We hired them for their branding services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

estudio/nk provided us with branding services. They were in charge of naming, branding strategy, logo creation, and storytelling. We initially had a design sprint session together, and they started working on the deliverables after that.

What was the team composition?

We worked with two people from their side: the owner and a project manager.

How did you come to work with estudio/nk?

They were recommended to us by a colleague who had worked with them in the past.

We spent about $15,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with estudio/nk from January–February 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

After one year, I can say that the name might not have been the best choice because it is too long and hard to pronounce, but we’ve received very positive feedback about our logo, specifically its color selection and overall look.

How did estudio/nk from a project management standpoint?

They did a good job from a project management standpoint. We planned to finish the project in about a month, and we did just that. Their process was also very well structured. For communication, we used Zoom, Miro, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed with their commitment to the project; they took full responsibility for the project as if they were a part of our company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything that estudio/nk could’ve improved on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would recommend you to work with estudio/nk. I also suggest you make sure that their CEO is involved in the project.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of /slantis. We team-up with AEC organizations to empower their built projects with cutting-edge BIM tech, so they succeed! In the US market, mainly California.

For what projects/services did your company hire estudio/nk?

Our website was outdated and was designed 4 years ago. We hire the nk team to develop our new website matching our new brand guidelines, we were aiming to have the website live by the end of Q3.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked for many website designers and found that nk had a lot of experience and image/culture alignment with the vibes that we wanted to transmit on our website.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

After a series of Discovery phases and meetings, we created a schedule and started working. During the middle of the process, we did a re-naming so we needed to adjust the website to match our new name and brand and the nk team rocked throughout the process.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

In total we worked with almost 7 people from the nk team. Between designers, software engineers and project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website really is adjusted to our brand guidelines, transmits our spirit as a brand and is very clear in communication.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow was very easy and fluent. we usually had a weekly meeting to review progress, then send a note via email to review what has being discussed and next steps. Finally for the informal type for communications, we used a Slack channel that worked really well for the back and forth.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Despite some differences that we encounter throughout the process, they were really professional in solving and pushing the project forward, so I would say their best asset is problem-solving capacity and their team's energy.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I believe they need to focus more on their details, when they deliver a progress sometimes it had minor details that could be caught very easily with a quality review prior to the delivery. Attention to detail is key on this types of projects (typos, alignments, etc.)

As we were approaching new challenges and a new vision, we needed a new brand and a new website. We felt like NK was the best one. They delivered the best proposal and process. We are more than happy with the selection.

We loved their past experience and portfolio. With their human approach, precise process and past awards the selection was easy.

We were facing new challenges and needed to change not just our core business, but also our brand. We rebranded the entire org and created a new website. The first phase was about delivering a first -smaller- version of the site; and we are now working on the extended and final digital experience.

I can not think of any. I fully recommend them.

Please describe your company and your position there.

IdeaRocket is a maker of videos for business. I am the Founder and Creative Director.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire estudio/nk?

We hired Estudio NK to design a new website,and also refresh our logo and brand identity, with new stationery, social media, proposal and other assets.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to project a more playful identity for our business. And since we are a creative services company, we wanted to do this with a creative excellence that would reflect well on our capabilities.

SOLUTION

How did you select estudio/nk?

Although we are headquartered in NYC, we have production facilities in Argentina, so we researched Buenos Aires web design studios so we could have in-person interaction between our design team and theirs. We looked at about 10 different portfolios, and Estudio NK was the best. They were the only people we talked to.

Describe the project in detail.

Estudio NK designed and developed the new site. They also created a new logo for us and went through some iterations on it. Finally, they created a new brandbook and a number of assets reflecting the new identity.

What was the team composition?

Vicky was the project coordinator and our point of contact. We also worked with Lucas, the company Founder, and Emiliano, the designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

No results yet, but we're very happy with the final product!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

There were no problems with communication or workflow.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their creative excellence is impressive. We are very hard to please, especially in regard to the logo update. Many different designers had previously tried to take that sword out of the stone; all had failed. We were very prepared to keep on using the old one, but the first thing they showed us opened our eyes and made us say: "That's it!"
