What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed me most was their deep technical expertise combined with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. Their ability to seamlessly integrate DevOps, security tools, and scalable architecture within a healthcare context was truly outstanding.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Devinity Solutions could have done differently?

While the overall experience was excellent, enhanced scalability planning during the initial architecture phase and more frequent performance benchmarking could further strengthen their already solid delivery model. These additions would support even greater long-term growth and optimization.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the head of operations for an events management consultancy. We operate, manage, execute, and plan events in gaming and non-gaming fields. We do medical conferences, gaming events, e-sports tournaments, and career fairs on a larger scale. I manage everything internally, including projects, recruitment, HR, and the organization's general operations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Devinity Solutions?

We needed to scale up and down as required and change requirements without hiring our developers. The amount of work changed and was quite seasonal in the event space. We needed to increase our resources and change the skill set without going through a full-on recruiting process.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Devinity Solutions provides staff augmentation services for our software development needs. Our tech and software is a white-labeled solution allowing us to track client metrics. We create our websites for every project, mainly for registrations, to track specific metrics and analytics for the clients. In some cases, it's a fresh domain; in others, it's a subpage within a larger domain.

Sometimes, Devinity Solutions supports our current or previous development teams. It's a copy and modify, depending on the project. The team does everything, from working on a website that just crashed to working on cloud-based servers because that's where we store a lot of the information we have. They take what our designers create on Figma and populate it onto a domain, building the website and ensuring it's up and running.

We used to rely heavily on Laravel, but Devinity Solutions has introduced Next.js to our systems, and that's what we're shifting towards. Rana, who's significantly more senior, works as a consultant with us, discovering our challenges and coming up with solutions. Based on that, we will steer the direction of the development team to fit those needs. Devinity Solutions also does maintenance and hosting.

We have two points of contact. Muhammad works with us on a full-time contract, and Rana, Devinity Solutions' co-founder, operates with us as a consultant. We sometimes get additional resources, and when it's quieter, we scale down to one resource that continues to work with us full-time.

We were looking for an in-house recruiter and reached out to Rana. We found out Devinity Solutions had a solution that worked for us.

We've spent around $20,000 so far.

We started working together in August 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're happy with Devinity Solutions' service and will continue to work with them. Aside from their development support, their customer service is excellent; when we have issues, the team immediately escalates and tackles them.

Devinity Solutions' knowledge and expertise have been quite helpful. Our development team has gotten used to working with Devinity Solutions and relies heavily on their expertise.

How did Devinity Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Devinity Solutions consistently meets their deadlines and stays on budget. Our engagement with the team isn't project-based but on a retainer basis, and we scale up and down as needed. 

Devinity Solutions relies heavily on Jira, and the developer who works with us is fully embedded within our system, so they have an email with our domain and are on Google Chats, our primary mode of communication. Rana is reachable by phone and WhatsApp when needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Devinity Solutions is easy to deal with. We need someone who can understand what we want, offer remarkable solutions, and be onboarded quickly. The team's ability to scale up and down is a plus and the main reason we went with them, as well as the availability of skill sets; Devinity Solutions has a pool of resources that can tackle different challenges.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It's a bit early to suggest that. Occasionally, I would recommend more face-to-face meetings with the heads, like review sessions. We haven't addressed that with Devinity Solutions, but it would be helpful.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Understand what you want, but be open to Devinity Solutions' suggestions. In our case, we knew our systems and have developed and used them for years. Our developers used an outdated system, but changing it didn't make sense due to how many websites we used it for.

We had to listen, accept Devinity Solutions' changes, and work on our actual developer's skill set to match the technology needed. Devinity Solutions is flexible if you're open-minded and willing to listen to them. Their approach is excellent; it's professional yet friendly. I don't have a development background, but Rana can ease down technical language so I can understand it in simple terms.

I’m the chief supply officer at Gaper, a remote staff augmentation company. We provide remote resources to clients worldwide. Our platform has an extensive vetting process, which I lead. Customers come to us and say they need a software engineer, and we provide them with a list of people to interview.

Devinity Solutions provides us with software engineers. Whenever we see a skill that our customer needs, we contact Devinity Solutions. We tell them the request and ask if they have the right resources. If they’re available, we do the vetting process again with their people. If it’s a proper match, we send their resources to the customers, and the other process starts. Recently, we got an AI specialist who connects APIs with OpenAI and ChatGPT.

We work with around six teammates from Devinity Solutions, including our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Devinity Solutions?

Our CEO recommended them to me. They were also from the same university as me, so we had a connection. We started with them because they had a full-stack software engineer. We worked with him for over a year, and then we started getting more people from them, like front- and backend engineers. That was how the engagement started.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Devinity Solutions is good and responsive. We have a lot of trust in their software engineers. If we’re stuck somewhere or can’t find good people, we know that if we send them, they’ll crack it.

How did Devinity Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via Slack and Trello. We have different SDRs and project coordinators on our side, and we have a monthly call with their team. If their software engineers have any issues, they can come to us.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their software engineers are good. We can trust and rely on them, and they’ll deliver the solution.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re a young company, and sometimes they lose focus. They could earn and grow more if they had more focus.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you want good software engineers around the .NET, MERN, or AI tech stacks, and if you want them to work remotely under your supervision, you should go for them.
