We already had an active Google Ads campaign, so we did not need to start a new one from scratch. We turned over control of that account to Disruptive Advertising. They took the pre-existing content and revised it to be more effective. Their team also shuttered the numerous websites we used to split-test the incoming new clients. They replaced them with their own, more elegant system that could distinguish better which ads were working and which were not.

Can you share any statistics or metrics that speak to the quality of their work and the impact of the engagement?

We have calculated that we receive between $15,000–$25,000 in retainer deposits from new clients as a result of Disruptive Advertising’s efforts.

How did Disruptive Advertising perform from a project management standpoint?

There were some growing pains as our teams got used to each other, but we’ve sorted those out. They are responsive, polite, and prompt. Whenever we encounter issues, they are quick to resolve them. They are transparent in their abilities, and they do not try to manipulate our expectations.

What impresses you about Disruptive Advertising?

They are strong when it comes to the most important aspects of digital and online marketing, which, to me, are client communications and responsiveness. I rarely have to wait very long for them to respond to a question. They provide incredibly detailed reports that they keep for our campaigns so that we are always in the know.

They are also a good value. Though they are managing a $12,000–$15,000 marketing budget, they cost a fraction of that.

Their organization sets them apart. Before each call, Ashlynn creates an agenda of what we're going to cover so we know what to expect. She also follows up with a recap after each call. She lets us know what she’s working on and will have an answer to our questions by the following week.

I’m the marketing director for Coleman and Company, a company that sells custom apparel equipment to new and existing businesses. We mainly provide digital T-shirt printing equipment and accessories so that companies can create their own branded merchandise.

What challenge were you trying to address with Disruptive Advertising?

We wanted to reach potential customers through Google products, such as Ads and Shopping. We wanted an expert partner to help us launch successfully.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked together to create a mixture of propositions, with the initial idea being to get the products from our e-commerce site onto Google Shopping and Google Ads. Disruptive Advertising outlined how to properly and effectively do that, including compliance with Google’s requests, summarizing the cost, and segmenting the products. We work with their conversion rate optimization team, which does live tests, creates artwork, and make structural changes on the website. Once they finish, our internal dev team takes the final products live.

Another division of our company worked with them first. We had looked into a few other providers, but Disruptive Advertising was educated and knowledgeable, so we hired them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They helped us develop a fairly complex equation for our ad optimizations. We have metrics to track phone calls, live chats, and emails, which we use to make more informed decisions. This has resulted in increased lead generation, conversions, and exposure in the marketplace.

They have great project management and are easy to work with.

My company’s website benefits from a healthy amount of traffic, but we were looking for assistance in improving our conversion ratio.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Once we agreed to terms, we discussed our Google Analytics and our Hotjar data to determine a baseline for our metrics. We rely on Disruptive Advertising to fine-tune elements of our website so that we capture more of that traffic—this includes creating landing pages and conducting A/B testing of colors, texts, and documents. They also have a staffer that manages our PPC campaigns. We’re very involved in their efforts, but we trust them to take the lead on a wide range of tasks.

We found them through a Google search. We selected them once it was clear that they were not a small company. We hoped to work with somebody established that had the resources we were looking for.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Disruptive Advertising has lowered our CPL through PPC campaigns. They’ve made a significant increase in the number of conversions we’re seeing. A half a percentage point may not sound like a lot, but given our traffic, that translates to a substantial amount.

How did Disruptive Advertising perform from a project management standpoint?

We have weekly conference calls, and they provide us with all of the necessary information in Google Data Studio. For the A/B testing, they send the iterations ahead of time in a mockup style so that we can review them before they go live.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They feature the ideal combination of soft skills and research-backed strategies.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It was difficult at first to see a history of our conversion rate testing. We used to receive reports of tests in emails, but sometimes those get buried and lost after you read them once. They have since created a shared Google file where all of that information can be monitored.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They are worthy of a phone call because they have a low-pressure sales staff. If and when you do enter into an agreement with them, it’s important to consider the amount of money you’re spending to generate leads. If Disruptive Advertising can make those costs lower over the course of the year, it might be worth it to consider them as a viable long-term option. They’re not inexpensive, but they’re worth it.

I’m not a PPC expert, so their bite-sized reports have been exceptionally helpful. Presenting complex metrics in a digestible format helps improve our understanding of their efforts.
