Coles Technical Group reviewed our existing technology environment and how we were making technology decisions across the business. The work included identifying gaps and risks, reviewing our current systems and vendors, and helping us understand where we needed clearer ownership and direction. They provided recommendations, prioritized what needed attention, and developed a practical roadmap for moving forward. Kevin also gave us senior-level guidance on technology decisions and explained the reasoning behind his recommendations in a way that was easy for leadership to understand.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project gave us a documented set of technology priorities and a clear roadmap for what needed to happen next. We identified risks and gaps that had not previously been visible to leadership, clarified ownership around key technology decisions, and were able to prioritize which issues needed immediate attention versus what could be addressed later. The biggest measurable outcome was moving from making technology decisions reactively to having a defined plan and priorities we could actually work against.

Kevin was organized, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the project. He communicated clearly about what he was working on and delivered everything when he said he would. When we had questions or needed to talk through a decision, he took the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish instead of just giving us a technical answer. We always knew where things stood and what the next step was.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What stood out most was Kevin’s ability to look at technology from both the technical and business side. He wasn’t trying to sell us a particular product or push us toward a predetermined solution. He took the time to understand why we operated the way we did, challenged some of our assumptions, and gave us straightforward recommendations based on what made sense for the business. That independent perspective was extremely valuable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Coles Technical Group could have done differently?

Nothing significant comes to mind. The scope and expectations were clear from the beginning, communication was consistent, and we got what we needed from the engagement. I wouldn’t point to anything that should have been handled differently.
