I met Frank for the first time at a business event. I was immediately impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of IT and IT security. Since my company, LPS Associates, LLC, sells and implements Voice over IP telephone systems, Video Conferencing systems, and complex AV solutions, we deal with IT vendors all the time and I can tell you the knowledge and professionalism of these vendors is average at best and I certainly would not recommend them to any of my clients.

Recently, a long-time phone customer of ours approached me with a serious IT problem. They believed they had a virus on their server and it was impacting their business operations and they were panicked that they would lose their CRM database which is the lifeblood of their business. Since I am always hesitant to recommend vendors who I have not worked with, I politely told them I didn't know anyone. They came back to me a day later and asked for help again - this time I decided to give Ferrara IT a try and recommended them to my client.

Since this was a critical issue, I contacted Frank directly and asked for his assistance. I explained the situation about my client’s concerns with their CRM database and how this needed to be resolved as quickly as possible. That call happened on a Friday, Frank rearranged his schedule and was in my client’s office Monday morning. Not wanting to leave anything to chance, I worked out my client's office that day, so I could observe Frank and how he interacted with my client.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

During this process, my client made Frank aware that some strange things had been happening (printers could not be accessed, reduced speeds, devices having to be rebooted multiple times in order to get them on the network, etc.) and asked if this was related to the virus. Frank assured them he would look into it. Since this was towards the end of the day, it would have been easy for Frank to tell them he could not find anything. Instead he went on a mission to figure out what was going on and at around 7pm that night he discovered that a “rogue” postage device that was configured improperly, had been plugged into their network and was handing out IP addresses, causing all of the issues they had been experiencing. Needless to say, my client was thrilled. Frank not only made himself look good, he made me look good.

As I had hoped, Frank was extremely professional, he explained exactly what he was going do to remediate the virus and assured my client that they would be protected going forward based on the recommended software he was installing. He provided updates throughout the process and explained the type of viruses he had found and let them know he took care of them and that their data was safe.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Frank and his company are the epitome of the slogan “going the extra mile”. My first-hand experience of their professionalism, knowledge, and care demonstrated to me that Ferrara IT truly cares about their customers. Most companies talk about customer service and how they are focused on it, but it is rare to see it in practice. I am excited that I now have an IT Company I can trust to work with my clients. We brought in Ferrara IT to support one of our clients following a ransomware incident. Their team played a critical role in helping stabilize the environment and rebuild with a focus on resilience and long-term security.

They handled the remediation process with professionalism and urgency—working closely with the client to migrate core systems to the cloud, implement a modern backup solution, and replace outdated network hardware. Their technical expertise, clear communication, and ability to execute under pressure made a lasting impact.

Their team was proactive, highly communicative, and committed to long-term solutions, not just quick patches. That level of ownership and professionalism is rare, and it made a lasting impression on both us and our client.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Ferrara IT Services could have done differently?

If there’s any area for improvement, it would simply be scaling their documentation delivery in real time during fast-moving phases of the project. While their communication and execution were top-notch, having certain post-implementation materials or network diagrams available a bit earlier would have been helpful. That said, everything was delivered in full by the end of the engagement, and their willingness to follow through thoroughly is appreciated.
