I'm the owner of a wellness center specializing in therapeutic massage and yoga.

DK Webdesign built us a beautiful custom website. They did a lot of work with us to optimize our SEO, host our site, and do regular maintenance to ensure that our site is accessible, adaptable, and accurate.

How did you select DK Web Design and what were the deciding factors?

I was able to develop a professional relationship with Danielle Vogel the owner of DK Web Design in a network marketing group. I was very impressed by the quality of their work, the adaptability of their sites from desktop to tablet to smartphone, as well as their dedication to ensuring that clients retain ownership of their website's content.

DK Web Design built my website from the ground up. They gave me guidance and feedback on how many pages I needed as well as content for each page, developed a consistent color and font scheme that worked well with my branding, and launched the website for me.

They also host my website, maintain my security certificate, and make updates to my site as needed.

How many people from the DK Web Design team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I communicate primarily with Danielle the owner or Reya the social media manager. However, Danielle's full team work on my site.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website that Danielle built for me sees consistent traffic from google searches, linked social media accounts, and directions from my outgoing voicemail greeting. It provides clear information on my team, my services, my pricing, and my scheduling allowing people to book themselves.

Online booking accounts for approximately 30% of my business each month.

During an initial set up DK Web Design does an initial consult to determine what the client's needs are, a site map is developed and content is reviewed and plugged in as it's ready, drafts are delivered, reviewed and approved via email. Once a site is launched updates can be delivered via email.

The timeline for site development and launch will depend on the size of the site and the number of rounds of edits necessary to meet the client's specifications. Updates, depending on the scope, are delivered typically within a few workdays, sometimes same day.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They ensure that the client maintains the copy-write on site content and images. They also went above and beyond to notify me when ADA compliance for websites was updated a few years ago and proactively flagged any issues with my site and sent me suggested fixes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have been over the moon about my experience with DK Web Design. I wouldn't trade them for anyone.

I own a holistic nutrition business that focuses on helping people resolve their anxiety naturally. My title is Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (FNTP) but because that's a mouthful I tell people I'm a "nutrition coach."

I had just opened my business and needed an attractive, but small, website to have a "home" on the internet and to establish myself as a legitimate business. Additionally, I needed SEO help so when people searched for nutrition or anxiety help, I would come up first! I also needed a website that could be built out as my business grew, with optional add-ons for blogs, Instagram feeds, etc.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I chose DK Web Design because their work is top-notch, pricing is transparent, and they did not try to sell me something I didn't want. Instead, they worked WITH me to come up a website that would match the feel I wanted. Additionally, they helped me with a new-business-owner-checklist because those things are a bit overwhelming!!

First, we sat down and brainstormed what I wanted out of my website, what the purpose of it was going to be, and what my hopes were. Then, I described how I wanted it to "feel." The owner helped me decide on details, and then presented me with an estimate and timeline for project. After agreeing, I was given a list of things to gather: content for the website, photos, etc. After all that was turned in, they went to work building my website. I had an opportunity to make last minute adjustments and finalize it before it launched.

A year later, it was time to revamp the website with updated photos, new text, and a more specific call-to-action (a scheduling button and Instagram Feed). Again, we met to talk about details, estimate was presented, and once all my information was organized and turned in, they went to work. I was given an opportunity to make last minute adjustments before everything went live. Future plans include a blog, newsletter, and built out services/sales page which I'm sure will be set up similarly.

I only worked with Danielle, the owner.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

My website is beautiful, functional, and I get compliments all the time how pretty it is. The scheduling button is right there on the home screen and is really easy to use.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was really easy to communicate with DK Web Design. Emails and questions were answered timely, and it was really easy to make an appointment using the scheduling link on their website.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

It is really unique to find a company that only bills you actual time spent working on the project. If they estimate 20 hours but only spend 18 hours and 37 minutes, you only get billed for 18 hours and 37 minutes. That's pretty rare! Additionally, I really enjoyed that nobody tried to upsell me or give me something I didn't want. The website I received is exactly the website I wanted! The owner is really funny — smart and solution-oriented, but incredibly fun to talk to!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I can think of is maybe looking into some sort of Client Management Portal where I can upload all my documents into instead of using email or google drive. That could be really great!

We originally had our website created by another company but Danielle at DK web design really listened to what I was wanting and made the edits very quickly.

She sat down with me to find out exactly what I needed for my website. She also checked with me regarding additional edits that she thought would be a great addition to the website as well. I really appreciated her feedback!

Danielle updated our WordPress site and edited the employee bios and various pages on our web page.

I do not have any information regarding measurable outcomes at this time.

Danielle had very timely communication and completed edits in a very quick manner while still providing excellent quality of work.

DK Web Design offers a variety of packages that I am currently looking into purchasing. I really like that they offer a variety of services.

None that I can think of.
