We undertook a complete corporate website revamp with several key objectives in mind: streamlining overall and page-specific navigation while preserving the core brand identity, migrating from Hygraph to WordPress within a headless CMS framework, and enhancing our already strong web performance metrics, including Core Web Vitals.

Another crucial goal was to create a user-friendly CMS that would enable non-technical teams to independently create content, build, and publish new pages. Pawel and his team spearheaded the website and CMS development, working closely with our designers and offering constructive input to enhance the design and functionality of the mockups.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We met our go-live date with a successful migration. We immediately saw consistent improvements in our Core Web Vitals, which directly contributed to a significant boost in our organic traffic and keyword ranking.

What was the scope of their involvement?

FlyHigh.PRO provided web design and development services. They started to build the platform based on the mock-ups that a designer created for us to help us outline our ideas on how we wanted the site to look. Their team was super helpful in helping us find what could work well to make our design functional.

Consequently, they started the development phase for the site, which they currently maintain and update.

I worked with two members of FlyHigh.PRO's team, including Gary (CEO).

Our graphic designer referred them to us. After an initial conversation with Gary about our expectations, we decided to work with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on the website's development from December 2021–February 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website FlyHigh.PRO created for us was great, and we were very happy with it. It was important to have a nice site so people could find information about our work, and they delivered just that.

Project management was great; FlyHigh.PRO's team was responsive to our inquiries, honest, and clear with the timeline expectations. Regarding communication, we used email and phone calls — whenever we sent them an email, they immediately got back to us.

They work very quickly and efficiently - I think this is due to good communication - both internally and with me as a partner. We use slack, google meet and phone calls to communicate.

Not for me:) We are in constant contact. Whenever there is a need to change in a specific area, we talk openly about our needs.

Shipyard Foundation was established in 2009. For over 13 years, we have been creating and supporting effective solutions to social challenges, involving citizens in deciding on public matters and helping organizations and local governments to plan and implement social activities. We develop and disseminate good practices, create tools to simplify facilitation of social activities, conduct social research, we also train and develop educational materials. The effects of our activities are used by e.g.: seniors, students and teachers, citizens, activists and local government officials from all over Poland. We have used many 3rd party developers in the past 18 years for a wide range of development projects. It's been challenging for us to find someone reliable, not freelance, reasonably priced, and flexible enough to support the many changes and requests that come from our clients. We had worked with FlyHigh through a mutual client in the past, and were impressed not only with the way they developed the website, but their communication skills.

We brought our initial designs to them and they adjusted and improved our designs, and created mockups for each page. They worked on a custom backend in wordpress that is completely clean and flexible - we are able to insert any of the features as blocks in the backend. And all of this for both English and Chinese.

We primarily worked with our main contact, who farmed out the work to their team.

We have a beautiful website, easy to use and maintain, and a very happy client. It has enabled us to not have to build a development team in-house - having this reliable a partner I don't see any need for it.

The professionalism and flexibility really helped us. Especially as an agency, it is hard to manage the clients and when they see it actually developed, decide to change this and that.

I’m a lead service designer at a sustainability ratings organization. Working in the marketing operations team, I manage our website and web tools. We build multiple sites and apps, and I manage all those processes and the team members involved.

What challenge were you trying to address with FlyHigh.PRO?

Our old site was a mess and had no architecture to speak of, so we brought on FlyHigh.PRO to revamp it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

FlyHigh.PRO has redesigned our website. They were involved in the requirements-gathering phase, created the design, and then developed the site from scratch using WordPress. I worked closely with them to clean up the site’s architecture, and we redirected and cleaned up about 20,000 links from the old site. They helped us review the previous site’s pages to decide which ones to keep and which to sunset. 

The new site has 25 pages where users can gather information on our SaaS product, sign up, and find case studies, testimonials, white papers, infographics on our offerings, and general industry stats or news about sustainability. Currently, they provide maintenance and updates for the website. 

Additionally, the team provides us with development and design services. We have a documentation process for all our projects; our project request team creates a brief with use cases, requirements, needs, nice-to-haves, and inspiration materials. The request team usually has the content ready regarding our existing modules. From there, we go over what we might need for the FlyHigh.PRO design and development teams to build the needed solution. 

Since we’re an international company, there are many regulations we need to observe, such as the GDPR and integrations we must have, such as OneTrust. We also work with them on our tracking tools, including Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. They’ve helped us transition into the new Google Analytics platform and set that up for us. 

We have nine websites with different languages, and FlyHigh.PRO ensures we’re compliant with regulations across all of them. They maintain all our sites and help us set up processes and translation, managing the latter using third-party tools. The team uses InVision for web design and Figma for page design update requests. In addition, they use LottieFiles for all the interactive content on our sites. 

What is the team composition?

We work with around four FlyHigh.PRO teammates. We communicate requirements and needs directly with the founders and then work with other team members during the execution, depending on the project scope. 

How did you come to work with FlyHigh.PRO?

They were already our partner when I started working for the company. Based on their previous work with us, it was an easy decision to continue working with FlyHigh.PRO.

What is the status of this engagement?

The website redesign happened from October 2018–October 2019. Our engagement with FlyHigh.PRO is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve seen double digits in our traffic since our site launched; since 2020, our site’s traffic has quadrupled. Additionally, page views have increased by 50% year-over-year, the average time on pages has improved, and the bounce rate has decreased by 0.7%. Unique page views and organic new users have also increased by 22%

How did FlyHigh.PRO perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re responsive to requests and great about commenting and updating the status as they work. The team is integrated into Wrike, which is our project management platform. 

FlyHigh.PRO is also communicative; they’re on our company Slack channel, where we can ask them questions. When we message them to check on anything, they get back to us right away, even though they’re in a different time zone — they’re very responsive. We use Zoom and Google Meet for video calls and also communicate through email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

FlyHigh.PRO is very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to development. Regarding our regulations and integrations, the team has had to do some workarounds, and they’re really good about knowing the technology side, which I appreciate. Moreover, their expertise goes beyond developing a website. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have constructive feedback.

I’m very clear and direct in my instructions, feedback, and requests, which has worked well with FlyHigh.PRO. Therefore, I recommend knowing what you want and articulating that — it’s important for any creative project.
