I’m the general manager and co-owner at Alimentos DOO, and we have a food industry solutions platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with EXO Service Solutions?

We needed help with mobile app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

EXO Service Solutions helped us develop a multiplatform mobile app to address the problems of the meat industry, especially for the technical part of the process. They did both the front- and backend development using technologies like Java, MySQL, and most commercial languages. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with 3–5 members of their team, including one Android developer, one iOS developer, and their co-owner, who was always involved with the project manager and project lead.

How did you come to work with EXO Service Solutions?

A former colleague referred them to us. We had around three provider options after an interview with each of them, we decided that EXO Service Solutions was the best option, and we don’t regret choosing them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent €150,000 (approximately $158,000 USD) with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January 2017–January 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

From the first day of the app's launch, we had more than 100 downloads in our subscription-based model. Their team had full technical proficiency and know-how — it was the best experience I've ever had.

How did EXO Service Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time and within budget and were personable. Regarding communication, we used email and in-person meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They delivered great quality, and the owners had great character. Moreover, they were positive and problem-solving-oriented.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I told them I'd like it done in two months, but they told me three months was optimal, which made sense. So I don't think there's anything they could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don't hesitate to hire them because they're one of the most reliable companies.

I'm the founder of DreamSoft and DreamProperty. With DreamSoft, i'm offering development for the financial sector. Mobile applications and Internet platform for credits for the Polish market.

For what projects/services did your company hire EXO Service Solutions, and what were your goals?

I hired EXO for a service of the DreamBanking system which we've build. I needed a professional company that can follow us, integrate in the existing IT structure and give the supported needed. All the goals were met. We often had meetings and discusse about the goals and the ETA.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had interviewed a few IT companies. EXO had a good price and a required understanding and experience of the technology we used to build our product.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope was to develop some of the new functionalities which were then integrated in the existing system. They've build among the bugfixes of the existing system, a reporting tool which gave us a clear picture of the credits and the statistics needed to proceed. The GUI was given by them and the database structure also.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

there were 3 people working for me. There was the CoFounder, the Team leader and a Senior programmer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The bugfixes they've covered allowed us to serve more clients and have less of a downtime along with the errors in the credits. The tools they've developed for the statistics were shared with our network of agents which offered a great visibility on the products they were selling. We've decided to go forward with their team in developing other tools which the business required.

We communicated through skype. The tools they were using were the same as ours, meaning gitlab and other pipelines SW. The ETA were met. The once which weren't met were cause of realistic reasons. Added features after the sprint was started ecc.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Exactly as the default description. It was very easy to pass the communication and remove the barrier in the technical details language. We had access to the people who were actually developing the product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There is always a space for improve. I think we passed this along the way. Each time we were individuating a block, we were able to surpass it. I think that if we would work to another project, we would be finding new areas to improve, but nothing was a block to don't proceed. I think we had a great time together.

We're a financial institution serving micro, small and medium enterprises, as well as supporting family businesses in agriculture and the sectors of trade, services and production, as well as individuals working for a salary , pensioners and students. For individuals, we also offer savings products.

Kick off meeting to discuss goals and objectives. Than Exo team prepared informational word press page which we analysed and gave feedback for improvements.

Clients loved the new look and they can easily get the needed information.

We had regular meeting to discuss the process, they informed us about every step of the process in detailed way. We received detailed manual, coaching and technical support.

They had a professional approach to the working activities, flexibility, and technical solutions

There were minor bugs, that were solved in efficient manner.
