BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of a company that manages homeowners associations. We manage around 70 accounts for 8,000 homes in Tucson, Arizona, the Southern Arizona areas, and a few in Northern Arizona.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Cole Technologies?

We were in need of IT services. At the time, we weren’t happy with our provider and needed to upgrade our network.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cole Technologies provides us with managed IT services. We have a contract for a certain number of hours a month. They provide both on-site and off-site support. 

They’ve upgraded our network and suggested software that would better fit our organization. Whenever they install software or hardware, Cole Technologies provides us with options of what we might be able to use. The team has also helped us replace all of our internal workstations and installed new cameras for us. 

Recently, parts of our office flooded over the weekend due to a plumbing issue, including the network closet. Cole Technologies checked all of the equipment and discovered the damage. The team put in different equipment to keep us running and showed us what was wrong. Since Cole Technologies has set up our network so that our data backs up on the cloud, they were able to retrieve all the data, though they couldn’t save all the equipment. 

Currently, Cole Technologies is in the development stage of a new project for us. 

What is the team composition?

I deal directly with one point of contact from Cole Technologies. Although I’m unsure what the team composition is, I’ve had contact with 3–4 other teammates. 

How did you come to work with Cole Technologies?

Our CEO found Cole Technologies. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent a little over $300,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in August 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re very happy with Cole Technologies’ service; they’ve done a good job for us. When our office flooded, they responded to the issue that same day even though it was a Sunday. They ensured we were up and running and helped us respond to our insurance company. We’ve been in business for 22 years and have worked with several IT providers, and this is the first time we’re thrilled with the service we’re getting. I’m excited about the new projects Cole Technologies is doing for us.

I don’t have IT expertise, so I want someone I can count on that will do the best for our company at the best possible price. I trust Cole Technologies to get us what we need and what’s best for our company. Moreover, my account department and staff all think the team is wonderful. 

How did Cole Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very quick to work. We communicate via texts, phone calls, and emails. No matter which channel we use, Cole Technologies responds to us within 20 minutes. For example, my point of contact was recently at training out of town when I emailed him with some questions for when he came back. Instead, he called me during his break, going above and beyond. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with my point of contact at Cole Technologies. He always answers and is very patient. I’m not a technical person, and when it comes to buying equipment, he sits down to give me the options for the best dollar value. While other providers might drop a brochure, Cole Technologies is patient and knowledgeable. Overall, we’re very happy with them and have referred them to many other companies. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything for Cole Technologies to improve. Although my point of contact is spread thin, we’re really pleased with his work and can’t say enough good things about him.
