What challenge were you trying to address with Eleken?

We needed to launch a new web-based portal to plan, manage, visualize, and report on our new methane emissions monitoring solutions and services for gas networks. 
The key goal was to develop a simplified and scalable UI of our API-first tech stack that could flexibly adapt to new technologies over time but retain simplicity in the information displayed and the flexibility to adapt to different customer workflows in a delightful UI that we could use to differentiate in the marketplace and drive customer adoption.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Eleken has designed a scalable and simple UI framework to display, filter, and update data seamlessly across maps (GIS), tables, and KPI reporting views. The team has delivered Figma end-to-end workflows, prototypes of key features, and Figma pages for each step of the process and key features and functionality, which have simplified development for our backend engineers and UI team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Eleken has delivered the core functionality for our web-based customer-facing portal and has used this as a foundation to secure new contracts. We're now building on this expanding functionality and growing the technologies and workflows that we enable in our portal. We've gone from 0 to 75 users across multiple enterprise customers in five months and secured five new contracts as a direct result of launching the portal.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Eleken generated artifacts that we’re using as the basis of UI enhancements, with a complete reimagining of screen layouts for our system. We’ve received positive user feedback from our internal pre-sales, sales, and marketing teams and from initial pilot clients seeing the new designs. Overall, the general feedback is that the screens are simplified and easier to follow, with an ease of discovery and faster problem-solving.

Eleken delivered on time, and every deliverable was on time and of very high quality. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

They provided uplift incredibly quickly. I didn’t expect us to achieve as much as we did in the four months we worked together.

Eleken was supposed to give us a UI/UX audit and propose a new direction for our platform. This included deliverables like a design system and more. The audit focused on identifying pain and friction points, areas for improvement, iconography, fonts, and more.

We found Eleken through a referral from an industry peer. The team was very clear about the challenges we had as a company. They also invested in a trial project with us, and that project later became a reality.
