I was approach by Seth  from FictiveStudios almost 5 years ago after contacting them about my project. The application project supposed to be a 6 months contract as it was a very straight forward with the design i provided to them. I made a payment after signing the contract agreement to start the project. They did the wireframes which i signed off on that on July 29, 2021 and paid the rest of the money required to move forward. Things started going south after so many delays and changing the project manager because the app was crashing from the demo they presented. There were 7 different project managers who worked on the application during these 5 years periode

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

despite the succession of many project managers, the crashing issue that was happening never got resolved. At some point they stopped all comunication with me and i couldn't get anyone on the phone to keep the project going since i was paying for Amazon Web Service and no one was answering my calls. After a several a months no answer, i then stopped all payment for my AWS account and wrote a long review about the company on line. After a few months i was then approach by Bryan who supposed to be the supervisor for the previous teams that worked on my project. They proposed me to resume their work on my projects if i would take down my review about the company. I took down my review and they restarted the project from scrash with a different team and Brandon was the project manager until Juin 4th 2025 when he also suddenly disappeared for no reason and i can't get anyone else on the phone to talk to

After they restarted my project from scrash again with Brandon as the project manager he was able to bring the project to live but with so many delays and lot of of patience on my part until Juin 4th 2025 when he also suddenly disappeared for no reason and my project is not finish. The app does not meet the specified standard, the duration has exceeded the initial timeline, and all payments has been made for completion and hosting of the app. The project's prolonged duration, far exceeding the initial timeline (3 - 4 months), is just the tip of the iceberg. Adding insult to injury, despite the project's incomplete state, we were charged a hosting fee for a service that was never fully delivered. To date, Fictive Studios has not only failed to refund this unwarranted charge but has also refused to provide essential documentation, code access, and critical credentials, even after repeated demands. Their unresponsiveness and lack of cooperation in handing over our own intellectual property is a testament to their incredibly poor business practices.

Communication was abysmal, often requiring multiple follow-ups for even the simplest updates. Promises were consistently broken, and the progress made was minimal, leaving us with an unfinished and unusable app.

Our experience with Fictive Studios was nothing short of a complete disaster, deserving a resounding **zero stars**. What began on September 12, 2022, as a promising mobile app development project has devolved into nearly 2 years and 8 months of extreme frustration, missed deadlines, frquent transfer of our project from one person to another, and a shocking display of unprofessionalism. They tried to coerce us to give a positive review even when the app is not completed but we resisted them.

This developer has demonstrated a profound lack of accountability and respect. WE DEEPLY REGRET EVER ENGAGING FICTIVE STUDIOS AND URGE ANYONE CONSIDERING THEIR SERVICES TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. Save yourself the significant financial loss, wasted time, and immense stress. They failed to deliver on every front.  Be careful when you give them access to your Google and Apple Developer Accounts with your credit card linked, because we experienced a fraudulent purchase of alcohol worth about $180 through our Google account and 9 times $19.99 payments from our linked credit card.

I haven’t made any revenue and am close to filing for bankruptcy. I’ve also lost my house, and my credit score has fallen — I don’t even get looked at as a qualifying candidate for anything. 

How did Fictive Studios address the challenges that arose?

I’ve repeated myself many times, telling them what I wanted. However, it’s taken them weeks to fix certain features within the app. What was supposed to be a six-month project has taken over a year and a half to get to the market. I’ve contacted another development company to oversee the project. They’ve told me I’ve been lowballed; the product is low-budget. 

How was project management handled?

The last four project managers have been absolutely terrible and wasted my time. Brandon (Project Manager) has tried to make things right and get the project done. He’s gotten the product to the market. While it isn’t satisfactory, he’s trying to work on it. He’s fixing it so it can go up and running. 

Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?

Fictive Studios is good at color schemes and design integrations. However, when it comes to functionality, they’re not great. Nonetheless, Brandon has tried to turn the project around, so he gets five stars from me. 

In what specific areas can they improve?

They must improve their communication. When the client finds something wrong, the team needs to finish it on the spot and not take weeks at a time to fix it. 

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

My project is supposed to be a game-changer in social media. If the project isn’t world-changing, I’d say hire them. However, my project is way out of their league, and they shouldn’t have touched it.

