Create a 2-page website that is colourful, dynamic and professional using copy, videos and images provided, provide hosting and an easy mechanism for updates. Website should provide customers with the options to contact me using various methods. Timeline was approximately 6 weeks with first draft within 2 weeks.

They were attentive, detail-oriented, patient and perfectionistic. Feedback, advice and responses were instant. From the first conversation with Crushing Cones, I felt I found the perfect partnership to build my website. They quickly attained a deep understanding of the company vision and embraced it wholeheartedly in the website build. I appreciated their willingness to be experimental by trying some unconventional techniques. All promises were kept and timelines met.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Most impressive to me is the perfect partnership between the co-owners. They are friends who know each others' strengths and how to capitalize on them. It's an amazing example of teamwork that never left me, the client feel as if communication was disjointed. They compliment each other so well that there are no gaps in their collective skills. They were able to make me feel understood through exemplary client-focus.

I also loved the honesty. Being transparent allowed me to see what was realistic and what else was possible! Innovation and experimentation are big attributes too. The result was a webiste that is highly customized without a hint of templates or "cookie-cutter" design.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Crushing Cones could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind.

For what projects/services did your company hire Crushing Cones, and what were your goals?

I hired Crushing Cones to design and develop our website and recruitment dashboard.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I interviewed a few connections from a Toronto startup event I participated in and eventually narrowed it down to Crushing Cones based on their design portfolio.

Started with a few meetings to provide them with my vision for the platform and the front/back end I wanted to achieve. Alvin and his team were knowledgeable and provided frequent updates along the development process. We went through a number of iterations mid-development and I appreciated their patience as we worked through it all.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with Alvin in the first half for the design and Narius who led the development and infrastructure side of things later on.

They did a great job with our website and delivered a complete recruitment dashboard and job board.

Some of my requirements for the project were quite challenging and I was impressed by how versatile the team was. There’s nothing they can’t do.

Nothing that comes to mind.

I am the founder and lead developer of an AR mobile app.

For what projects/services did your company hire Crushing Cones?

We approached Crushing Cones to help us build and define the UI/UX of the first iteration of our AR mobile app.

How did you select this vendor?

They were recommended to us by the organizer of a networking event.

After discussing the scope of the project, the team at crushing cones researched and presented potential design directions. From our feedback, their team built out the UX structure of our app and started developing a UI prototype. From here, we conducted diligent research and made necessary changes from the feedback.

We worked with the lead designer (Alvin) who I mostly corresponded with and his team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The end result was a design framework that our mobile team could incorporate into the mobile app.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Alvin was great to deal with and provided me with multiple weekly progress updates. I liked how our meetings were brief and to the point.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their design work was quite impressive for an industry that isn't quite mainstream at this point.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No issues from our end. Expectations were made clear from the start.

I was looking to create a new website as my business started today grow.

I found Crushing Cones through word of mouth and due to them being based in my area.

We started off with discussing my requirements which include logo, website and branding. After the initial drafts, I provided my feedback and we finalized the project.

In total it was two people. One designer and a developer.

Crushing Cones did an amazing job with my branding and website design. The outcome was a clean, professional looking design which increased my sites traffic and got more people interested in my services.

Communication was smooth with the team and were quick to respond and follow up.

What I found impressive was how well they brought my vision to life. From the branding colors to the visual assets, everything was thought out really well.
