BACKGROUND

Please describe your organization.

It’s a German company that coats adhesives onto paper. Within the company is an organization that is a network of printers from around the world.

What is your role and responsibilities?

I’m the manager of the network of printers and a marketing consultant on behalf of the company.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What was your goal for working with DRC Infotech?

We wanted to establish a Web shop program to be used by the members of the club to sell printed promotional products in their local markets. It was an e-commerce development project.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their work.

They designed the website with some guidelines from us. They created the proposal and the structure of the Web shop. They didn’t train users per se, but they were a great help in guiding me through the whole project. The platform used was Magento.

What was your process for selecting DRC Infotech with which to work?

We were engaged with another e-commerce consultant and he found them and recommended them. I was not involved in any selection process. We took the recommendation of the external consultant. 

Can you give a sense of the size of the initiative in dollar terms or a personnel work-hour figure?

[It was between] $10,000 and $50,000

When was the work completed?

DRC’s work is completed as far as creating a Web shop platform, which can then be customized to each member’s requirement and loaded with their data. That was completed more than 12 months ago. We are still waiting for some of the members to complete their input. DRC will still have work to do when that information is ready. The members need to input product information, pricing information, customer data, and those sorts of things.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Do you have any statistics or metrics to track improvement from the project?

I don’t have any stats because it’s still too early. 

Are you satisfied with their performance?

I’m very satisfied. The Web shop functions as it should. 

Is there anything unique or special about DRC Infotech that really makes them stand out compared to other online marketing companies?

I think what’s most impressive about them is their ability to manage and guide the process and also be very receptive to any changes or developments that were required along the way. I don’t have a lot of experience with other companies, but I have a lot of praise for the work they did and the way they go about their business.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

I really can’t think of anything. That’s unusual for me.
