I'm an executive at e100, a big processing company which works mostly in Europe and Asia. We build processing platforms for different fleet companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with DatBI?

We needed business consulting services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DatBI did BI and big data consulting for us. We had a lot of data and were working with different systems, so it was hard for us to create one good data warehouse. We worked with DatBI to create one data warehouse for all departments in data transformation to prepare good dashboards.

Regarding technologies, we used Azure Cloud, Power BI, Miro, Excel, SQL, and .Net.

I worked with three developers, one data science, and one project manager from their team.

We spent around $20,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September 2020–February 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

DatBI did not only help us reach a new level of data working, but they created a full-flight internal product in the form of a BI showcase. They made for us a direct product that everybody can use, which is a central data-driving product in the entire company.

Thanks to their work, we've increased the speed of our processes. Also, with ticketing, we decreased our response time by five times; previously, the response time was two or two and a half days, and now it's half a day. Also, we decreased our attrition for two years from 15% to 10%.

How did DatBI perform from a project management standpoint?

They were able to meet deadlines and stayed within budget. We used to have a stand-up every morning via Zoom or Google Meet, but I could reach out to their project manager even at night when I had pressing issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They turned our understanding of analytics in the digital transformation process upside down and added more value than we expected in our work with data and analytics.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It'd be good if they had more developers.

Any advice for potential customers?

I advise anyone to work with DatBI; they're a cool team, very professional, and they work very fast.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am a .Net Developer with a lot of experience acted as a team leader on the project. Work in a company that provides and implements product solutions for business.

For what projects/services did your company hire DatBI?

Our task was to increase the usefulness of the product through the creation of visual reports that could help the user use our product more efficiently.

DatBI was hired to create value in the form of dashboards within internal product blocks. DatBi created report layouts and also advised the team on business value data.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

This company was recommended by our customers (who bought our main product). After the first call, we immediately realized that these guys know their business and there was confidence in the implementation of the project.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

At the first stage, they got acquainted with the product documentation and asked questions about the data model (3-5 calls) Over the next month, they prepared 3 proposals for the visualization and implementation process. The rest of the time they spent on development and testing, the implementation process went quickly and pleasantly surprised us.

We communicated with 4 people; Project Manager, two Date Engineers, and a Designer

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In post-implementation post-implementation NPS, we saw an increase in good reviews with three focusing on data understanding and usability.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Everything was clear and fast. The team worked professionally and harmoniously.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were very surprised by how the guys could draw conclusions from the data and how their tools highlight insiders in our product, which we thought we knew better than them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There is no limit to perfection. I have no comments on all parameters of work.

We’ve hired DatBi to provide us expertise in advanced data analytics and visualisation for one of our ongoing customers, as we’re having lack of experience in that area

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We got recommendation from on of our partners, after short discussion we’ve realised that they have enough experience to implement our requirements. One of deciding factors was that DatBi could start working on our project immediately and the cost.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

At the first stage, they analysed the data model of the platform and had a 3-hour call with product manager at customers side regarding goals and objectives. Then during next two weeks, guys made 2 examples of visualisation where we choose the most relevant and provided feedback. At the next stages, the development was fully completed implemented, tests were carried out and also they presented the full technical documentation

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’ve build dashboards which give our customers more advanced understanding in existing platform data, currently trying to make this functionality more adapt to end users and sell it as feature of enterprise subscription

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Basically, everything went quite smooth as guys are definitely professionals and had a similar experience, looks it was easy for them to understand and implement our needs

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

In general I was expecting that it will take more time, so was impressed first of all of delivery timings

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

So far so good. Honestly, can’t provide that kind of feedback, as we were working for quite short period of time, maybe that would be more visible at more complex solutions.

I’m the CEO of LIM Services, a supply chain company. We buy different products and resell them in our region. We’ve been in business for over 50 years, so we have an extensive database of clients and orders.

What challenge were you trying to address with DatBI?

All the data wasn’t being appropriately collected. It was hard to understand what was happening. We needed someone to do some dashboards for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DatBI provided data consulting and engineering services. We initially had a meeting with them; we told them we wanted a dashboard to see all the clients. We wanted it structured so we could see which clients were still active. Also, we needed help determining where we could find more clients. They immediately understood what we wanted. Then, we signed an NDA, and they started to work with all this data.

They showed us the first results, which were some dashboards, graphics, and diagrams to separate all the clients. We could see where we got most of our money.

My main point of contact was with the CEO. I was also in contact with another colleague.

Some people from university told me about them.

We spent $6,000.

We worked together from February–April 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We implemented everything they gave us, and it’s been time-saving for our company. We have all the information we need on those structured dashboards.

How did DatBI perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was great. They kept to timelines and were accessible and available. We mainly spoke Ukrainian and communicated via Google Meet and chat messages. Additionally, we used Telegram and a Trello dashboard.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The experience was great. I highly recommend them. Although they weren’t a big company, they had excellent communication. Moreover, their ability to help us in our situation was impressive — they did a fantastic job in data and dashboard engineering.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything was fine.

Make valid requests and get all the information you want to receive from them. They understand what they’re doing and what you should receive.
