I'm the owner this company and we provide IT consulting services and also customised solutions to customers

For what projects/services did your company hire Ecompile, and what were your goals?

My client wanted a highly customised solution that covers both web and mobile app. The real challenge was coming up with a real time monitoring solution that is cannot be manipulated by users of the system. It has to be robust, scalable and easily customised for future enhancements

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Ecompile had a good case study of previous projects and they are well versed in both web and mobile app development. We wanted to select a vendor that is able to do both for ease of communication and maintenance in the future

They came up with detailed user requirements, used the agile methodology and delivered modules using sprints. Use of sprints are preferred as any iterations can be made easily, within a short time of period. Technologies used includes PHP, HTML, JavaScript, Laravel, MySQL

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were 4 people in the team. One project manager who was also the overall team lead, a UI/UX person and 2 other developers

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are able to complete the project based on the users requirement with minimal change request.

Project management style are very open. I communicate regularly with the Project Manager via Google Meet, Telegram and through emails

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were accommodating to changes within the project requirements without additional cost. Flexible in timeline and Easy to communicate.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Project documentation was a little bit brief. Probably need to be more detail in the future

Our company launched one year and wish to have a portfolio website that represents our company so we engage Ecompile to create a website for us.

How did you select Ecompile and what were the deciding factors?

We choose vendor base on the communication and whether IT understand the design and of course, the problem we faced with other IT person as well.

They start with understanding our needs and requirement, showing references and suggestions to achieve the website we want, then issue invoices. After, they will start develop and come back and forth for few times to get things done. They are willing to change until it become perfect.

There were 2 people, a developer, and a project manager.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website is our name card and first impression, it allows our client to understand what we do more with proof. Clients are willing and more confident to work more with us now.

The way they manage the project is very flexible and willing to follow the client's needs in communication tools. Everything is clear with email and very responsive whenever we have questions. Overall is pretty good for the experience.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The way they suggested different solutions was impressive, and the team worked and solved our problems together. Another is how willing they are able to amend and change for their client. No limit revision for that.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think overall is fine, doesn't see much to improve, if have to say one, wonder can the project be done in a shorter timeframe, though I know every client wishes to be fast. Another is if could add on the timeline in visual form and explain each stages can improve the expectation for client.

Started as a simple revamp but COVID-19 hit and we quickly pivoted to an e-com platform.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Launched the website in Q2 of 2020 (right smack in the midst of a pandemic) and managed to position the company as an e-com platform for new products and offerings as we were essentially focused on building materials and construction which was on a standstill back then.

We were all new to Zoom calls and giving directions as well as receiving at that time and the team were receptive and understanding.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their customer service was outstanding!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was the issue of installing a payment portal as none of us could travel at that time to retrieve the necessary physical assets such as company stamp, etc. Would have made the buyer's journey more seamless but we did what we could do under the circumstances.
