We identified the most time consuming process for ad management of almost 1000 franchise locations on paid social advertising. We worked with HackTech to outline the process and build an internal software to automate huge portions of it saving hundreds of hours a month in labor. 

We also developed complex reporting technology to be able to report on ad objects across markets, locations, states, etc.

The scope of work involved creating a custom platform with integrated community building features, event fetching from Eventbrite, and support for 8 hand-translated languages using WordPress CMS. Additionally, a custom Miro integration needed to be implemented through the DiscordJS bot building framework to enable whiteboard features within the Discord community building platform. The key deliverables of the project included design and branding, development of the platform, and quality assurance. The design and branding deliverable included creating a unique visual identity for the platform that aligned with our vision and brand guidelines. The development of the platform included implementing community building features using available Discord embedding features, integrating event fetching from Eventbrite, and ensuring support for multiple languages. To ensure the quality of the platform, rigorous testing was conducted to identify and resolve any bugs or issues that administrators and maintainers could have faced. Finally, the work was handed over to the respective technical personnel in our project team to manage ongoing maintenance and updates to the platform.

The measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success include meeting a hard deadline to deliver and present the project's platform to the European Commission, receiving positive feedback from all 9 project consortium stakeholders, and achieving significant user engagement metrics. Specifically, the platform received 5.2k visitors in the 90 days since launch, 120 web search clicks, and attracted over 150 community members.

These outcomes suggest that the project was successful in meeting its goals and objectives and has the potential to continue to grow and expand its user base and engagement in the future.

Overall, their project management approach was effective and efficient. They delivered most of the key deliverables on time and were able to address any issues or concerns that arose in a timely and professional manner. They also demonstrated a willingness to respond to our needs, often providing alternative solutions that proved to be more effective than our original plans. In terms of handling project timelines and deadlines, they were able to meet our expectations for the most part.

However, there were a few instances where delays occurred due to unforeseen technical challenges or other external factors. In these cases, they were proactive in communicating the issues and worked diligently to find solutions that would allow them to meet our deadlines. Overall, their project management approach was effective and demonstrated a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

As this was my first time working with an external web development vendor, I didn't have any previous experience to compare it with. However, I was impressed with their fast and efficient communication. They were always responsive to our needs and willing to provide alternative solutions to any challenges that arose during the project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Mediapark could have done differently?

While Mediapark delivered most of the project deliverables on time and responded well to our needs, we did experience some issues with the quality assurance process. Because we had a tight deadline, we had to conduct a significant amount of manual quality assurance on our side. In the future, we would like to see more thorough and nuanced quality assurance from Mediapark to catch bugs and issues that could have been picked up by their QA team rather than our internal team. This would have saved us time and ensured a smoother launch of the platform.

I guess it would be best to call Mediapark management style democratic. We shared thoughts, ideas and suggestions with each other to make a quality product together. They did’t press with their expertise, but always listened to us.

The communication tools were chosen those that are convenient for us - Skype, email and Slack. The deadlines were not missed, and if they were postponed a little, it was always for an obvious reason.
