BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m running a business called ShareACar in India. ShareACar is a service where we try to provide real-time ride-sharing options for commuters who have to commute daily from their home location to their work location. We try to provide them an alternate mode of transport in terms of pooling the empty cars together to provide an alternate, affordable, and cheaper commuting option. We partnered with CodeYeti as our tech partner to help us create the Android app update. I am the CEO.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with CodeYeti?

I have a certain tech background. We had this idea, and I started to work on the app myself. Then, I realized without any extensive tech experience it would be hard for me. That is when I started searching and found CodeYeti. We were trying to come up with the wireframes and final end-product design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The scope was the designing of the app – the UI and UX. Also, the back-end and the front-end of the app. The app is up and running smoothly.

How much have you invested with CodeYeti?

It was $17,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I engaged them just last week [September 2016] to try to come up with a solution for an issue that I had.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

In general, the guys have been good. Initially, I had some issues with their availability, which kind of delayed the project.

How did CodeYeti perform from a project management standpoint?

Not very great because instead of you being in touch with someone from their team I was, in fact, contacting them. I was the one that was managing that team instead of a manager from CodeYeti.
