I’m the CTO and co-founder of an edtech company. We provide online homeschooling solutions through an interactive, custom-built learning management system designed to enhance remote education for students, parents, and educators.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cytrom Tech?

We hired Cytrom Tech to design and develop a fully customized learning management system (LMS) tailored specifically for our online homeschooling platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cytrom Tech managed the entire development lifecycle of our custom online homeschooling LMS. Their scope included system planning and UI/UX design, front-end development using React Native with interactive modules (videos, quizzes, games, time-gated lessons), and back-end development with Node.js and PostgreSQL.

Their work also included creating admin and parent dashboards with detailed progress tracking, AI integration for auto-generated student summaries, and a secure login system using Firebase Auth with role-based access. Finally, they deployed the system on AWS with SSL encryption, provided technical documentation, and conducted training sessions.

The main deliverables were a fully functional custom LMS platform, an interactive learning module library, an AI-powered reporting system, hosting setup with credentials, and ongoing maintenance and support.

Cytrom Tech assigned a team of six members to our project, including a project manager, two front-end developers, a back-end developer, a UI/UX designer, and a QA engineer. The team was well-coordinated and maintained consistent communication throughout the project.

The measurable outcomes from our project with Cytrom Tech included a 100% functional custom LMS delivered on time, matching all technical and educational requirements, and over 300 students onboarded within the first month of launch.

Moreover, student engagement improved through interactive modules and time-gated lessons. For instance, 82% of students completed their assigned modules on time, compared to less than 50% before. Student quiz scores improved by 25% on average due to interactive learning formats. The average time spent per module increased from 12 minutes to 21 minutes, indicating higher engagement.

On top of that, 90% of parents reported better visibility into their child’s progress through the dashboard and AI-generated summaries. The administrator reporting efficiency improved by 40%, reducing manual tracking efforts. Overall, the platform significantly enhanced learning engagement and monitoring capabilities.

We also received positive feedback from both teachers and parents on the ease of use and AI-generated progress summaries. These results clearly reflected the platform’s effectiveness and the project’s overall success.

Additionally, their use of modern tools like AI for progress tracking and their ability to balance creativity with technical execution made the experience truly unique.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, the project was a success. However, if there’s one area for improvement, it would be more frequent user testing during the development phase. While the final product met all our expectations, early feedback from actual users (students and parents) could have helped fine-tune some UI/UX elements sooner. That said, the team was quick to address any feedback once shared.
