Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CEO of our start-up IT company. We are a small start-up company with approximately 10 employees. We are focused on creating software applications in the health space.

For what projects/services did your company hire DataPyramid?

Our company created a software application for the detection of skin diseases. We eventually grew past the point whereby dermatologists were employed to read the skin diseases images and we needed to move to an Artificial Intelligence platform for identifying the skin disorders. Data Pyramid trained multiple skin disease recognition models with computer vision techniques. We then developed android and apple mobile apps for this application and Data Pyramid integrated the disease recognition models with the mobile apps.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Data Pyramid as our vendor based on the excellent recommendations which we received from colleagues who had used their services.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

• First: We developed the initial platform using dermatology doctors as the ones who read the images of skin disorders and gave us a diagnosis
• Second: As our traffic grew, the traffic was too much for the dermatology doctors to handle.

Our users were waiting for a long time for the answers. Therefore, we decided that we needed a computer-based diagnostic system to make the determination of the diagnosis so that our users would not have to wait for a long time for a dermatology doctor to read the images. Data Pyramid has been excellent in helping us to achieve this goal.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Their CTO as well as their primary AI (Artificial Intelligence) person has worked with our CTO on this project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is going well. We have obtained the required number of images needed in order to increase the accuracy of the model that Data Pyramid created, and we are on the way to completion of this project.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between our company and Data Pyramid has been excellent. They are very prompt to answer all our queries - even on weekends and holidays.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Most impressive about Data Pyramid is the quality that they bring to the project. Their professionalism and the integrity that their team has consistently demonstrated are second to none.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are very happy with Data Pyramid. They have done a good job for us so far. Our project is not yet completed, but thus far we are very happy with the work that they have done for us.

I'm the founder of Destinverse Ltd., a beauty products company.

What challenge were you trying to address with DataPyramid?

We needed a partner who specialized in machine learning technology and with the ability to understand medical genetic information.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DataPyramid created an AI infrastructure for our product and gave us instructions and reports on how we should handle it. The first part has been completed and delivered, and currently, we're making plans for the second development phase.

What is the team composition?

I have one main contact from their end, and he has a team of people working for him.

How did you come to work with DataPyramid?

I found them on Upwork, and luckily, DataPyramid had the right combination of consulting intelligence we needed.

How much have you invested in them?

So far, we've spent around $28,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

I began working with them in June 2022, and the engagement is still ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Through their work, they helped me design the flow of collaborating genetics with machine learning, the infrastructure, and how we should attack the issues my app is trying to solve for users. As of now, we don't have any metrics because we're about to develop the platform, but the theory and infrastructure algorithm are magnificent, and we are still building on their suggestions.

How did DataPyramid perform from a project management standpoint?

It's easy to communicate with them, and everything has been going smoothly. Regarding tools and communication, we use Dropbox for file storage and Zoom for meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My contact point is very knowledgeable in understanding the medical and machine learning worlds. When I try to explain an idea, it is easy for him to understand my goal and can suggest the right solution for me because he understands the market, so his suggestions are relevant. Moreover, they tell us their thoughts with a theory behind them, which I like because they think things through and then explain why they suggest something with either a business or an algorithm flow.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their pricing is on the higher side, so I can only use them for consulting. I think it'd be smoother for us if they could complete what they suggest, but their price point is over what I can afford.
