I'm the CEO of a marketplace that enables individuals to rent and lend outdoor gear, promoting sustainable consumption and partnering with retailers to support both sharing and retail sales.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire DCODE Services to accomplish for your business?

We needed help building most of the functionality for our e-commerce rental platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DCODE Services has been instrumental in building most of the functionality for our e-commerce rental platform. This has involved end-to-end software solution design based on product specifications. The solutions have spanned the full spectrum of e-commerce capabilities, including Stripe integration, setting up our development CI/CD pipeline in Azure, database architecture and management, live site and bug fixes, web page performance optimization, email, and SMS email automation via SendGrid/Twilio, among others.

We started working with DCODE Services in June 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

DCODE Services has delivered a full end-to-end realization of all customer features for our e-commerce marketplace business. As a result of their work, we've seen increased sales, site performance, and user engagement. They've taken us from 0 to 1 on all metrics, and our business is close to being profitable because of their ongoing work.

How did DCODE Services perform from a project management standpoint?

DCODE Services is a great communicator, especially when large-scale projects involve nuanced changes to delivery scope and timelines. We've faced this often, and they've always been good at communicating in a timely and clear fashion. We communicate via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

DCODE Services has been able to help our small business with the full lifecycle of software engineering work, and their work has been instrumental to the success of our business. They're great to work with, quick learners, and great at adapting based on feedback. I highly recommend them.
