BACKGROUND

CRICiT Labs is a startup that conceptualized, created, and owns CRICiT, a mobile application targeted at cricket social and talent networking. The next version of the application is under development and is expected to be coupled with its debut release on iOS. The company is currently privately funded and all capital and intellectual rights are owned by Madhur Kushwaha, our CEO and co-founder.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

The tangible form of intellectual property and the ideation of CRICiT’s co-founders is the Android mobile app. The application is the core of our business operation, and optimal application development, maintenance, and enhancement of the app remain critical success factors.

Our target market spans tens of millions of passionate Cricket lovers in countries like India, Australia, England, and South Africa, who enjoy exhibiting their cricket talent and wish to organize and publish their daily personal cricketing achievements in an effortless and pro-styled format.

This cricketing experience is enhanced by the use of engaging concepts that promote sportsmanship such as a peer performance-rating system and voting-based awards. Our potential development partner needed to understand our intent and vision in order to prescribe the right solution and tech-stack that would support it.

SOLUTION

Debut Infotech was discovered as a result of online research focused on cost competitiveness and previous work. The ability to partner for a long-term engagement and a reduction in the learning curve are underlying objectives expected from this service provider.

We ended the engagement in June 2017 but we hope to work with them on upgrades in the future.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Debut Infotech showed the right temperament and quick learning throughout the systems development life cycle. They were committed, met the scope, delivered within expectations, and course corrected with ample agility when advised.

The Android app was successfully delivered and uploaded on the Google Play Store for global download. We’re in very early stages, as the launch is barely a month old. Our marketing strategies have just started producing results and any objective evaluation would be premature. Signs are undoubtedly positive, though.

Debut Infotech’s ability to go beyond service terms and engage in value-added services shows promising intent for long-term engagement. This is a valuable thing for us and our product.

BACKGROUND

iLead Integrated Solutions is a market leader in providing varied enterprise solutions for maximizing the capabilities of existing businesses, broaden marketing, sales, and customer-related services through a range of products that pertain to multiple business areas. I was the project manager and a backend developer for this collaboration. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We had a mobile application version of our document management system (DMS) that we wanted to enhance and expand, and we were looking for an outsourcing partner to handle that work. The application is not for the public to use; users must purchase our full DMS solution (iDOX) in order to use the mobile application and connect it to their network. 

SOLUTION

Debut Infotech conducted both iOS and Android app development. We provided them with the required web services and APIs. The original application had bugs and issues and was developed using old APIs and methods. In addition to modernizing the product, we also wanted to add new features to keep up with our web and desktop applications.

We handled the backend development (database and web services), and Debut Infotech handled the mobile applications. They upgraded the APIs, fixed the bugs, and added features as per our requirements. We were constantly monitoring the work in order to explain the business logic and sequence.

I found Debut Infotech after searching on Google for the "best application development companies." I went over all the results that were priced at less than $25 per hour and had Skype calls with 5 providers. We chose Debut Infotech because they were professional, could work quickly, and quoted a low hourly rate. The development process took 3 months. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

We haven't had to modify Debut Infotech’s work except for some parts that were business-specific. We had several sessions with the team to discuss our business and how the main application should function. We sent design guidelines to the team and received screens for the work every 2 days. They only required minor alterations.

Our clients haven’t tested the new applications yet due to a delay from our side in publishing the application. However, we have tested the application ourselves and made sure that all of our requirements were met. I can’t think of anything that they could’ve done better.

With our previous mobile app version, our clients would often share complaints. Now, I think the new options will have a positive impact on our clients and, consequently, on our business opportunities.

I’m the VP of marketing for Ivory, and we developed an app to serve the niche dating application sector for single men and women that reside in Singapore and Singaporeans outside the country, with the objective of making real dating and romance connections happen among a curated audience.

My role is to find creative ways to market the product to a wider audience in Singapore, find creative strategies for publicity and advertising, and ultimately drive sales and user sign-ups for the application.

What challenge were you trying to address with Debut Infotech?

Ivory tackles a problem in the online and mobile dating space of Singapore, where the market has been saturated with poor results. With an exhausted user base yearning for a significantly better product, our value proposition lies in ensuring that a quality product is delivered to our customers, above and beyond what our existing competition was. The challenge was to convince the existing users to use and scale the application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Debut Infotech provided a highly effective application for us. There were several complex algorithmic challenges to process and go through, and Debut was instrumental in solving this for us.

Currently, the app is only available for iPhones, however, a future Android version is planned. The technologies involved include Swift primarily on the coding backend and Amazon Web Services on the server side.

How did you come to work with Debut Infotech?

