Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the director of a startup that produces software to aid automotive retail businesses. Our first product is a logistics-based application.

What challenge were you trying to address with Codobux?

We wanted to create the first prototype of the app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked in iOS and Swift to help with the administrative and data part of the backend. There was also some web-based software. We’re now in the final stages of development. They also produced the application itself.

What is the team composition?

Ankit (Co-Founder, Codobux) is our main contact. He’s very helpful. took my basic plan and she gave that to the main team and they worked on thing v quickly. very easy people to deal with.

How did you come to work with Codobux?

They were a recommendation from a friend, who saw them advertised on Fiverr. I’d started to develop the software but only had basic knowledge of code. I decided it would be so much easier to outsource, so I checked them out. They had good reviews on Fiverr and seemed trustworthy, so I made contact and ran them through what I wanted.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $10,000 USD at this point.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since mid-April 2019. It took about two months to get that first prototype we could test, and there have been lots of finetuning and changing things since.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve been testing it with a UK team all the way through, and it’s been very good. The latest element isn’t yet completed, but the prototype app has worked fantastic—better than I anticipated.

How did Codobux perform from a project management standpoint?

Their turnaround is very quick and they have been helpful all the way through. Contact has been amazing; someone is there to respond at all hours.

I speak to my main contact things and he communicates what I said to the main team of developers. Ankit and I manage the project together. He always seems to be there on Skype and email. As a rule, everything has been done to the timeframes I set. There were a couple of minor delays, but nothing major at all.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Initially, we were looking for a development team in the UK or US, but Codobux responded quickly and got the ball rolling quickly. Everyone I talked to in the UK and US seemed reluctant or busy. I couldn’t pin them down on an appointment. It was a total contrast going to Codobux; no request was too big.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

I really don’t think so. We haven’t had a single issue. There was a communication breakdown with one or two requests, which weren’t quite understood how I wanted, but we ironed them out quickly. There wasn’t really any drama, so I don’t have much to say.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s hard to say. The way we’ve done everything seems to have worked.
