Located in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Costa Sur Resort is an upscale beachfront destination that has been a cherished retreat since 1983. Known for its stunning ocean views, elegant and locally inspired amenities, and exceptional service, it has long attracted vacationers from across the globe.
 
About the ProjectSonesta turned to us with an exciting vision: to honor Costa Sur Resort’s brand change with a fresh, bilingual digital experience in both English and Spanish. Their goals were to update the outdated UX and UI to better reflect the resort’s upscale positioning and to enhance user engagement on the site.
 
The ChallengesThe project presented three main challenges that required careful navigation on our end:

Tight Deadline: We faced the challenge of building the entire website from the ground up within a tight timeframe of under a month, a task that typically spans around three months.
Balancing Visual Identities: Another challenge was finding the right balance between Costa Sur Resort’s established visual identity and Sonesta’s recognizable brand elements. We worked to create a design that maintained the resort’s unique character while integrating Sonesta’s brand seamlessly.
A Seamless Bilingual Experience: From bilingual features to copy translations and specific booking engine integrations, we had to ensure that the website would provide a superior experience to global and Mexican users alike.

 
The OutcomeWe delivered the Costa Sur Resort, Classico Collection by Sonesta website on schedule, and our client was thrilled with both the outcome and the process.

Dominating the digital classroom, discover how we transform this Mathnasium multi-center owner’s solid local presence into top-of-pack performance, scaling from 3 to 18 centers under SEO management and achieving first-position visibility across neighborhoods nationwide.
 
The Challenge: Competing for Visibility Inside & OutDespite being well-established in their communities, many of our client’s centers struggled to attract organic visitors—ranking as low as 6th or 7th for high-intent searches like “math tutors” and “math tutoring” in their immediate areas, like in the case of this center that we’ll name Center FE:
This meant potential students (and parents) were discovering competitors first, resulting in missed opportunities for enrollments.
A closer audit revealed key weaknesses across two major areas: Google Business Profiles (GBPs) and center-specific web pages.
 
The Results: From Local Presence to Local DominanceComparing Q1 2025 to Q1 2024, all 18 Mathnasium centers experienced significant growth in search exposure and engagement, solidifying their place at the top of both the Google Pack (Maps) and organic SERPs.

Impressions increased by 183.7%: A surge in visibility—this metric reflects how often the centers appeared in relevant searches. It’s a clear indicator that our keyword strategy, content, and citation work dramatically expanded their local footprint.
Clicks increased by 76.6%: This uptick means more users not only saw the centers in search results but were compelled to click through—a strong sign that our optimizations were aligned with searcher intent and local demand.

At the individual center level, performance has surged. Every location now occupies the top spot for its primary target keywords in its immediate service area—a major win for driving enrollments and inquiries.
A standout example: Center FE improved its average ranking from 6.4 to 1.7, moving from solid visibility to clear category leadership within its neighborhood.