We found Debut Infotech through Upwork after reviewing over a dozen potential candidates. We went through a thorough request for proposal and interview process with our candidates and found Debut Infotech to be the most responsive, accommodating, and accomplished of the several other respondents.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We just launched the product and Debut Infotech has already been highly effective in providing ongoing support for us! We are very satisfied with their service.

Are there any areas Debut Infotech could improve?

Debut can focus more on having the same team members carry the project through from start to finish. We worked with over 10 people throughout this project and this could have been streamlined to 2–3 maximum.

I run an app consulting and UX design company in Ukraine.

What challenge were you trying to address with Debut Infotech?

I had a retail client who wanted to develop a mobile app for their business. I was the product manager for this project.

I had already done the user stories/wireframes for the app. I needed a multiplatform application with a backend panel and both Android and iOS apps for employees.

SOLUTION

How did you come to work with Debut Infotech?

I already had complete UI/UX design of the app. In the process, I started to work on identifying potential companies. I vetted at least half a dozen suppliers in Europe, South Asia, and India. I had few calls with Debut Infotech’s team and interviewed their developer to judge their technical skills.

Once we finished the vetting process, we felt confident that Debut Infotech was the right firm to partner with for two big reasons. First, they have strong in-house developers. Second, from a project management standpoint, they gave me an incredible amount of flexibility for changing priorities.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in January and will last for four months.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

Debut Infotech worked relentlessly to help us complete this project on time and within budget, which was phenomenal. The product is live and currently used by our retail customer. We are very happy with the overall development cycle. We also have a maintenance agreement with Debut Infotech.

How did Debut Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

Debut Infotech’s team was very committed. They're available anytime during the day. Public holidays, weekends—it doesn't matter. If I had a question, they responded very quickly. It's very clear within the development team who is doing what, so it makes it easy to find the right person to talk to straight away. The collaboration tools they used made the process smooth.

We are startup company based in Saudi Arabia providing e-learning solution to students. Our product helps university students to manage their notes and allows students to submit their assignments, practice quizzes, etc.

I am a co-founder of this product and was involved directly with Debut Infotech during the development stage.

We were looking for a skilled team with past experience in e-learning to help us with building the app. I have an application architecture and development background since I’ve worked with Ernst & Young and other tech companies. The company also needed to have mobile app knowledge and work within my budget.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Debut Infotech has handled our conceptual ideas, design, development, and testing, although I was closely involved with their project manager. They developed the server component and mobile apps based on our requirements.

How did you come to work with Debut Infotech?

We discovered Debut Infotech on Upwork. They were part of a list of app development companies we compiled in order to ensure we found a good fit.

We chose Debut Infotech due to their 5-star technical profile; they seemed energetic and ambitious and have already worked on e-learning apps. It seemed like a good match. I had a talk with their representative, and we seemed to be on the same page; he understood what I wanted to do. I was very impressed with their app portfolio since they have already worked with a few startups.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or impact of the engagement?

Debut Infotech has developed the app as per our requirements. They had an excellent team and were friendly and genuine. They also have good communication skills and are always reachable.

Debut Infotech has assisted us in maximizing our idea and bringing it to life in ways we never imagined. We have a robust product and are getting great feedback from our customers.

How did Debut Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

All of our requests were tended to immediately, and they were always looking to improve the app throughout the process. They don’t stop anywhere short of perfection with regard to sleek aesthetics, quick bug removal, and effectiveness.

This is our first project with them, but we would like their assistance in adding new features. We hope our partnership can continue because they’ve made it such a seamless experience for us.

BACKGROUND

TelcoBuddy is an automated broker of IT services such as fiber internet and VoIP for businesses. As the founder, I worked with Debut Infotech from functional requirements and wireframes all the way to a full featured product.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

I had no experience in building websites, but I knew what the requirements would be. The frontend would need to be responsive and mobile friendly, with map functionality and SQL database. Creating the entire site required constant and ample communication to ensure that the scope creep was minimal and work was done to satisfaction.

SOLUTION

I interviewed eight companies, but Debut Infotech was the only one to ask me specific questions about the implementation. This stood out to me and showed that Debut Infotech wanted to get a true understanding of my project from the start.

Once selected, I handed over the full functional requirements along with wireframes and had the kickoff call. Debut Infotech's team normalized the wireframes, designed the front and backend, and wrote all the code. This was done in sprints and delivered in adherence to what was defined initially. We went back to Debut Infotech to continue improving the site after the initial project was finished.

I used Upwork for the entire process of finding and selecting a vendor for the build. I used the Upwork reviews but liked what Debut Infotech told me in the interview the best.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

I'm extremely happy with the work that Debut Infotech has done for TelcoBuddy. The feedback and constant communication are essential when working with contractors and especially when it's your first time building an app or website. The scope was closely followed, with each question I posed being handled via an excel spreadsheet to make sure absolutely nothing was missed.

