I’m a principal and one of the partners at Phoenix 2.0, a full-service IT and cybersecurity consulting management firm.

What challenge were you trying to address with Designflair, LLC? 

We hired Designflair to revamp our marketing program for our brand. The core piece of their work was redoing our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Designflair provided a holistic digital marketing revamp for us. We wanted to roll out a new website using WordPress and develop new content that would go with it. We selected a template with a lot of functionality, pages, and menu options, so it was an extensive design process. Some things that we liked were already in place, but we needed some guidance. 

The first thing we did was a customer survey of the things that we wanted to highlight on our website. After getting testimonials, we wrote copies reflecting what our clients said instead of just talking about ourselves. 

Alysa (CEO & Creative Director) also asked us a series of questions that made us think things through. She initially recommended some WordPress themes, and then we went through a design sprint where we reassessed the website. While she was doing the designs, we had a chance to think about some of the site's content. She would give us assignments, and we would check where we were every couple of months.

We also wanted to drive traffic to the website and generate leads. As a result, Designflair did some organic SEO work for us. They made sure that the site was optimized and that we had keywords that lined up with what we did and with the customers that we wanted to attract. 

Moreover, we wanted to spruce up our brand a little by updating some of the collateral we have, such as the logo. Designflair redesigned our proposal format and letterhead, and they made sure that the color schemes across our website and social media matched. They also updated the collateral we use in the sales process. Then, I wrote around 12 articles with Alyssa’s guidance and review.

For this project, I worked directly with Alyssa. However, I’ve worked with some other people from her team in the past. 

How did you come to work with Designflair, LLC?

We met at a conference many years ago, and we’ve used Alyssa for small projects. We’ve also referred her to a couple of clients that were happy with her work. When we were looking to do this major revamp, I received her newsletter and something in it convinced me to talk to her about the project. We also talked to several other firms, but Designflair had the most comprehensive and reasonable program at a price that fit our budget. 

How much have you invested with them?

We spent close to $5,000 on everything. 

What is the status of this engagement?

This project lasted from January–November 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

First of all, I fell in love with the website as soon as I saw it coming to fruition. The website was original, and it was everything that we hoped for. Since it launched, I’ve received consistently great feedback from people, which we didn’t get from the old website — it was like night and day. Alyssa has done an amazing job. 

We also definitely had strong third and fourth quarters last year, and we onboarded a handful of new clients. When they went to the website — which was our client enablement tool — it backed up everything we were saying to them on the phone or in meetings. 

In other words, the site facilitated sales in the way that we intended. Previously, we were only hoping the old website wouldn’t turn clients off. Now, we feel that the website is adding a lot of value for us. 

How did Designflair, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We used shared documents on G-Suite, and then we used email and phone calls. That worked well. Designflair was very accommodating in terms of workload and schedule. Moreover, we wouldn’t have been able to come up with the whole vision of the website in a quick amount of time, so it was great that Alyssa was okay with creating the website over time. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The most impressive thing about Designflair was how talented they were, specifically in terms of pure web design and how beautiful the website turned out to be. They were also great when it came to the technical complexities of WordPress. We had a lot of content, but they were able to handle such complexities. The team had the ability to write content and think holistically about our marketing strategy. 

We looked at other firms that offered this packaged service, and they were many times more expensive than Designflair. To sum up, the team was very strong in terms of the full gamut of digital marketing services and design they offered; they were also reasonably priced and easy to work with. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We were making many changes to the website, so at one point, we lost track of what changes had been made. That could have been helped by a project management tool. That was the only thing I could think of improving, and it may only be because I was machine-gunning emails at Alyssa. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I always urge people to talk to Designflair. Potential customers should consult with them regarding their overall marketing and website design strategy, which is their strength.

I am the co-owner of a logging and forestry management company. We’re a multi-member LLC with two owners.

We needed someone to create a website for us and help with our marketing efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Designflair designed and developed the site from scratch using Wix. We provided the content, and they took over from there. It details all the different services we offer, previous projects we’ve completed, and information about the team. There’s also a page where potential customers could contact us and have us look at their projects, which is the main component we wanted. 

