Our Story

Fostech was founded in 2026 by Chris Foster, bringing more than 25 years of technical experience to an independent consultancy. Clients work directly with Chris from discovery and advice through delivery and support. AI agents and modern tools support the work, with Chris responsible for decisions and quality. The approach is practical: clear priorities, manageable stages, documented systems and client ownership of accounts and code.

Commonly Asked Questions

Clients work directly with Chris Foster, remotely from Matlock, Derbyshire. Start with the question, idea or system you need help with. Advice and discovery can be standalone engagements. Delivery is organised into manageable stages with a defined scope, agreed cost and a review before committing to further work.

Yes. Small integrations, improvements, technical advice and support requests are welcome, with no minimum project budget. Standard rates are £750 per day, or £120 per hour for smaller jobs and support. Where scope is clear, a fixed-cost stage can be agreed; discovery comes first where important unknowns remain.

Fostech’s approach is to keep clients in control of their own systems and accounts, document important operating knowledge and avoid unnecessary supplier lock-in. Ownership and access arrangements are agreed as part of the work.
