What challenge were you trying to address with Famous Victory?

We needed a new website along with rebranding services, so we hired Famous Victory. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Famous Victory designed our website. They also produced marketing collateral for us, including brochures, templates, and copy for the collateral. To do these, we initially defined our goals. We provided them with all our existing branding, social media assets, and content. They interviewed a few of us at the office to understand our values, personality, and vision. The team used the information to create a new brand for us. 

From there, the team presented us with suggestions for our brand’s look, feel, and voice. We gave them feedback, tweaks, and new ideas. Once we settled on a new logo and branding, they started building the website’s prototype. They redesigned the site’s workflow and presented it to us. From there, they partnered with a third party to develop the site. Within that, they provided us with new marketing assets. The main tools they used included InVision.

We worked with 4–5 teammates on this project. These included an account director, an account executive and strategist, and Kiley (Partner & Creative Director).

I found some branding work that I was impressed with, so I tracked down who did it — it was Famous Victory.

The project lasted from January 2022–August 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’d seen easier UX on our website, which resulted in increased revenue. Famous Victory created an experience that was engaging for our customers, who could find what they needed easily and buy products more effectively. 

How did Famous Victory perform from a project management standpoint?

All of their teammates were amazing and served our different needs. Kiley was our first point of contact, and she was incredibly responsive and empathetic to our needs. She did a great job of bringing those needs to life. 

Moreover, they always met deadlines and never exceeded our budget. To communicate, we mainly used emails, calls, and video calls. They also came to our office a couple of times.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their work was exceptional and exceeded my expectations.

No, there weren’t any.

You can trust Famous Victory. They’ve been able to articulate what we’ve struggled to articulate, and they’ve developed exactly what we need to expand our brand. Given that, my advice is to hire them.

What challenge were you trying to address with Famous Victory Branding & Design?

My partner and I were starting the consulting firm and needed a service provider to help us develop our entire branding and website. Having a consistent style, tone, and color palette was important to us. We also wanted to create an effective and professional logo.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Over the course of a few months, we had several structured conversations where we discussed a clear roadmap with Famous Victory Branding & Design. They gave us prompts to think about as a firm; we took notes and shared the results with them. After that, we had a conversation to flesh out the different aspects that were important to us.

We split the work into three different phases and worked through them together. The first phase was the development of our branding, where they created several concepts that we talked through and refined. We shared examples of logos that we liked, and they looked at other professional services firms to understand the tone and messaging that was out there. Then, they crafted branding materials that were unique, credible, and polished. 

They also built our website from scratch using Squarespace. We went through a wire-framing process and spent a lot of time editing and creating the copy for the website. They helped provide the structure to that and were good about implementing our changes.

Ryan (Partner & Creative Director) was our project manager and leader. We also got a lot of support from Rebecca (Strategy Account Executive), who was more focused on the design elements and execution. Kiley (Partner & Creative Director) was also involved in the scoping process, but we mainly worked with Ryan and Rebecca.

We found Famous Victory Branding & Design through a referral. We found the examples of their prior work to be really compelling. We thought their proposal gave us what we needed and nothing more. It was clear that they listened to our needs and presented a proposal that met them in a timely and relatively cost-effective manner.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in August 2021 and concluded in December 2021. We still engage them occasionally for small one-off projects for social media graphics.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We're very happy with how the branding process with Famous Victory Branding & Design evolved. Collectively, we did a great job using our inputs and building from them in a way that was consistent with our voice and vision. It was helpful for us as a new firm to put words to our ideas and grapple with what was important to us and how best to convey it to the market.

The style, tone, and color palette of our branding documents were critical pieces of the engagement. The team created an effective, professional logo and color scheme, and their templated materials were fantastic. It was really exciting for us because, as a consulting firm, our product is our research report. 

​​​We’re very satisfied with the results of both the website and the branding. We started everything from scratch, so we don’t have data or specific KPIs. Our business is driven by relationships rather than SEO, so their impact was significant in giving us a landing page that really communicates who we are, what we do, and the clients we serve in a credible, professional manner.

Working with Ryan and his team was really enjoyable. We spent a lot of time with them over the phone, and there was a lot of back and forth. They would give us prompts to consider and give them feedback on, and then we’d synthesize from there. They did a great job of incorporating the information we shared to develop something we really felt represented us and our firm. Instead of doing things they thought might make sense, they approached the project from our perspective.