I can report that the site is live and fully functional, so we are happy. We need to make an improvement on UX/UI [user experience/user interface] to move forward.

BACKGROUND

Obelisk Infotech provides SEO and marketing services to our clients. One of our clients needed an Android app solution, so we were looking for a development partner who could complete the work. I was the project manager for developing this project.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We want to develop a tool that syncs data directly from a HubSpot account to an Oracle ERP [enterprise resource planning] solution. This tool needed to be developed using Node.js technology and be able to auto-sync the data in real time.

In addition, we needed an Android-based app that allows us to view all the analytics and trends. There were third-party API [application programming interface] integrations involved as well to validate the data. Time was critical, and we wanted this solution in 12 weeks ready to be launched.

SOLUTION

Debut Infotech had already worked on a HubSpot API, so they understood the concept that we were trying to achieve quickly. We approached them with our problem statement. Their solution architect laid out the development plan and component involved with the project. They accommodated me in every way possible, and the team worked overtime and on weekends to complete the project in 12 weeks. The final product has exceeded my expectations.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The project was quite successful. They are great to work with and provided all the iteration and changes that were required during the development of this product. We worked closely with them, and the final product was exactly as per the agreed scope. Debut Infotech has helped us with any last-minute glitches. Overall, it was a very positive experience with Debut Infotech, and we highly recommend them for mobile and web development work. We look forward to continuing our work with them.

BACKGROUND

I consulted for a publishing company producing award winning print assets, industry events, and research. I was responsible for finding a development team to achieve our goals.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We needed to develop integration tools to connect incoming data from our marketing platform, Hubspot, to a client's ERP, so that they could receive everything they need in real time from our tools.

This tool needed to be developed using node JS technology and auto-sync in real time. We also needed a web-portal dashboard that would allow us to view our analytics and trends. We need to connect to the third party's API [application program interface] integrations for data validation. We wanted the solution completed and functioning in 8 weeks or less.

SOLUTION

The Debut Infotech team has experience working with Hubspot's API, so it was easy for them to quickly understand our needs and to make a development plan and components list for the project.

I learned of them through a friend.

We began with simple email correspondence regarding the needs of the project and some of the requirement details. They were responsive and helpful in thinking through the project, and helped us understand our own needs better through these preliminary discussions. They then asked us further questions and were able to get us a project proposal soon after our responses.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The budget was less than we anticipated and the quality of service was higher than we expected. Debut Infotech accommodated us in every way possible, and exceeded my expectations in quality of deliverables, clarity of communication, and timing.

I think Debut Infotech is unique in that, not only do they have excellent technical capacity in software development, but they have easy communication and a highly reliable customer focused business process. They take the principles of scrum development seriously and the results show. They are a patient and persistent team with tremendous skills, and it has been a pleasure to work with them.

BACKGROUND

Our company is a consulting firm that provide solutions to small and medium size businesses to increase the use of technology and automate their business processes.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

We wanted to create a mobile app for our client that can replace the existing  paper menu with tablets. These tablets are empowering customers to view the recent offers and show the menu based on customers' previous buying behavior. Also, the tablets needed to have seamless integration with their existing POS (point of sale). Basically we wanted to improve the way in which the restaurant marketed their products & services.

SOLUTION

Debut Infotech's team have already worked on other mobile ordering products, so they have a good understanding of the concept. We approached them with wire-frames and user stories. Once we had finalized on the concept and design, Debut Team proceeded to develop the app end to end.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

I found them while searching on Google and reviewed their portfolio. I signed an NDA with them and then briefed them about the project. I asked Debut Infotech's team to provide a technical solution and approach for the project. We were impressed with the system diagram and technical design provided by them.

BACKGROUND

SAAVI is a leader in Mobile Ordering Solutions. We also provide custom solutions to businesses. I'm the Chief Executive Officer of SAAVI.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

One of our clients is one of the biggest laundry companies in Australia. Due to limited in-house technical capabilities, the client sought a qualified technology partner to develop and deploy automated processes to increase the efficiency of their business.

SOLUTION

SAAVI was working on the back end solution while Debut Infotech worked on the mobile app for this project. The back end of the app is Asp.net with MSSQL server back-end, leveraging third party APIS. The Debut team was responsible for developing the iOS and Android app. It was very important to develop the solution in mobile apps efficiently and sync with the server side. They effectively developed the product and implemented well within our timeline.

The project was completed on time and within budget. We were also satisfied with their quality.