I cannot any more Fictive-Im doing you a personal favor and literally I dont want anything from you in return, I wont charge any hidden charges for the revisions that you asked All that Im saying is, You can do anything you want with fictives But please give me a chance.

What I will do in return as additional benefit is I will provide you with 2 month additional maintenance and hosting and I will provide you that in written with my signature on it. I will say they are not allowed to take my idea and use it else where as I will file a lawsuit for Plagiarizing my work. I do not recommend them. I’ve literally shared the highlights they just want your money and do not want to give you a good WORKING project in the end.

We put out an RFP and there were 10 firms that we shortlisted. Based on detailed call with fictive studios team and solution they proposed, we decided to hire them.

The team compromised of dedicated designers, Business Analyst along with technical account manager. The technical project manager was guiding all resources along with native app developers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The app is a great success. Our information and files were completely moved to cloud infrastructure and all company resources are using it from their cellphones.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The team was very flexible with all the changes and correspondence. Also they kept us informed to each and every milestone via email and teamwork. The deadlines were met by them very easily.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The impressive thing was they just not developed the app, they are providing us ways on how we can commercialize this app as a product so others can benefit from it.

There were delays from our side of data migration but none from their end.

I hired Matt the main person who runs Fictive Studios to build an e-commerce website for my company. 5 weeks after the initial design of the website he convinces me to build the mobile app side by side with the website. He also sold me a video explainer which I was stupid enough to jump in without checking the company's background. Matt and every person that works with Fictive studios didn't have a LinkedIn account.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I was introduced by a client who was just starting a project with them. This client did not get her website and mobile app and Matt the manager of Fictive Studios posted the client's website contents when the client got tired of waiting for the website to be done.

The project never passed the design stage proposal because the design did not include the cart, checkout, and payment process. The project started in February, I asked for the Payment portal beginning May. Matt could not update the design proposal until I decided to leave the project.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with three people in the company. We started working under the parent company Webilistic.com but when Matt started to run the company Fictive Studios he took my project and continue under Fictive Studios. Bryan joins him but Jay stayed with Webilistic. None of them have social media account. I sent them a welcome gift card from amazon via email. When I called Amazon as I was investigating them, the name who claimed the gift card has different names with the same email address.

I did not receive ANYTHING from Fictive Studios. I wish I could post the email and text conversations we had here to show proof that Matt and Bryan failed to communicate and deliver the order to me.

VERY IMPRESSIVE. Fictive Studios mastered the area of selling project management, communication, and timelines. But then after 2 months, I realized, I only see management, communication, and timelines but NO PROJECT. Fictive Studios are selling digital products and services WITHOUT people doing the work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I am impressed, by how this company exists without being registered anywhere in the US. The company's address is in TEXAS, 17622 Rose Summit Ln, Richmond, TX 77407 but, if you google map it, the address is in the middle of nowhere. You can't find any of the staff in LinkedIn and their FB account is set as 'community' instead as a business page. WHY? So people can't leave a review.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

This company/people are good salesmen. They actually know the digital business and its market. There are many people who are willing to risk their retirement and savings because they believe in their ideas and dreams. I gave them what they ask for the job, I did not huggle. I was on time with my payment schedule. I was always considerate and courteous. But this company is not looking to build their business with anyone. This company is up for one-time transactions. They have no intention to build whatever they are selling on their website since they do not have a staff to do the job.

Matt and his team should NEVER post my website materials. After I left this company with $30,000 in their pocket in October. This company posted my website materials without my permission to bully me. They shouldn't have done that. They posted my materials via an app. So Fictive Studios and Matt were really calling for attention. So here's the attention you need. I hope this covers everything including helping others to make a smart decision on how to pursue their ideas. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE that you cannot verify their credentials. Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and founder of Samaritan Services LLC, which revolves around an app called Erandz. It’s a lot like Postmates or UberEats but with errands. The app features independent contractors nationwide as well as about 5,000 drivers who’ve applied.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fictive Studios?

When I originally created the app, it wasn’t nearly as functional as I needed it to be. I got in touch with Fictive Studios, and they’ve been working to make the solution exactly how I want it to be.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Fictive Studios has basically taken over my errand app’s development, using information that I’ve provided to deliver the solution. To do that, they’ve come up with a system that has driver- and customer-specific interfaces.

