I am the founder of hot for food, an online blog centered around vegan recipes and lifestyle content.

My website has gone through many iterations, none of which were really up to par with the vision I had for my brand. I hired Digital Finest to revamp my site, make it more user-friendly, faster and more efficient. I also continue to use them for monthly maintenance and updates of the webite.

They were referred to me by another client who had great things to say . I hadn't found a developer I could really trust and rely on until I connected with Digital Finest.

changing the design and functionality of the website involved creating design template proposals and user experience flow charts. I really relied on Digital Finest to recommend best practices and apps because I am not technically apt. This stuff always frustrates me so they were really doing all the planning and work. I had some creative direction and input but they always knew best.

I worked with 1 person, Gabriel Marusca, who is the founder of the company.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After launching the website there was a definite increase in visitors staying on the site which had been an issue in the past. The formatting of recipes and content was much easier to access, search through and read. Overall the site just aesthetically looked much better!

They are very timely and efficient with their communication. I never had any issue with receiving updates on time or early. Whenever there is an issue that needs troubleshooting they are on top of it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Being not technically apt the teaching from Gabriel was immensely helpful. He was patient and thorough in showing me how to operate the backend of WP, make my own improvements or updates with Elementor. They really make it easy for me to manage day-to-day activities on the site by taking the time to guide me.

From the inception of my company, Digital Finest was there to help guide me through everything, starting with the initial branding from a digital requirements perspective (color scheme, logo, etc.). We then moved forward with building the website and after several iterations and experimentation we found an amazing look and feel I am very happy with. Since then, we've added many layers and functionalities to the site including a payment platform, multiple event pages and blogs.

I generally work with Gabriel, the owner but have recently corresponded with a number of his new team members.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

My website constantly needed to be updated as we are an event company and Gabriel is always on the ball and ready to help maintain a functional, interactive web experience for our customers. He is also very thorough when it comes to security.

Workflow was always effective.

I am always impressed by how invested they are in the success of my business. They wanted to work hard to create an amazing web experience to help me reach my short and long term goals.

I'm one of the owners and the Chief Innovation Officer for PrtX, an event consultancy that specializes in delivering real-life experiences in pre-dominantly virtual formats.

As a new company we were in need for an experienced web designer and developer that could not only implement our vision but guide us through key decisions about our website due to an extensive professional background and experience. The website was an important piece in showcasing our brand presence and aesthetics while inviting visitors to learn more about our services and to directly get in touch with us.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We sourced offers from different vendors and compared expertise, pricing and soft skills from the interviews, as projects like these (particular for new companies like PrtX) can be quite time consuming and require a lot of clear communication and expectation setting. As a remote-first company we enjoyed the fact that Gabe's company Digital Finest is also a remote-first company, further strengthening our belief that he was the right partner for the job.

As most projects with external vendors, we too started with a kick-off meeting where I shared what our goals and objectives are for the website. In the next meeting I shared our branding deck and our vision to the look and feel of the website. Gabe started working by outlining his implementation strategy, mock-ups and an estimated time table. After approval of these, he set out to create the first wireframes for the different pages. After a few review sessions and UI/UX consultations from his colleague Ralu, he designed and developed our website using Wordpress. The website now was rich in quality information, displayed in a user-friendly manner, had a landing page of our blog and offered multiple call-to-actions to a no nonsense contact form.

The project lead and founder of Digital Finest, Gabe, was our main point of contact. His colleague Ralu lead consultation for all UX/UI parts of the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Once the website went live we heard a lot of positive feedback from our network, particular due its branding consistency and ease with which it is to navigate. Our website traffic remains high and we experience weekly new leads through our online contact form.

As Digital Finest and PrtX are both remote-first companies and we have the Atlantic Ocean between us, the communication was a successful mix of synchronized (zoom) and a-synchronized meetings (loom). The team at Digital Finest were always on-time and deliverables always arrived in a timely manner, which was greatly helped through their proactive communication approach.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Digital Finest have provided us with a well functioning, beautifully crafted and informative website. Their output has since served as a dependable sales funnel for new leads in a fairly short time. Many of the contents we are now able to update ourselves, due to the clear instructions and trainings provided by Digital Finest. What I enjoy the most, even above the previously mentioned points, is how pro-active Digital Finest provides us with new suggestions to further strengthen our website, (hosting, analytics, SEO, plug-ins, etc.), always delivered with expertise and a smile.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We initially implemented Typeform into our website as a contact form, but Digital Finest quickly realized that given our services, key target customers and in an attempt to save costs, smartly advised us to replace Typeform with an autonomous contact form on our website.

Also, they specialize in buying diamonds, jewelry, fine timepieces, estate jewelry and gold. The Today Show and the SunSentinel reported that Daoud’s Paid the Highest Prices for your jewelry. Voted the “Best Jeweler” in Fort Lauderdale for 2021-2022.

The store offers jewelry repair, appraisals, watch repair, watch battery replacement, and pearl restringing services. We initially worked with Gabe via Upwork and really enjoyed our collaboration, so we decided to turn it into a long term one.

We've worked together for many years now so going through each step and deliverable for all the projects we've done together here isn't really realistic :) We've worked on creating and maintaining 3 WordPress websites together, lately using Elementor, and we generally had a kick-off meeting where we agreed on objectives, timeline, etc and then moved on to execution.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We generally saw an increase of 30-50% in time spent on our websites when launching one with Digital Finest or revamping an existing one.

We used Slack for ongoing communication and found Gabe to be very structured, punctual and clear in communication. They use Clickup for their task management.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I enjoy the most about working with Digital Finest is that they understand our business and objectives, not only the technical/web dev side. We have productive conversations about how to best achieve our objectives, which makes for a great collaboration.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are always minor tweaks and bugs to be fixed, especially after a launch, but Digital Finest was always quick to address it.
