What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As I write this, we are only about 50 days into our collaboration with CodeSeek, so many of the tasks we have planned have not been completed yet. However, we are very pleased with the developer's in-depth front-end expertise. He independently fixes bugs in our front-end and refactors our code as he works his way through our code-base, improving the performance of our app and building a foundation for future advancements.

CodeSeek has always delivered on time. Both our account manager as well as the developer communicate clearly, reliably, and timely.

Our goals require both front-end and back-end expertise. In the first stage, it skews more towards front end, whereas in the second stage, both front-end and back-end expertise will be required. CodeSeek offers us an arrangement where we can have an experienced frontend specialist and dedicated backend developers working full-time on our project or pitching in as needed to reach our goals.

We had an intensive interview period for this project, but when we contacted CodeSeek we were impressed with communication, availability and recent experience that was helpful in our project.

When we started we needed to recreate clone of old system and fill it with new features and on this part everything was fantastic, they did responsive design and tested application on several real devices to make sure everything works the best. Afterwards we needed to migrate bigger part of system that was hard tied with games inside of application under close deadline. CodeSeek provided fantastic communication and empathy, they brought solution that helped us to meet all deadlines and even have time for testing application.

We started working with CEO Oleg and Front-end developer Ruslan, afterwards CTO was also on several calls and helped with several architectural decisions that made a great improve in our progress. Currently we expanded team on one more Front-end developer and working close with them.

CodeSeek integrated into our development team and agile processes completely. They participated in requirements gathering, design, development, review, testing and deployment providing invaluable expertise at every level. Deliverables were provided as expected each day, each sprint, each iteration. Technologies utilised were across the entire platform, including but not limited to, Java, Springboot, Javascript, Typescript, Angular, Kafka, Elastic, Postgres, Redis, Selenium, Docker, Linux, AWS.

CodeSeek provided 1 Senior Software Engineer and 1 QA Engineer into our development team. They worked with existing developers seamlessly inside our scrum team and we are investigating scaling up further.

Since CodeSeek joined our team our platform is both more robust and more feature rich. Our ability to seamlessly scale up/down depending on load has increased dramatically, efficiencies were also made to various micro-services increasing capacity before auto-scaling comes into effect. Further, core CX features have added conversational abilities to our A.i and state-machine that allow more personalised and realistic user interactions.

CodeSeek participated in our daily stand-ups, ticket grooming sessions, sprint planning and roadmap reviews. All necessary work was appropriately logged to Trello, GitHub and ZenHub in a timely manner. Communication was continuous and consistent via Slack.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Syndeo Platform uses a wide range of technologies to provide the best quality and value to our customers and their customers. Consequently, we did not expect CodeSeek to be proficient in each from the beginning. However, their ability to get up to speed on any required technologies, including best practices and recommendations was a pleasant and welcome surprise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

As with any team, sometimes features may take longer than anticipated but any estimates that were too low at point of grooming were quickly raised and rectified with appropriate rescheduling and planning occurring. Often this was counter-balanced by different tickets coming under estimate but raising any problems mid-sprint was always taken at the earliest opportunity.

Consequently, I can say that no area for improvement was noticed as even if anything went wrong, it was put right with appropriate urgency.
