Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the Director of Field Operations at a General Contracting Construction Company. We build communities spaces in the PNW.

For what projects/services did your company hire Flannel Media, and what were your goals?

We hired Flannel Media to help us create a brand video. Our goal was to create a video that represented our company and culture that could be used as a recruiting tool.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We met with multiple candidates and choose Flannel Media due to their professionalism and understanding of our story. They listened and asked clarifying questions but never tried to drive the production to agenda that didn't align with our vision.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We had an introductory meeting where we explained high level our vision. From there we were given questionnaires to help us get clarity on our target and message for the video. We then met with Taylor and went through a storyboard of what the goal of the video would be. We worked together to come up with who was going to be interviewed and what the questions would be for each position.

We then scheduled film days on different jobsites. After 4 days of filming Taylor and his team compiled the first draft of a video for our review. We sent back edits and after the 3 round we had our final product.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Taylor produced and directed the entire process. He utilized free-lance videographers to capture some of the footage. We received consistent feedback through out each stage of the process so we knew we were staying on track with our messaging. It also helped us adjust future filming days to accommodate specific shots. During the review process we received consistent feedback but were also given time to digest and take in the video as a team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The first draft we received of the video required only minor edits to get us to a final product. This speaks to Taylor and his teams ability to capture the story you agree on in the first take.

Taylor was easy to communicate with and showed you where you were at in the process, He utilized videos to help explain each step as well as set up consistent calls as you moved through the process.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The hands on approach they took to capturing our story. They made themselves apart of the team for the time they worked on the project which created a level of trust that shined through in the final product. They truly were craftsmen of the film world.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wish we would have dedicated more time on the front end as a team to get clarity on our messaging. Thankfully Flannel Medias process draws that out of you.

He was recommended by a well known expert in this field Eric Fry.

Built our website, developed brand and all marketing materials, developed informational videos used on our website, developed email campaigns, helped develop sales material and sales staff.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have an excellent website that educates and attracts qualified customers. We have excellent sales materials to leave with home and building owners and we have a trackable sales funnel. Taylor is also assisting in the recruitment of sales people to develop our sales team.

He provided us with weekly summaries of projects he was working on and things we needed to work on as well. we have biweekly conference calls to discuss everything we are developing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Taylor is very intuitive. He always has excellent ideas and helps us flush out great ideas.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't think of anything. We would higher his company again and have kept him on retainer for the past year.

For what projects/services did your company hire Flannel Media, and what were your goals?

Seeking a video and social media snippets to do three things:

• let kids know youth ride free,
• show basics about how to ride while making the bus feel easy, cool and fun and
• introduce the basic tenets of "respecting the ride" (aka how to behave and how the city bus is different than a school bus).

Reached out to three or four vendors and evaluated cost, relevant samples and project approach.

• Kickoff Meeting to address goals and begin to develop a storyboard.
• Storyboard to see if we're all on the same page. Collaborate on look, feel, style, tone, etc.
• Plan everything for the days of filming, including talent, location, props, shot list, etc.
• Filming
• Post Production
• Revisions
• Distribution. Helpful checklist to help us get the most out of our distribution strategy.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked with the project manager. Great listener and took care to reflect back what he heard and how he planned to integrate our goals and ideas into the project.

Lots of online engagement, and positive response from our internal customers.

Good listeners. They asked great questions. And when it came to the key points of our project, they "got it."

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Very flexible, responsive and professional. Even the process of filming (with multiple actors and a moving set (our video was mostly filmed on a bus)) was fun.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We may have slightly underestimated the amount of time we needed on filming day. But as always, there were many circumstances out of our control. No major concerns.
