I’m a graphic designer for an assisted living facility.

What challenge were you trying to address with OnlineVisual?

We needed help with website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

OnlineVisual designed and developed four websites for us from scratch, and also helped with our Facebook advertising. We had multiple locations for our elderly homes, and they put them online to help people find us through Google and other search engines. I also helped them with the design of the website, but they gave us suggestions that were really helpful. They used WordPress so that we could easily update pages and add photos. Apart from that, they also added forms, a brochure, and reviews from people.

Moreover, they help us with Facebook ads for jobs, and also to get the word out to let people know we’re there — I’m the one who responds to comments. The sites are still going strong, but they continue to help us to this day.

How did you come to work with OnlineVisual?

My supervisor put an ad online and they responded.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2017, and the partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

People find it really easy to navigate through the website. They really helped us rank higher in the search engines, which resulted in more people finding us, and more elderly living in our homes — we actually just opened a new location in January. In addition, OnlineVisual helped us get from zero followers to 400–500, as we continue to grow our social media presence.

How did OnlineVisual perform from a project management standpoint?

Initially, when we were working on the website, we were in contact every day — nowadays, we’re only in contact about once a week. OnlineVisual is good at project management. They stick to deadlines and if it’s not possible to accomplish on time, they’ll call us to apologize for the delay. We typically use WhatsApp, phone calls, and emails to communicate, and sometimes we use Microsoft Teams as a substitute for in-person meetings. We can’t do those now due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re really fun to work with. They like to joke, but they do take their work seriously. They don’t have to, but they suggest good ideas to us — we’ve established a good connection and it’s nice that they think with us. It’s a good connection. They suggest good ideas to us. When we started, they were really young. After years, they’ve grown, got more confident, and know more about what they’re doing than before.

Write down what you really want. Have a good conversation with them — always ask them for ideas.

I'm the supervisor of the marketing of an employment agency called Career Rebels.

What challenge were you trying to address with OnlineVisual?

We had some problems with our previous web development agency, so we started looking for a new one. Our goal was to attract more people to the job listings on the site and give them more information about our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

OnlineVisual has changed a lot of things on our website to make it faster and maximize its potential. They’re building it on React, with a WordPress backend. They’ve also taken over the hosting of the website and continue to make improvements to it every month.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with two people from their team. Gino (Co-Founder) is our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with OnlineVisual?

I found OnlineVisual through Google, searching for local companies. I thought it was also important to meet face to face, aside from phone calls and online communication.

Our vision and plans must align with the capabilities of the company we’re looking to collaborate with. I explained how the site should work and what I wanted to see improved. I talked to one of their owners and found that we had a similar vision on how the website should work.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around €20,000 (approximately $24,400 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with OnlineVisual in May 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We can see the advantages of improving the website. We now have more visitors, and the loading speed has increased since OnlineVisual took over hosting.

How did OnlineVisual perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through Slack and discuss urgent matters over the phone. We talk about things until we’re on the same page. If they don’t agree with something, they let me know so that we can come up with a better solution. Additionally, they have our company in mind, which I’m always looking for in a collaboration. If there’s a problem, they fix it immediately.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They deliver what they promise.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re a small team. Whenever I can’t contact my main person, I go for the second in charge. However, this person may not know the ins and outs of the project, so it’d be nice if everyone involved knew the ins and outs.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Working with OnlineVisual was a smart decision. They care about our business and how our ideas could improve. They’ve become our colleagues, instead of just doing what they’re told.

I’m a co-owner of a small independent training organization. I work with hospitals and training organizations, and I design and develop training programs and their materials.

What challenge were you trying to address with OnlineVisual?

We were trying to address two challenges. The first one was to start a website that would serve as the face of our company because my partner and I lacked the expertise. The second challenge was to help us with a starting company that sells online courses.

What was the scope of their involvement?

OnlineVisual has developed our website and online learning platform based on example sites they’ve shown us. We had an initial discussion where their team asked clarifying questions about what would fit us the best. It was something completely new, and we didn’t fully know what we wanted and what was possible.

They consulted with us on writing the content, so we’re responsible for that. We also work together to review the website and make adjustments. I don’t know what technology was used, but we can make edits to the website ourselves.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with four people from OnlineVisual, including Aron (Co-Founder) and Gino (Co-Founder). They had the first consultation with us, and they’re managing the project. Gino has more experience in the technical part, and Aron handles design.

I heard about OnlineVisual through a colleague. I liked the portfolio on their website, and I called them. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on the first website in February 2019 and the learning platform in January 2021. We have an ongoing partnership with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure the website through Google Analytics, and we’re getting a lot of leads. I launched the website when I formed the company, and I got job opportunities through it from the beginning. On the other hand, I can’t provide any metrics for the online courses platform because we’ve just started it.

I’m really happy to work with OnlineVisual. They have all the expertise in one place; Aron and Gino are complementary to each other.

How did OnlineVisual perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, OnlineVisual performed well. We don’t have strict deadlines, but we make milestones for the website content, especially for ourselves.

Communication has always been one-to-one. We have phone calls and Zoom meetings. I also sometimes visit them, but most of the work is online because of COVID-19. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The combination between their design and technical skills impresses me. OnlineVisual always consider all the possibilities and there was never a time when they couldn’t do something. In case they can’t do it, they’ll connect me with someone that can.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could show off their expertise more. I wasn’t aware of everything that OnlineVisual could do. I didn’t know they could develop learning platforms; this came about just through a consultation.

Any advice for potential customers?

Clients should ask OnlineVisual about what they can do. They’re modest about their capabilities. I started with them by developing my website, and we’re developing a learning platform two years later.