The project took slightly longer than the proposal suggested, but some of that was due to us needing time to process information and provide feedback. Overall, the team ran a good process and was very responsive and organized. We communicated via email and had calls via Google Meet.

Before engaging them, we had conversations about our firm's identity, culture, and vision, which gave us an effective and efficient starting point. Once we explained everything, they built on it, so go in with a clear sense of what you're trying to accomplish.

We were at the pre-launch stage where we had a concept in mind but didn’t have a name, aesthetic, logo, or any branding at all. We needed help with branding and marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The process started with a briefing where we described our business and vision. We had back and forth conversations with Famous Victory’s team to refine the look and feel of our brand.

That progressed into Famous Victory going through a naming exercise, and we talked about different names, concepts, and logos. We gave them our feedback, and after that they proceeded to create a full brand aesthetic, guide, and pitch deck.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our key metric is investor interest and municipal approval for the concepts we’re bringing to life so our brand has to be appealing. Everything has been good so far — we’ve moved several steps in the approval process, though it’s still ongoing. 

Currently, we’re at a point where we’ve named the venue and created its marketing materials. Our site hasn’t been built yet, but we’re using the branding assets Famous Victory has developed to sell the concept to the village and investors. 

We’ve received extremely positive feedback about our branding. People immediately understand what we’re trying to accomplish. They love our name and look; the whole branding package allows us to effectively convey what we’re trying to do. 

Prior to working with Famous Victory, we’ve been telling a story with incomplete branding that was haphazardly put — this brand refresh has done wonders. Now, we can send presentation materials, and there’s an immediate understanding and feedback from our audience.

How did Famous Victory Branding & Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Famous Victory has been effective at project management and very resolute in keeping us on task. We’re a little too busy sometimes and need to be reminded to stay on track — their project management has kept us on the rails. We usually communicate through Zoom. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Famous Victory’s patience and thoughtfulness distinguish them from other providers. They’ve coached us into unifying our vision. 

Often, when there are multiple people running the company, differences tend to be glossed over. They’ve forced us — in a positive way — to embrace our differenes and work through them. We clarified our vision before they did their work, and the outcome is representative of that. 

Others would just take what we gave them and send back what they want to send back. They won’t take the time to understand what we’re trying to do or make us understand what we’re trying to do. Famous Victory is not like that.

In addition, the rigor of Famous Victory’s process makes them stand out. They’ve gone through multiple rounds of feedback and revision just to learn and understand our brand. They’ve given us the right prompts to think about the question they were asking so the outcome will be representative of what we wanted. 

Once Famous Victory has developed and presented a logo and name, it felt immediately close to what we envisioned. Their patience, pre-work, and rigor has allowed us to hit our goals on the first pass. 

They’ve taken their time in understanding our brief and intent, and they’ve walked through our concept with the comprehensiveness and detail that is necessary to bring something like this to life.

I can’t think of anything. Whenever we encounter issues, it was caused by our side. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Come into it with a clear vision of what you care about. Make sure you understand what you’re trying to do, and have a more unified vision before you ask them to sort it out. Otherwise, you’ll be wasting your and their time.

What challenge were you trying to address with Famous Victory Branding & Design?

We’ve been working with Famous Victory since the inception of the company, so it’s difficult to pinpoint a specific challenge that they’ve helped us to solve. Nonetheless, they work as our partner for marketing and branding strategies. Essentially, they work as part of our team in terms of creative outputs and design. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Famous Victory has delivered virtually all our creative assets, including print ads, digital ads, emails, logo, and company name. In other words, we’ve partnered with them for the development and evolution of our brand identity. They also do copywriting for our direct mails and social ads, and the team develops our organic social posts and landing pages. 

Meanwhile, our collaboration has evolved over time. We now have a more robust team in our marketing department, so we now only have to fill out a creative brief for them. Our team outlines the problem that we want to solve, and then we have a kickoff meeting to go through the creative brief. From there, we make sure that everything is clear and address any follow-up questions from their side. 

At present, we’re working on a new evolution for our brand. We’ve also launched a couple of new products, and they’re working on that. We have another product coming up, and their resources will help develop the creative assets for that.

