Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder of a mobile nonprofit. We specialize in taking pantry events and different services to locations in our city such as the parks and neighborhoods.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with E-Commony LLC?

We launched a new project where we were going to be working with a healthcare provider in trying to tackle food insecurity and using food as medicine. As a result, we developed a locker system that would have prescribed food bags inside, and we hired E-Commony LLC to create the software to run our locker program.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had an initial meeting about the project before the E-Commony LLC team started building our platform from scratch. One of our engineers in the company is closely working with them in launching the software.

What is the team composition?

We’re working with their owner.

How did you come to work with E-Commony LLC?

They were suggested to us by one of our lead engineers in the project. He just happened to know the team and after our initial consultation, they seemed like a really good fit for the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $10,000, but as move into the next tier, we’ll probably spend another $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in November 2021, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t fully launched the software yet so we don’t have any real data about the project. However, we’ve seen the software and it looks like it’s going to function great. They’ve also been hands-on and helpful in debugging issues as we go along.

How did E-Commony LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re great to work with, and they’re flexible, which makes things run a little smoother for us. We’ve had a rough timeline in the beginning, and they’ve worked through all of that. We communicate through phone calls, email, Zoom, and text messages.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very quick to explain things we don’t understand, and they care about our project just as much as we do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Our work relationship has been great although there’s a bit of a learning curve along the way. They’ve expressed some concerns, but with our constant communication, we’ve been making things work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go into the project and know specifically what you’re looking for. Be ready to have conversations with E-Commony LLC because they’re very open with what they can do. In addition, be open to their advice.

For what projects/services did your company hire E-Commony LLC?

We need to salvage our database, after our server crashed, upgrade to a new version the sod our medical records program software.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Their understanding of how to implement OpenEMR on docker to reduce the size of data backups.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We have been using OpenEMR for about 10 years and needed to upgrade to a newer version when our servers crashed. In addition to that we were having to backup entire virtual machines. Which over the years had become massive.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I spoke to one person who handled the entire implementation. Working with me to on a timely manner to get our billing

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They saved our office by getting us up and running in a span of only a few days. I don’t know how I could have managed this without their help.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Everything ran smoothly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with how fast they came up with a solution and their understanding of deploying our servers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Just keep up with the good work.
