We needed help with UI/UX design and user testing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Excited provides us with Figma UI/UX designs for new features that we want to build into our customer-facing platform. For each feature, they create the flow to better understand the logistics and how users might go through our system when using that specific feature. Additionally, they create UI prototypes for user testing, and we iterate on those prototypes to provide them with feedback.

After refining the prototypes, Excited puts them in front of users to do formal user testing. During these tests, they see how the users use the feature and gather their feedback, which they later use to adjust the prototype and meet their needs. Finally, when we’re satisfied with the feature, they hand the designs over for us to build them into our platform.

In addition to UI/UX designs and user testing, Excited does some design work on our website, and they design PowerPoint decks and materials for our events.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Excited has been helpful in developing our platform, and my company is doing great so far, but I don’t have any metrics or statistics to prove the success of our engagement. Overall, they’ve exceeded our expectations.

How did Excited perform from a project management standpoint?

Excited’s project management is excellent; that’s one of the aspects I like the most about them. They’re great at managing deadlines and following through with the project. Besides Figma, we communicate via Slack and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Excited is very efficient, so project management is their strength. Additionally, their designs are impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have constructive feedback for them; they’re great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When you’re working with a remote designer, provide them with consistent feedback on time so that they keep the process rolling.

We hired them to help us in developing and designing our trading platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided Excited with all the documentation they needed in order to get started with the development of our trading platform. They’re continuing to build the entire architecture of the trading platform with me, which includes the onboarding of the different actors in the marketplace. 

Their work involves enabling artists, musicians, and collectors to register on the platform, and they ensure the onboarding of digital wallets and crypto payments. Excited is in charge of creating the platform’s UI/UX design, too. The platform will have a mobile and desktop version. They’ve also created the web design for an announcement page we published.

How did you come to work with Excited?

I went to Clutch and interviewed about six different companies. In the end, we decided to go with Excited because they were already familiar with what we were working on.

We began working with them in October 2021, and we continue to collaborate.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

So far, Excited has been doing a great job, and they’ve been able to execute all of the features we want. However, it’s still difficult to share metrics because the platform is still being developed.

How did Excited perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a good project management process, and they meet our deadlines. On top of that, they stay on budget. We mainly communicate through Slack and Figma. There’s good communication between me and their employees. Whenever I need something, they immediately respond, and they’re very agile in making small changes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re fast and focused.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. I’m happy with Excited’s work.

The quality of their people has been very impressive.

I’m the director of product at ClubReady, a full-service provider of boutique health club software solutions. We work on everything from point of sale to analytics to payroll.

What challenge were you trying to address with Excited?

Our software was very out-of-date, and we were looking for someone to help us modernize our UI/UX design. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, we familiarized Excited with our existing UI and reviewed our list of wants and desires that we collected over the years. We specified functionalities that we were looking for, and they came up with the designs. They also conducted user interviews to get feedback from our clients. 

After that, Excited created UX wireframe designs in Figma. They combined functionalities in different ways and simplified workflows. Their team conducted further rounds of user interviews for the new designs. They’ve done that several times for the design’s various iterations. 

The first thing we worked on was our scheduling module, which was used for scheduling classes, individual personal trainer sessions, and similar things. We also worked on our CRM system, which included consolidating text, email, and phone conversations. Additionally, they designed our drip campaigns.

Excited is providing maintenance to their designs. They’re implementing design changes as we receive internal feedback about our software.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve been getting positive feedback from our customer base — everyone has been excited about the new designs and like what they’re seeing. 

Excited’s designs are nice, clean, and innovative; they have modernized the interaction with the enduser. I’m 100% satisfied with their work, and they’ve exceeded expectations.

How did Excited perform from a project management standpoint?

Excited’s project management has been fantastic. They turn around designs fast and always meet their deadlines. We use Slack and Zoom to collaborate.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with Excited’s creativity in coming up with easy-to-follow, intuitive, and efficient designs. They’re good at sorting workflows and helping users focus on primary functions they need to perform on any given page.

Don’t be too proscriptive in what you want to design, and stick with your software’s purpose. Having Excited talk directly with customers is very effective.

I'm the CTO at Milk Stork, the first breast milk shipping company for business traveling breastfeeding moms.

We've recently launched a lot of new products to handle nuanced requirements. The purchase process for our users was becoming exponentially more complicated with each new product. We contracted with Excited! to help us design a better UI/UX.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched online and narrowed it down to 3 vendors. Excited! clearly had their stuff together (pricing, process, onboarding, etc.)

We provided Excited! with a background document (current site walkthrough, user stories, and challenges). Using that, plus their own analysis of our site, the Excited! team was able to create a first-pass design within a week. We provided feedback and settled on a final iteration in about a week.

