I am the founder of Trova, a startup dedicated to a new type of interactive guide to cultural cities.

For what projects/services did your company hire EM2, and what were your goals?

We hired EM2 to develop the app. Our goals were to create an app that was easy to navigate and friendly to use.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Through word of mouth, and then the deciding factors were excellent communication skills and total integrity: it was clear from the start that they were not interested in conning us into spending more money than was necessary. Unlike other companies we spoke to, they explained clearly the work that needed to be done and how much it would cost and did NOT try to take advantage of our lack of technical knowledge to hike up the price. A rare find.

We had a series of meetings to discuss our goals and objectives. We delivered wireframes as well as pdfs of the screen design. Within a few weeks they delivered the first version for us to approve. They were very attentive to our revisions and helped guide us into the new field of app design.

A project manager was my main point of contact initially then I increasingly communicated with the lead developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Not yet, we've just launched and our marketing strategy was significantly delayed. Feel free to contact me in 6 months.

The project manager was excellent to communicate with and I received frequent updates. Then I had direct email and online meetings with the lead developer and the project progressed quickly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

This was our first mobile app experience. They were patient, honest, and very helpful in explaining the different stages of app development.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No.

EM2 helped us to create web platform for two sided market (delivery). They did the whole development from the scratch which enable us to offer our service to the customers.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Initially we hired a team from Asia but unfortunately they didn't meet agreed requirements therefore we had to find another vendor. At that time friend of mine recommended EM2 as a professional team who strive to make all the customers happy, to do the extra mile even before the deadline. That sounded unreal to me but it turned out as a truth. EM2 has far exceeded my expectations.

I'm not very technical guy but I know that mostly they did the job using Java. As I said before, they developed whole platform from the scratch, backend and frontend.

So far the platform never crushed, everything works perfectly fine.

We had meetings every Thursday (ZOOM), they were always on time. I always hear that companies have problems with vendors due to deadlines but EM2 was always on time, some tasks have been completed even before the deadline. Regarding the tools, we have used Jira, Slack and Gitlab.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Communication was so smooth, really impressive. As I said earlier, the other thing is meeting the deadlines.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They were so professional and organized that I couldn't find any flaw.

I am pediatric nephrologist by training and the Founder of the bedwetting blog in Croatia.

For what projects/services did your company hire EM2, and what were your goals?

I wanted to create a standalone web application for online bladder diary. Bladder diaries are routinely used in clinical practice to diagnose and help guide lower urinary tract symptoms, such as bedwetting in children. Patients and parents are reporting data in the printout table and only skilled and trained personnel are able to interpret it correctly.

The goal was to create an application to easily record data using smartphone, tablet, or personal computer and to get generated report with automatic data interpretation. Users had to have the possibility to share the report with their practitioner for more successful and guided treatment. We decided to partner with EM2 to achieve this goal.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I contacted several app developers during my search and worked with two developers previously. Other vendors did not finished the product or produced the app which did not satisfy our users' needs. I have selected EM2 based on the recommendation from the colleague and the fact that I am actively using the medical app they developed for the ESPGHAN.

I needed the app that could be used on several platforms. At this point of development I needed a MVP. It had to allow different users to create profiles, enter data that had to be correctly labeled for the reliable interpretation. Spring Boot, Angular, and Postgres were used for the back-end, front-end, and database, respectively. App had to have option for easy implementation of different languages and easy translation.

My project started with a project manager (with whom I contacted), a graphic designer, and several backend developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

With the beta release I shared an app link with my professional colleagues. I received positive feedback on the App's performance and design as well as idea. The generated report and data interpretation was accurate. Several bugs and issues that ware not addressed before beta were promptly corrected. I am planning to move to public release in a month after beta release.

EM2 is well-organized and available for the discussion. Meet, whatsup, Trello for communication and project management. They were fast with initial start on the frontend development and design, and with backend finished, polishing was quick.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed with how they managed blockage and wrong turns in the app development. They were eager to correct, start new paths, employ additional resources. Whatever construct or idea I had, they were able to deliver it. EM2 was also shown to be creative and to propose better solution to my own ones. That was great.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Be clear when communicating ideas and development, especially if there are any issues - talk about it openly.