We’ve been successful in growing our business. Given the nature of our industry, in which we use consumer-facing channels and websites, their team has been involved with our brand articulation. The creative assets they’ve generated have successfully helped grow our business.

We treat Famous Victory as part of our team. In terms of communication, we have a point person from them that’s in charge of our account, while a person in our team is in charge of creative operations. Those two people liaise for regular upkeep. We connect with them via Zoom calls, but we've also traveled regularly to have in-person meetings with them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their people is the best part of working with them. They’re good, smart, hardworking, and conscientious, which leads to successful collaboration and good creative assets. At the core, they’ve built a good and strong team; they have all the characteristics that anyone looks for in a partner. Overall, they treat what we have as a true partnership, and that’s how we’ve successfully worked together for as long as we have.

No, there aren’t any. Even if things don’t work out, we don’t know how much of the issue is on us or on them; these partnerships are a two-way street.

Be organized and clear about your goals, and communicate with them. If you have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve, make sure that you communicate such goals clearly. They can only do as well as you help them.

I’m the founder and primary therapist for Porchlight Therapy and Addiction, a mental health and addiction private practice located in Boulder, Colorado.

What challenge were you trying to address with Famous Victory Branding & Design?

When I started my private practice, I was like a needle in a haystack in the therapists community, and I struggled to connect with potential clients. Also, therapy is a weird service to market — it’s different from other businesses since it’s a personal decision. Word of mouth and personal referrals tend to go a long way, but I needed to get myself recognized first, so I reached out to Famous Victory.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I reached out to Kiley (Partner & Creative Director) and discussed with her my present situation and needs, and she ran with it. She provided me with ideas on how I can present myself and my services to the market. 

Famous Victory built a website for me — they handled the design, including the logo and branding, and I wrote its content. The site had been our main project since that’s where people found me. However, they also created business cards and put out posters promoting my practice within a university area. 

We initially used WordPress, but after my website crashed last year, it had been rebuilt on a different platform.

I built my practice to the capacity that I wanted within six months — so much of that was because of my website. Most of my clients said they found me online and that my website looked awesome, and they liked its content.

We communicated using phone calls and email. I’m a therapist and don’t have a lot of technical or business background. I ask a lot of questions, and Famous Victory was great at spelling things out and making sure everything was clear. Our process had been straightforward — after they finished developing the website, they sent me a link, and all I had to do was fill in the content. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I love Famous Victory’s graphic design and artistic creativity. Their output blew my mind. They initiated various fun ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of by myself.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve always used Kiley (Partner & Creative Director) for all my albums and branding, and Famous Victory's services are all-encompassing. They design everything from my website and album artwork to banners, promotional materials, and merchandise. They’ve also helped me find things that I can model with a photographer. Kiley has been involved in the photoshoots, coming up with ideas and things to try in terms of styling. 

Famous Victory has asked me plenty of questions about the look and feel that people should experience when they go to my website. We’ve also come up with a branding strategy that reflects my music and my personality. I have another EP coming out in September, and we’re currently working on that.

I mainly work with Kiley, and she brings in Rebecca (Account Executive for Strategy) to keep track of our meetings and follow up on what needs to be done. I’ve also worked with Ryan (Partner & Creative Director), but my project with him didn’t come to fruition because of an unfortunate situation.

I get plenty of compliments around the look and feel of my materials and visual representations that accompany my music. Everything I do has a sleek and modern design, and people are constantly asking me who does my branding. Overall, our work has been a positive process. 

How did Famous Victory Branding & Design perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve always exceeded my expectations and delivered things ahead of deadlines. It’s truly nice because while I’m doing a lot of things, I never have to worry about Famous Victory not meeting the deadline. Artists can be flaky, but Famous Victory isn't like that. They’re always on top of everything, and they’re highly realistic about what can and can’t be done. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The Famous Victory team members are truly emotionally intelligent, especially as artists. Leading up to the branding options I've received, the questions they've asked indicate that they look at the bigger picture. They look holistically at different human experiences, so the way they think about imagery, colors, and spacing is awesome. They’re fair and truly good at what they do.

No, there aren’t any.

Be open-minded and know that Famous Victory is qualified and experienced. Don’t micromanage them; they have great ideas. Know what you want, but be open to their suggestions. You might benefit from not being too rigid at the beginning, so let their inspiration guide you more.
