I’m the CEO of New York City Bride. We’re an online retailer, and we sell wedding dresses and accessories.

What challenge were you trying to address with Deneeze?

We started as a small company, so we needed a company that could help us build the brand and make it more known. We weren’t sure which direction we should go in, where we should advertise, or what channels we should use. They did a marketing strategy and helped us with social media.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Deneeze has created a strategy for us and helped us with our advertising channels. First, they did our brand position and story, and then we made some changes. We had little presence on social media, so they helped us with Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and a little bit of TikTok.

Deneeze has also created a special social media strategy, a message for our company, and information for our tradeshows. We were able to upgrade the website and make some changes to how we present ourselves with their help. Moreover, we’ve implemented a special advertisement targeting thanks to their recommendations.

What is the team composition?

We work with one person on targeting and budgeting, and he analyzes how much to spend and the best channels for us to spend on. Deneeze has also assigned another person responsible for our content and what we post on social media. We started with video, moved on to catalog, and then made some changes to get a specific audience.

How did you come to work with Deneeze?

We spoke with different agencies. Anna (Owner) and I worked together many years ago, and I knew that she had her own company. A small mistake can have a huge impact in this industry because wedding dresses and accessories are a very sensitive subject for our customers, and I knew how reliable Anna is.

How much have you invested in them?

I believe we’ve spent under $20,000. We pay three cents per click right now, which is great.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in June 2020, and we’re still working with them. They currently manage our social media.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we started, we had a few hundred followers, and a small number of customers came to us through our social media. Our business mainly was through word of mouth, and we’d also done some tradeshows as well. Now, we have almost 10,000 followers, and about 50% of our business comes from social media.

In addition, we’ve actually doubled the business despite the pandemic, and it has been thanks to Deneeze. They created the strategy, and we now know how to move forward.

How did Deneeze perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve never been late, and sometimes things are done even earlier than the deadline. As a small company, sometimes we’re the ones who are delayed when there are a lot of things going on. They share files through Google Drive, and we also use a task application where we can see all the tasks that currently need to be finished or submitted.

On the other side, communication has been perfect. Everything is produced in Ukraine, so there’s a time difference, but it hasn’t been an issue for them. All the presentations and everything that’s been done has always been perfect. I also appreciate that they make it understandable in English and Russian so my team can understand it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re able to find solutions for unique problems. I’ve realized that many companies just say that they don’t provide that service, and they don’t try to find a solution. However, Deneeze looks at different options and makes changes until we’re happy and feel that it’s perfect.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They had a small team initially, and even though everything was done on time, I just felt that they should have a bigger team. At this point, they have a great team of people, so I don’t see anywhere else where they could improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They might ask you to provide different information by a certain day because they need it in order to finish the project on time. Sometimes we didn’t have the time, so we didn’t submit things on schedule.

Therefore, if you decide to go with Deneeze, I recommend dedicating some time and submitting everything they need. When they’re missing information such as details, images, or articles, they can’t move forward, and if you’re delaying the project, they won’t be able to finish on time.

We interviewed several agencies and Anna's approach stood out. She was willing to work with all sizes of projects and help cover all of our needs with her large network of various vendors.

We needed to come up with a very modern, unique and luxurious feel brand. She was able to consult us from day 1, ask the right questions, provide various samples and listen to our opinion to make the edits.

I truly enjoyed outside of the box thinking. They did not want to just offer something to "get the project done quickly". They listened to us and our needs!

I had started a project with a web developer over 2 months ago and the product was unusable. Anna Deneeze jumped in and created an entirely new website in one week!

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I know Anna from the Harvard Business School Women's Association. We are colleagues and friends.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a preliminary meeting to discuss the business, by brand and goals. Anna evaluated the website that I wasn't happy with and determined that it couldn't be salvaged. We both collaborated on a new template on SquareSpace and worked closely on building the new site.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website was just launched and I'm very pleased with the design. It looks upscale, professional, and polished. It is fully operational!

Took a strong leadership role, but was calm and always kind. Enthusiastic and generating new ideas!

Their hands-on approach. Jump in and get it done. Real entrepreneurs! The team truly cared about the work and our success! They were the perfect partners.

How did you select Deneeze?

We found the company through referrals. We had worked unsuccessfully with a few other companies beforehand but had a much better experience with Deneeze.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

The scope included the development of a brand book and other marketing materials both the copy and design. As a first step we had a meeting with them explaining our business. We then completed a questionnaire describing our design preferences. An iterative process followed until we agreed upon the final branding.

We worked closely with the executive of the firm and had meetings with her team when more specific discussions were required.

We have settled on our branding and are preparing to go to market.

They are effective at delivering the materials on time and responding to our suggestions.

They provided very clean and well thought out designs. They also showed a great feel for colors and fonts. We were also impressed by how they were able to meet the schedule, sometimes even exceed.

I’m the CEO of a home services company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Deneeze?

I needed help with web development and marketing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Deneeze helped me create our company’s branding content and brand book from scratch. They also developed our marketing strategy and set up our Facebook and Instagram accounts. On top of that, the team built our WordPress site.

We agreed that the project would take 12 weeks to complete. The first two weeks were discussions about what we needed as well as our goals. The next two weeks were focused on our branding. After that, the remaining 4–6 weeks were for the website development project.

What is the team composition?

I collaborated with five different people including designers and developers.

How did you come to work with Deneeze?

I searched for a lot of companies who could help us with our branding and development needs. After two weeks of searching, I found that Deneeze could provide everything in one package for a reasonable price.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent $12,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our collaboration ran from February–June 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did a good job, and they performed even more than I expected. For example, we asked for five logo examples and we received seven. We asked for four different types of t-shirts and they provided seven types. Overall, everything was great.

How did Deneeze perform from a project management standpoint?

We highly appreciated that they provided an extra three months of service if we needed anything with the site. They also uploaded videos and added pages for free.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We were impressed that the Deneeze team completed the project on time. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we were happy with everything.

Research what kind of company you’d need and identify your goals for the project.  In our case, Deneeze was the perfect company for our needs.
