Disruptive Advertising helps us with our overall digital strategy. Their services include managing social media content, creating and managing Google Ads, developing and managing marketing plans, and creating marketing strategies. They’ve also done competitor research and identified different keywords to use in our campaigns. Additionally, they’ve identified areas of improvement in our website not only to attract more customers but to keep them on our site longer.
The platforms that Disruptive Advertising manages for us include our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. They also handle our Google My Business and Google Ads accounts. The content they launch is both paid and organic, including blogs with different topics to leverage, which they then use to create infographics and other collateral.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with around five people from Disruptive Advertising. Whenever I need to add something new to our efforts, they bring in a specialist in that area; they have specialists for everything.

I found them on Google. After that, I researched them, vetted them, and called some references who had worked with them. Ultimately, we decided to move forward with them.

After launching our first Google Ads campaigns, we immediately saw a 40% increase in the type of leads we wanted, including demo and mystery shop requests. We were able to convert at our normal conversion rate, which was very strong by itself. In other words, they added top-quality opportunities to our top-more funnel without compromising our conversions. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed.

The primary objective was to take an existing set of campaigns on google ads and increase profitability / reduce marketing cost. Secondarily we wanted to start advertising many new brands that were not already being advertised.

The project was managed by a communicative project manager; however, very little actual work was done. The proof was in the changelog, where almost no changes were made by their team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
High ratings on clutch.co and they also told us they managed a similar large company in a different country but we now suspect this was misleading if not outright lying.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Disruptive Advertising could have done differently?
Where do I begin. In short, Disruptive did not deliver. I suspect most of their high ratings are for small companies with small budgets because they went backward with our 6 figure marketing budget and really had no idea how to produce positive results. Our marketing costs went up, not down.
We kept telling them we wanted to expand our marketing to new brands that we brought on, but they never did until the very end, launching a campaign that burned money with no results. We invested hundreds of thousands into new brands and barely sold them because they simply refused to start new campaigns. That inventory sat collecting dust.
To add insult to injury, after they failed to deliver the project, they charged us exorbitant termination fees even without doing any work. For example, we were charged for August, and they literally didn't even have access to our system anymore. They did NOTHING and charged us 5 figure termination fees.
The most concerning was after removing them, we immediately improved by doing it in-house within a week and have continually improved every week thereafter. Our revenues are way up, our costs are down, and we're selling new brands.
We have not looked back. I do not recommend Disruptive if you have 6 figure budgets; they will burn money.

Thanks for your feedback. While it’s unfortunate that things didn’t go as expected, we need to follow our processes, especially with on and off-boarding clients as that allows us to provide the best offer to new and existing clients. That said, we understand that not every partnership works out.
We’re sorry to hear that you feel there was a disconnect, especially around the campaign execution and billing, but we followed the terms of the agreement, and any fees charged were in line with that. We tried to be as clear as possible in both the onboarding and off-boarding process around this. We’d be happy to review the specifics if needed.

Disruptive has been a partner of Northpass for around three years now. We initially sought out an agency that would scale our PPC ads, but we received so much more. Disruptive not only scaled our PPC but helped us create a full digital strategy which we relied on heavily.

Disruptive can adapt. This is indeed what was most impressive about them. Too many agencies will run the same playbook over and over again and expect the same results. With Disruptive, they could pivot strategies quickly and make adjustments that fit our business model.
We are a SaaS business, so the market was much different in 2021 than in 2023. This required a significant adjustment to our company GTM strategy, and Disruptive Advertising was right alongside us, making changes that met the economy's demands.

When we first started, we had 2-3 people on our account, but our main account manager was pretty disconnected and it wasn't a great fit, produced little results. She either left the company or was let go, and we were assigned Blake and Adnan to our account, and the results started to drastically change! We rely heavily on Paid Search for our leads, and the results really started to blow us away.
Blake and Adnan are always willing to meet on short notice, to send over quick updates jump on a call in between our weekly schedule meetings. We had monthly goals that were tracked daily, and progress is discussed on weekly calls. We're very happy with Disruptive, but especially with Blake and Adnan! We just started using them for email services. We haven't had enough time to produce results yet, and it is taking a bit to get set up, but we're hopeful for similar results.

They seemed to really know what they're doing, but so does everyone on the first call. But they actually produced the results we wanted to see. There's even potential for us to do more as we want to add budget, and that prospect is exciting.

The only complaints we had early on were resolved with a new project manager. It feels like new projects take longer than they should to get off the ground which can be frustrating, but it's usually worth the wait.

Most agencies that I reached out to sold themselves hard. Disruptive said we'll see if we're a good fit for each other and we'll proceed if it makes sense for us to work together. Ten months after working together, we attended the largest construction tradeshow in North America for the first time.
Over 10% of the people that we talked to commented that they were seeing our ads on Facebook and Instagram. It was awesome to hear that because feedback like that doesn't show up on the ROAS reports!