There are a number of features and integrations that we’re planning to create for drivers. When a driver first applies to be on our app, the system will run them through a series of requirements to check their background. It can then automatically decipher if a driver doesn’t meet the requirements listed. 

On the customer side, users will be able to create a profile to see a list of all drivers in their region. There will also be a Google Maps implementation that will allow customers to track their drivers to ensure that there’s no foul play. 

So far, they’ve done our website as part of an additional web design and SEO package. Having the site online allows us to start collecting driver applications to build up our fleet. We’re now getting ready to submit the app to iTunes and Google Play, which will get the business ready to go.

What is the team composition? 

The account manager I’ve always spoken to has a team underneath him that's doing an amazing job. I prefer to keep communication between me and the account manager to avoid confusion.

How did you come to work with Fictive Studios?

My wife called a bunch of companies when we were looking for a developer, and Fictive Studios was one of the companies that called back. My biggest issue about doing this project was the financial part, but they were more than willing to work with me on the price. The team came up with a payment plan so that I didn’t have to pay for their services all at once. That was a lifesaver, to say the least. What’s more, they were easy to talk to, and I trusted them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve only spent about $5,000–$10,000. The total cost for the project will be closer to $75,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

They’ve been working with us since January 2021. Once the app is submitted to Google Play and iTunes, we expect it to go live in March 2021. Then, we’ll shift into a six-month marketing campaign, which will include SEO work, press releases, and social media support.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’re doing an extraordinary job. I’ve been quoted far more for what they’re doing for me, so I very much appreciate that they’ve been willing to work within my budget. They’ve found ways to save me money everywhere they could.

How did Fictive Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

We originally put a two-month deadline on the project, but I’ve added elements as far as web design and business cards that have extended the schedule. Partway through, I’ve even changed the whole name of the app. These haven’t been big deals at all — they’ve just rolled with what I’ve asked of them and have really come through for me.

I’ve communicated with them every day since the project has begun, with the exception of weekends. We just use Zoom and phone calls. Our account manager understands exactly what I want, so it’s been great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As I’ve mentioned earlier, they’re willing to work with me on my budget, charging payments rather than requiring an up-front payment. The team is also very easy to talk to. They’re a respectful, professional organization, and a lot of other companies I’ve spoken to in this industry simply haven’t been.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t say anything here because they’ve given me more than I’ve asked for. They’ve gone above and beyond. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Rather than treating this as a strict business-client relationship, I suggest talking to Fictive Studios as if they were a friend. Try to get on the same page and don’t be too demanding. Being respectful and having good communication really go a long way.

Crosstalk is a mobile app which helps people find churches and ministries within a desired area based on search filter algorithm criteria.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fictive Studios, and what were your goals?

I brought this project to Jay Bradly at Fictive Studios to completely redesign the UI of the app primarily. We were also able to triple, if not quadruple the functionality of the app from the original design.

How did you select Fictive Studios and what were the deciding factors?

Jay Bradly originally created a new website for my nonprofit. After seeing how responsive he was to that I decided to give them the challenge of redeveloping my app.

Jay has been patient and understanding throughput the whole process and is ultimately the reason why I’ve stuck with Fictive.

The scope of work consisted of a complete overhaul of the first design and a fresh take on the functionality the app required.

Jay Bradly hands down the best project manager I’ve ever worked with. Jay primary interacted with the designers and developers throughout the project so I wouldn’t have to. He not only was able to manage them but me as well.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

None yet.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

Originally the project was planned to only take 4 months from start to finish, then COVID hit. Here we are month 13 with about two to three months left to go before I have a viable working app.

Despite the extended timeline, Jay has never once become frustrated or let the scope of the project overwhelm him. Certain things were just out of his control but in the end benefited the app more than I could have imagined.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their dedication and a never say no attitude are impressive. My previous developers would always say no, to everything, “let’s just move that to phase two.” These guys aren’t like that, constantly Jay would say “yes, that can be done with no problem.”

The timeline of the project has sucked with COVID and all but the dedication of the team has not. Even when I’m texting him at 11pm at night, he responds.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Certain designers were not up the par, certain developers were not as quick as I would have liked. But Hay managed the project and replaced these teams with people who could get the project done and deliver consistently.
