Introduce your business and what you do there.

My wife and I are co-owners of a corporation that provides developmental therapy for kids from birth to three years old. We mainly work with around 25 independent contractors.

What challenge were you trying to address with Dusseau and Company?

We contracted Dusseau for a custom piece of software that our therapists could access on the web and by phone. For context, another company built the software, but they no longer wanted to service it. As a result, Dusseau came in and started servicing the app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dusseau helps us when we make changes to our software. We work with the State of Illinois, and we have to follow regulatory rules that sometimes require us to make changes to our app. Our team also gets constant emails from AWS and Vonage; when they make changes to their systems, we also have to make changes to our app — Dusseau helps us with this. 

Moreover, we also need the team to handle any future development on the app when we introduce new features to it. So far, we’ve done some relatively small projects where we fix issues on the platform.

I work directly with Mark (Senior Technical Product Manager). An engineer also works with us.

I found them through Thumbtack, a professional services website. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $2,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Everything has been good; when I tell Dusseau to fix something, they fix it. We haven’t done anything so big that we need milestones or other success metrics. 

How did Dusseau and Company perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through the phone or Slack. Dusseau also has a ticketing system, where I can submit tickets when I need them to address issues. Simply put, we get in touch in several ways.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Dusseau is highly responsive. We can reach out to them easily. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any.

Know what you want, and communicate it with Dusseau.

Terrible management. Seems to just hire freelancers and no real oversight of the product

I hired Dusseau and company to build out a mobile application to help user find people to wager money to play against people in video. The idea was that as a third party we provide user a person to play against in a wide variety of games to compete in

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We decided to choose them just due to the fact they understand the vision we wanted to create. The vision we wanted came to life and we realized that we should create a partnership to continue this relationship.

We had a series of different meeting discover how we can tackle this project. We took a standard approach from logos wireframes beta to full version.

Mark provide multiple resources such as marketing logo and color scheme to fit the project

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was completed in the standard three months but we developed a partnership that would always provide upgrades.

The project manager was easy to work with he approached the project with an agile approach. His approach allowed all parties to give their point of view to have something successful.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their mobile application skills were second to none. They were so hands-on and explained every step of each project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I believe they are a first class organization that more people should use when need app development.