To push the site out there and get it noticed, they do SEO and PPC through Google Ads. They do keyword research, which they then use to write blog posts utilizing specific keywords. The team has also done work outside of the website.

What is the team composition?

We work primarily with Alyssa (Owner).

How did you come to work with Designflair, LLC.?

My business partner was the one who initially found her online — she was an owner-operator who seemed easy to work with and was fairly knowledgeable, so we met up with her. She was a good fit, so we decided to go ahead and hire her.

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent around $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working in March 2019, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

A lot of what we've been using to measure the project’s success is how many people view the site; thanks to their work, we have definitely seen improvements month after month. They’re really at the top of their game.

How did Designflair, LLC. perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been doing great at project management — they’re constantly checking in to see if we need anything, and they always keep us updated on their progress. We typically communicate via email, and if we need anything, we give the team a phone call.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed by the tidiness of their work. The team is also always on schedule and prompt. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t really think of anything off the top of my head. They’ve been doing well. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would definitely recommend them to anyone. The only thing you’d have to do is provide content. Designflair’s expertise is in marketing, so they might not be knowledgeable about the industry you’re in — you’ve got to do your job right for their work to be successful. Give them the right content to make the website what you want it to be, and once they have that information, they will take over from there.

We chose Design Flair due to the fact that she had amazing google reviews and is local as well!

Design flair took care of most of the project. We were not versed in website design and she really hit it out of the park. We gave her our plan on what we wanted and she walked us through the whole thing.

Allyssa was our main contact and she runs Design Flair as the owner operator.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We love the website and it has helped us hire two new employees and book numerous new jobs. Thanks to this project we are booked all the way to next spring!

We communicated mostly by phone and Email do to the fact that us here at Century Forest Management are out in the field most of the time. She made everything super easy so we didn't have to slack on production.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really appreciated that I could text her at any time and she would take care of what I needed. She was very professional and thoughtful. We strive to support local business and were extremely happy with the choice to use Design Flair, LLC.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, She seems to really know how to run a professional business and have very happy customers who will refer her to anyone!

A local company developed my website and Alyssa (Owner & Creative Director) is assisting me in editing it. She also provides troubleshooting services for my platform. Moreover, she creates e-books and designs them for me. I have three different content pages on my website; one for inner child work, one for past life regression, and then one for life purpose. 

Designflair also helps me with PR and branding which includes designing my logo. Together with the launching of my website, we will plan the outreach efforts to build my client base. They’re also set to provide marketing services and will help me update an old website I have which I use for writing and teaching work.

Initially, I was only researching local companies that could do my logo and business cards. Then, when I saw Designflair, I was drawn by Alyssa’s website quality. She basically modeled what a good website looked like. Furthermore, she offered a lot of e-book giveaways and had a great wealth of information. 

More importantly, Alyssa had a wonderful technology background. Overall, she was a person I look forward to working with. As a result, I connected with her through her website, and when we met in person, we started our engagement.

Our ongoing work began in September 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I have very high professional standards and I’ve never found anyone professionally that is so easy and graceful to work with. I appreciate that Alyssa anticipates situations, she troubleshoots and is able to spot problems before they happen. 

How did Designflair, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been incredibly gracious in their communication. Moreover, they’re prompt and trustworthy, and that’s the reason why if Alyssa asks me if I want to do something, I always say yes. They're great compared to other agencies or individuals — other teams don’t get back to us if they mess up something and they don’t take accountability. 

Furthermore, they have an excellent project management process, and they get back to me even before I ask. We’re both very professional, and it’s clear to me that Designflair cares about its clients. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Alyssa has been remarkably intelligent and creative; All of the e-books she has created have been lovely. Almost everything she does have been impressive, and she has a unique skill set of combining her innovativeness and vision with being technically skilled.

Moreover, her skill set allows her to be efficient and have a big picture awareness of the projects she’s working on. Overall, I’ve never worked with a company that I have been so appreciative of and satisfied with on all levels. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m more than satisfied with Designflair’s services, and there is nothing that they can do better. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trust Designflair. Trust Alyssa implicitly; She’s ethical, multi-talented, and a very good communicator. Just make sure that you keep up your end and as a business, reach out to her if there are any issues. Overall, she’s a good choice and the finest business owner I’ve ever worked with.
