Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the leader of IT and development at a Telecommunication company, delivering B2B subscriptions and solutions to the Norwegian market.

For what projects/services did your company hire Frontbyte AS, and what were your goals?

We are using Frontbyte to a lot of the frontend work on our main solutions. This includes large projects like the whole solution for the web based switchboard system, including administration and underlaying sub-menues - in addition to our CRM system.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Knowledge from previous work, and quality of work.

The projects include project descriptions, leading to wireframes, design mock-ups, and then implementing design and connecting this to our APIs.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have for the entire period had a project manager assigned to the project, in addition to two full time developers and a designer. In addition we have had extra resources at times, including dedicated persons for mobile applications.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We deliver a cutting edge and leading solution for mobile solutions in the market, and the customer interfaces are key in achieving this.

We have weekly meetings to see status of development with internal and external team. In addition it is daily dialogue between developers.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We are pleased with the skills of the people assigned to our project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We hare happy with current status, and also why we have kept the cooperation with Frontbyte for so long.

I'm the COO of Semine AS, we develop an AI based automated accounts payable software product.

We started with frontend development resources from Frontbyte, soon to extend into backend development and testers as well. In total we were 9 resources contracted from Frontbyte full-time at the most. We were having trouble recruiting the right resources to fill open positions in Norway and decided to go ahead with an outsourced team to extend our local team in Norway.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

One of our owners had a relationship with Frontbyte from before, that is how we got in touch with them initially.

The project itself was not defined with a detailed spec, the resources from Frontbyte contributed in our general software development, extending our product development teams and working on the product roadmap and backlog activities. The team used Angular and C#.

9 in total. 3 frontend development, 3 backend development, 2 testers. In addition to a project manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to scale our frontend and backend development capacity at a far greater pace than what we would have been able to locally.

We mostly controlled the developers ourselves, but the project manager from Frontbyte did the necessary HR and communication acitivities, planned leaves and other obstacles we met in the course of the projcet.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The ability to find highly skilled developers quickly is what sets them apart.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing specific that comes to my mind, no.
