I am the Managing Director of Breakout Media. We are a Digital Marketing agency specialising in SEO, Google Ads and Social Media Campaigns

Our website was old and outdated and not reflective of who we are as a company at all. We hired the Digital Gene to refresh our brand and create a new website that reflects exactly who we are and what we can do.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We already had a good relationship with the Sharon from the Digital Gene as we had worked on a few projects for them in the past. What was really important to us was to feel like they "got us" and knew where we wanted to go as a company and that gave us the confidence to choose them to build a site and design a brand that reflected that.

We had numerous chats with Sharon to begin with to share where we wanted to be. It started with a redesign of our logo for us to sign off on and that then turned into a full brand guidelines. From there they created a couple of example homepages for us to choos our favourite and once we had chose that the site build started from there.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked directly with Sharon throughout the project but also liaised with the developer Gary on technical matters closer to the launch of the new site

We get constant compliments on the new website and the rebrand and we couldn't be happier.

The communication throughout the whole project was accessible.

We engaged Digital Gene to create a web app that does the following

1. Allows users to post their add or view an existing add depending on their credentials
2. Complete various searches using an API of a 3rd party website
3. Give us the permission to manage the web app content as we see fit

From the initial engagement and walkthrough with Sharon to understand our requirements through to the actual build/testing with Gary, I was quite impressed

I think every client would always want more regular updates which sometimes may not be feasible but where possible, it does quite a lot to calm a client’s nerves. One of the things Gary did quite well was manage my expectations

Build a bespoke custom CMS e-commerce platform.

I've worked with the technical director on a previous project, and was more than confident with his abilities to deliver on this project.

The agency has built a fully bespoke custom CMS platform with Stripe payment integration, and bespoke delay payment authorisation for the unique group buying cycles. Including the design of various email templates such as: orders, refunds, and dispatch etc.

A good understanding of our requirements and what we were trying to achieve with the platform.