We worked directly with the UI/UX designers and a Project Manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We're totally satisfied with the final designs and are currently implementing the changes on our site. All stakeholders at Milk Stork are super happy and can't wait for the designs to be live on our site.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had two Zoom touchpoints per week, a shared Slack channel, and shared feedback and results through Figma. This was a really good framework. We had a vehicle for real-time questions (Slack), those requiring more collaboration (Zoom), asynchronous feedback (Figma), and final decisions (Figma).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with how quickly they became steeped in our business challenges and how quickly they translated that into a design.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

This didn't negatively impact our project, but English is not the team's native language. Instead of using lorem ipsum text, they opted to keep text in context for us (which is the right approach). There were just more typos than typical. Again, this did not impact our project.

Their team conducted an intensive and thorough research on our product, region and competitors. This resulted in a great understanding and helped raise the bar in our ideation sessions. They prepared multiple relevant mood boards to help my team in the decision process. Each iteration and sprint was in accordance to our requirements and was following by a detailed and in depth review session.

I’m the lead UX designer for a SaaS company in the insurance technology market.

Excited works mainly as the UI/UX design arm of our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

In the beginning, Excited worked through design initiatives for our platform. At first, I simply observed their work for a couple of weeks. Then, I gave them guidance from a UX standpoint. For context, Excited was already working with our company when I came on board. As a result, they already had a regular cadence in terms of meetings with our CEO, who was the acting product owner and head of engineering. 

At present, they provide UI/UX designs, prototypes, and marketing illustrations for our company. We’ve recently finished a project with them, and we’re about to kick off another one soon.

We’ve worked with Oleksandr (Co-Founder & Design Director), who also serves as the project manager. We also initially worked with Andrii (Product Designer), but since our workload has become more complex, we’ve swapped Andrii out for Oleh (Product Designer).

We started working with them in April 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Excited’s turnaround times and deliverables have exceeded our expectations. For instance, when we expect them to spend 2–3 weeks on a task, they turn it around in 2–3 days. On top of that, the quality of their work is top-notch. In other words, they deliver quickly but not at the expense of quality. 

Moreover, their communication has been outstanding; we haven’t had to chase them on anything because they’re extremely communicative. Apart from that, I don’t have to teach or train them heavily. They know what they’re doing, and they take minimal guidance from our team to get them where they need to be in terms of deliverables. 

How did Excited perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve only started formalizing the project management process. Our team usually asks Excited about their progress through meetings, but we’ve started using Jira’s ticketing system to track the items they handle. So far, they’ve been extremely responsive to it. To communicate, we use phone calls, emails, and texts; we also have biweekly meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m personally impressed with their speed and quality of work. I’ve worked with a lot of other offshore agencies, and I’ve had the best experience with Excited. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. We’ve been working so seamlessly well with Excited. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust the partnership. Excited comes on board as a partner, and they treat you as if you’re their only client. That’s been our experience: we never feel like we’re fighting for their time and attention. They’ve been extremely attentive to the projects they’ve worked on with us.

I am the Senior Designer at BuildDirect, the first technology platform for the home improvement industry.

We wanted to improve our experience and add new features to our website to make things easier/more intuitive for the user and improve our conversion. We hired them to analyze our website, our data, propose new approaches, create a new design system and recreate ours flows, components and pages.

We searched online, asked for quotes and had video calls with more than 3 UX agencies.

Initially, we hired them to recreate key pages on our e-commerce. After receiving the deliverables at the end of that project, we decided to hire them on an ongoing basis to analyze the website properly, our data, propose new features, work on landing pages, emails, and recreate the whole experience.

Both people were easy to communicate with and proactive, even though we were in completely different time zones. We exchanged messages through slack + emails and got quick replies.

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Excited consulted with us about UI elements, asking questions to determine what was best. They came up with the full design and build of the website from start to finish. The website is built on Webflow. They also did some design improvements for our mobile app that was already built.

We worked with a UI designer, a website builder, and a product manager.

They were referred by my friend, and I had seen some of their work that I liked.

Our work spanned from March 2021 to May 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new website hasn’t launched yet, but, so far, everything looks good. I had others look at it and give feedback on the design; The feedback was positive. The website is easy to use, the look and feel are smooth, and it’s extremely fast and responsive. We have run SEO tests, and we’re pleased with the results.

They’re available and responsive despite the time difference. We had weekly meetings, with additional meetings as needed. We used Slack, as well as Zoom video calls. They were punctual for meetings, gave great updates, and completed work on time.

They deliver what they promise, which is rare compared to other providers I’ve experienced. They’re a great team that I would recommend to anyone. I plan to work with them again.
