The most impressive and unique aspect of Engenious was their ability to combine lightning-fast execution with uncompromising quality, delivering a fully customized, high-performing website

Are there any areas for improvement or something Engenious could have done differently?

Offering a brief training session or a concise user guide for our team to manage minor content updates independently would have added value, given our team’s limited technical expertise.  Given our feedback this is something that I believe they will start doing going forward.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Task completion and quality - were tasks assigned to engineers completed successfully and within the estimated timeframe. Were there bugs shipped / created from the team's work
• Autonomy of execution - were engineers able to communicate with stakeholders independently to drive their work forward?

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

• Timely delivery - this has been mixed. One engineer has been great at ramping up their velocity and consistently can deliver on time, while the other often needs support to get things out. 
• Responding to needs - I think Engenious' account representatives have been great at anticipating and responding to the needs of the team. They have provided some valuable suggestions to improve processes and staffing. Additionally, they have shared feedback with the engi,neers on the team and created action items.

What was your primary form of communication with Engenious?

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think the account management has been very useful and attentive. The team is also able to source candidates and present resumes at a good velocity when we discussed expanding the scope or hiring a different contractor.

We were able to hire candidates quickly which got us out of a resource crunch, which was also great. Overall, engineers coming from Engenious have been decent, but have taken much longer to ramp up, and are much less proactive on task completion compared to FTEs we hired.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Engenious could have done differently?

I'd like to see how and where Engenious account rep and EM on their side have the right amount of context for tasks and can help manage performance of web developers on their end. When we've flagged this feedback they have been responsive, but I'd like to see more instances of proactivity here.

One great case of proactivity was suggesting hiring an SDET instead of the currently staffed SDE

Develop the Android application for our AI centered product. The key deliverable was the application. 
Since we are a very early stage starup, we have been itterating on the product in parallel, and building drastically different 3 versions of the product in the span og this collaboration. 
Inside of the application the users are able to communicate with the AI, using the microphone, and natural language in order to develop their Newsletter emails to send to their subscribers

Developed the app in a very short time frame
Pivoted 2 times in order to keep up with the company's product strategy
Understanding and integrations of more than 25 API endpoints into the project
Development of more than 15 screens in the project
Full development of the onboarding flow, and the main screens.
Full development of the profile page.
Incredible agility of the developers, and project managers.
Development speed, and brevity in meetings, and road map strategies.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Very quick delivery. We used Loom, Slack, and Google Meet ot sync-up and stay up-to-date and we dind't loose a single day in the miscommunication even with a 7-9 hour time zone differences. 
Visual road map, and clear targets for the week and the days helped a lot with keeping the whole team on the same page. Towards the end of the development getting daily/semi-daily builds to test was crucial!

Clarity of communication, the speed and adaptability to the ever changing startup requirements, and pro-activeness with the keen eye on design, and UX.

I think the Engenious team did incredible work with this project; I wouldn't change a thing!

I’m the CTO of Stella. We provide AI-powered services accessible via call or text on basic, non-smartphones, making advanced technology available to users of dumb phones.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire Engenious to accomplish for your AI-powered call and text services?

We needed help with QA for AI systems, and DevOps.

SOLUTION

Can you describe the scope of their involvement in this project?

Engenious provides two QA resources. One teammate sets up the PromptFoo testing, red teaming, and full end-to-end AI tests. He’s testing 15+ prompts in our system, full SMS end-to-end flows, scheduling, conversations, third-party messages, etc. The second teammate works with the Bluejay system to do the same types of tests for the voice-based part of the system through the calls.

Moreover, a DevOps engineer helps us set up full monitoring and alerting on the GCP and full Terraform to manage the entire GCP setup through the code.

What is the team composition?

We work with three teammates from Engenious and 11 intern students from Engenious AI University.

How did you come to work with Engenious?

Someone referred Engenious to me. They had high ratings, and their pricing fit our budget. They had a great culture fit and good value for the cost. Moreover, their company values aligned with ours.

What is the status of this engagement?

I've worked with Engenious since 2023. I would scale up and down with them based on the project needs. Our latest involvement started in November 2025, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Engenious’s work has improved our product’s quality, reduced the number of regressions in our deliverables, and increased our product’s growth and user satisfaction. We’ve gone from hundreds of daily active users to 4,000+ daily active users, and we’re still growing. We’ve launched dozens of high-stakes features, and the regressions haven’t gone up proportionally. This is incredible because it allows us to ship more and faster with less worry about the quality because we have automation.

How did Engenious perform from a project management standpoint?

Engenious is fully integrated with our team, so our processes are their processes. They deliver on time and above our expectations. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Engenious’s engineers are proactive in suggesting new products and approaches. They’re real experts in the domain and truly believe in the product. They work with us as if they were in the office as our full-time employees. They love what they do, are dedicated, and care deeply about the product’s success. Moreover, we’re a startup, and they understand the requirements and flexibility. They navigate our early-stage company chaos with perfection.

I'm the CTO of a music data analytics company. We use data to enhance a connection through music, focusing on music as a means of connection rather than just content.

What challenge were you trying to address with Engenious?

We needed help with iOS client work and metrics data hooks.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Engenious has delivered fundamental product features on our iOS client app, including main screens and deep functionality. The team has also set up software development lifecycle tools such as Jira and CI/CD. Additionally, we've used Engenious for administrative overhead management.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with six teammates from Engenious.

How did you come to work with Engenious?

We found them through referrals within my network. I chose them because they are very flexible and fast. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Engenious has helped us with launch readiness, and we're continuing to use the tools and systems they've implemented for tracking.

How did Engenious perform from a project management standpoint?

Engenious' project management is good, and they've delivered on time. To communicate, we use Igor (CEO) and talk directly with the engineers. They have a great rate with flexible payment options.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Engenious' flexibility is impressive. They have many resources that onboard and offboard as needed quickly. Igor makes it simple to provide a job description and have a quick pipeline of vetted individuals with a low rejection rate. Additionally, the team has found diverse candidates who can work during US hours.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there's nothing they need to improve.
