We hired Data Pivot Consulting to help us design an automated Microsoft Power BI reporting solution.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Data Pivot Consulting merged source data from multiple Microsoft Excel sheets, set up a drop-folder workflow so new files were picked up and the dashboards refreshed automatically, and built out the measures and visuals to track patient volume, cancellation rates, and trends across offices by day, week, and month. We ran a series of interactive working sessions where they walked us through DAX measures, time-intelligence calculations, table relationships, chart design, and data modeling best practices.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of the dashboards improved significantly, report performance was optimized, and several complex reporting requirements that had previously been difficult to implement were completed successfully. Their recommendations also helped establish better Power BI development practices for future projects.

How did Data Pivot Consulting perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was excellent. Deliverables were consistently completed on time, communication was clear, and they were responsive whenever questions or changes came up. We primarily communicated through Microsoft Teams, virtual meetings, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their depth of Power BI knowledge was exceptional. They understood advanced DAX, complex data modeling, Power Query, report optimization, security, and integrations with a wide variety of data sources. Beyond their technical expertise, they were hardworking, detail-oriented, and always willing to explore multiple approaches until the best solution was found. It was clear they had extensive real-world Power BI experience rather than just theoretical knowledge.
