Our goal was to build a new brand and web platform on top of Shopify that was scalable. The first deliverable was to create a new compamny logo. The second was to deisng and create a new website that featured the new logo and company identity. The final step was to incorporate this deign and user experience to our Shopify storefront. There were also a few addtional forms and apps integrated within the platform.

We were their first Shopify client which came with some hicups. Mainly, the struggles were with the native capabilities of the Shopify platform, not the team, but this created a hiccup or two for some parts of the projects.

We had recently acquired another company, and wanted to create a new website with most of the content on each individual site (our current one, and the acquired company's site). We needed help with a new design aesthetic, Webflow implementation and structuring, content migration, UI design, technical SEO implementation and 301 redirects, as well as development of an in-house LMS system.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Timeline was one of our main goals: to migrate the acquired website soon enough that we could begin capturing more and more leads from the acquired website, to the parent company. In that, they did very well. They were even able to accommodate nuances: we asked that they skip some areas of the redevelopment of content to prioritize an early live launch, and that we revisit those areas later once the new site was in place. They've been great at this, and they're our ongoing design partner.

I love the fact that they're intelligent, responsive, and understanding via Slack. They didn't need long complex requirements gathering calls all the time, to get things done.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Great written communication, great design taste, responsive and quick to learn our tastes and preferences. There are some companies that may want more of a "song and dance" from their agency. But I not only don't expect that, I actively don't want it. So Foursets is perfect for the efficient team that needs a great partner while not sacrificing quality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Foursets could have done differently?

There were a few minor things on the edges of SEO - couple redirects that didn't make it from a thorough Screaming Frog crawl to their presented list of URLs to migrate, that kind of thing. Nothing that I wouldn't expect in a normal QA process. Besides, I put into context the value received for money: the work we get from Foursets is better than what many people seem to spend 50-150% more for, than what we get. Overall. So this is a case of, "you get more than you pay for, but you don't get every last thing."

To start they helped us find inspiration for what we were after, and used our existing research to help them understand our industry and what we thought would help us stand out. Once design was approved, the built the website in Webflow and turned it over to us in a way that is easy for us to update and manage the content.

At each point in the process, Foursets provided a new deliverable. A map of the content for the website, wireframes of the design, high fidelity mockups, and finally the actual website. They were pretty much always timely with their progress updates and were very receptive to feedback.

Yes, they routinely delivered items on time. The original timeline was shorter than what it actually took, but that is also because we asked for several changes. They were very receptive to changes and handled them well. They were also great at explaining certain decisions and concepts to us so that we could understand.

Day-to-day communication/updates during the website build were rare. It would have been nice to even see screenshot updates of the work progressing.

I'm the founder of a video production and strategy company for consumer packaged goods mostly.

What challenge were you trying to address with Foursets?
We needed to create a new website that was more modern, organized, and attractive to bring in more lead flow and elevate our web presence.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Foursets completely redesigned our website and was responsible for the end-to-end rebuild using Webflow and JavaScript. The team defined the site's design layout and provided copywriting. I requested the team to perform flexible customizations, especially for our portfolio and sorting options. I also requested Foursets to lay out the site in a way that navigation would be easy to digest and to make it mobile responsive. My previous site was slower and not optimized for search engines.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After Foursets launched our new site, we saw a substantial increase in web speed and a much better mobile experience. We received a couple of leads right out of the gate and saw more submissions coming from search optimization. The site also had improved lead flow and navigation. The final website was effective, and we were really happy with the result. 

Foursets was very responsive, and I had no complaints about their work. The team's work received many compliments and improved our SEO.

We communicated via Slack and Zoom meetings. Foursets was accommodating and stayed within budget. The team was quick in their development approach, making the process easy. Foursets made the development process seamless and didn't overburden me with decisions because I also had help from my team.

Foursets wasn't the least expensive option but provided a lot more value for our money. We received high-quality work and worked with a team of experts. If I had spent the same budget working with a company from the US, I would've worked with a less experienced team. Foursets had an impressive attention to detail and focus.

1. Develop a new brand for our company. This included research on their end about the company, services, customers, and our vision and mission. It also included multiple brand concepts and iterations that culminated in a final brand guideline package. This included fonts, logos, text, usage, placement, creative briefs, background, etc.
2. UI/UX for our website and making sure that the flow of the site matched the brand and story that we are trying to tell to our customers. 
3. Website Development was the last part of the scope that took everything we created and brought it together in a beautiful digital online presence.

When searching the web for design inspiration and design approaches, there was a sea of carbon copy designs. Whenever a new/creative/clean design caught our eye, it dawned on us to find the people doing the best work. That company was Foursets.

The project is to help build a powerful SaaS application that's information and data shown will inspire enterprise customers to reduce their water consumption. We cannot share the project details publically, but the project's complexity required not only excellent design but also a designer with keen reasoning skills.

I’m the CPO of Softvoya, a software development company. We have a few different directions, including our own internal product and a project outsourcing department, where we create products upon customer needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Foursets?

We hired them to provide UI/UX design for a web application; we wanted to streamline the UX and ensure the UI was user-friendly and the user path was top-notch.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Foursets designed the UI/UX of a web application for our end client using Figma. First, we provided them with the business requirements, user stories, and task descriptions. We also gave them the basic colors and fonts we wanted to use, and they helped us pick the best options for both of those elements. 

The team reviewed the documentation and conducted user research to determine the user personas. They interviewed potential users and checked what our competitors were doing and how they responded to the challenges we were facing. They determined how we could utilize past practices to ensure that the product we created met market expectations. 

Our design requirements included making the product user-friendly. We also wanted the deliverables to be optimized for the frontend development team in terms of the app's components. We requested that the user flow be streamlined and that every component be applicable to different parts of the system in the same way. 

From there, the team created wireframes, user paths, and a prototype. We tested the prototype to see how users would interact with the UI and provided feedback. Foursets adjusted the design based on our comments. Once they completed the prototype and the wireframing stages, Foursets created the design system with the components that should be applied to the whole product. Then, we used the design system with the mock-up's layout. 

What is the team composition?

We mostly worked with Nick (Founder & UI/UX Designer), who was in charge of most of the project. In addition, a UI designer from Foursets worked directly with our development team. 

How did you come to work with Foursets?

I was already acquainted with Nick and knew he had started Foursets. He's a great designer, and I knew I could trust his opinion and that he'd provide a great product. Therefore, when we needed help, we got in touch with Foursets. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $20,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

This project lasted from November 2021–October 2022. Even though this project is finished, there's potential for us to work with Foursets on future projects together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our primary measure of Foursets’ success was our client’s satisfaction — when the customer is happy, we’re happy. The app’s UX was good; users didn’t experience significant issues determining what actions they needed to complete to use the product. These results garnered positive reviews from our client. Secondly, we also measured the good turnaround speed of the development team; the better the UI/UX design, the faster the development process. 

How did Foursets perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was great. Nick was always reachable for questions, even outside of working hours. Foursets also set reasonable deadlines, and they always met them. We use a task management system we created ourselves. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with Foursets’ ability to meet expectations and deadlines. Their ability to provide creative solutions also stood out. The team always pursued our vision and made the best decisions for the user. 

Although the end client wanted things one way, the Foursets team was able to negotiate a solution to ensure that the design was user-friendly. Overall, Foursets was great at educating us and helping us make informed decisions. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was nothing they needed to improve. Foursets should just keep growing!

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Listen carefully to Foursets’ ideas. Sometimes, you have to give them creative freedom and let them make decisions for you. If you let them surprise you, they can provide results that will blow your mind.
