BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of marketing of Nourish'd, a pre-made meal delivery company. Our meals are 100% gluten and preservative-free, and we specialize in dietary-specific meals.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Expressway Studio?

We needed a graphic designer in-house. We needed someone that could offer that service on a weekly basis.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We use Expressway Studio to outsource a designer. They’ve done designs, Instagram and social media tiles, logos, printed material, banners, web design, animated videos, business cards, stationary, and packaging.

For marketing campaigns, they've done several animated videos and organized voiceovers. First, they create a storyboard based on the brief and then take it through to design. We’ve had six completed animated videos, but we also get small clops and gifs for our social media channels. We usually brief them based on our internal brief, using customer feedback or research we’ve done directly with our customers.

What is the team composition?

We’re mainly in contact with Michael and David (Directors), but there are probably 6–7 people on the team.

How did you come to work with Expressway Studio?

I worked with Michael and David before across multiple brands.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started doing business with them in March 2021; our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have a longstanding agency agreement because the work is always top quality. Our Facebook ads receive more traffic than ever before. Also, we’ve seen an uplift in traffic and conversion to the Facebook ads when we use their animated videos.

Additionally, the new logos are a whole new channel for our customers — that’s something we wouldn’t have otherwise.

How did Expressway Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is fantastic. They have a timely approach; we get everything back on time. We use Dropbox to manage each job; we use the specific job numbers and folder structures they’ve provided. Otherwise, we communicate through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a can-do attitude. Whenever we have a creative opportunity, Expressway is where we go to get it actioned. Then, they come up with an outcome.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there isn’t anything.

Any advice for potential customers?

Consider outsourcing as an opportunity rather than an issue. Sometimes we have extensive costs because we provide those services in-house.
