I’m the founder and CEO of an Israeli startup that provides a mobile wallet and payment platform to consumers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Empower Integrated Solutions?

The initial project I hired them for was to create the frontend and backend of the core platform for my service.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The platform allows consumers to manage payments and accounts through this platform and keep all their information in one place. They’ve incorporated a lot of different technologies in the project, including NodeJS. Everything is 100% serverless, and the frontend is done in Angular.

What is the team composition?

I worked with 6 developers on their side.

How did you come to work with Empower Integrated Solutions?

They responded to my post on Upwork, and after interviewing them I decided that they would be a good fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $80,000–$100,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in October 2018 and are continuing to work together full time.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I set up a quarterly, monthly, and weekly goal and I follow up with them on a daily basis to establish progress toward completion. Everything has been very positive so far, so I’d consider the partnership very successful.

How did Empower Integrated Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

I serve in the project management function for the project, so I set priorities and manage communication on my side, but they do a good job of staying on top of milestones that I set for them. I’ve visited their offices and am planning to do that again in the next few weeks, which I think has been beneficial to our communication as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been working with outsourced teams for more than 15 years, and the Empower Integrated Solutions team understand backend server list technology better than anyone else I’ve ever worked with. That is their biggest advantage.

They have a very strong work ethic and are very loyal. A lot of freelancers can execute or deliver, but they have a profound interest in the quality of what they deliver that really sets them apart.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I don’t think there’s anything I wish they did differently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Set clear expectations and monitor progress and achievements closely and you will have very good results.
