Christian is a great web designer, and consistently provided updates 2-3 times a week. His communication about potential delays was clear and reliable. He was also able to handle any curveballs that I threw at him unexpectedly and with great professionalism.

I am the Owner and Director of Velocity Video Post, LLC., a production powerhouse company specializing in the post-production phase of filmmaking.

One of our clients came to us with a story she had been working on that she based on recent life events and wanted it recreated as an anniversary gift for her husband. We typically stick to the editing and post-production side of filmmaking and didn't have the crew or tools to capture the specifics she had in mind. Her story was great and unlike any we had done before which made us feel even more compelled to find a way to make this film happen and continue building our portfolio.

We discovered Social Velocity MKTG during an online webinar and they caught our eye for obvious reasons. We reached out to introduce ourselves as a fairly new business looking to connect with likeminded industry folk. When this client came to us not long thereafter, we reached out to a them first to see if they'd be interested in working with us as an extension needed for a full on production and they agreed.

The story and a loose script were already made so what we needed most was a way to bring that story to life and in a way that felt real and personable and tasteful. The team went a few steps further and suggested a few minor changes to the script, pointing out the potential paths the store could take to really amp up certain scenes. The client loved the ideas and from there we just let the creative process run its course as waited to screen the raw footage to be edited.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The only outcome that can be measured with client projects is by their level of satisfaction with the finished product. And in this case, we could also measure success from an editing perspective, once we were given what they had created, imaginatively and physically. On both fronts, the Social Velocity team really delivered.

Christian and Maggie did a great job of keeping my job in the loop and can organize some serious notes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their adaptiveness was pretty impressive. Best way I can describe it is the show Animorphs, except as filmmakers. The amount of manpower and resources fluctuate from minute to hour when the need arise and seems to work well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Don't we all have areas we can improve on? I'm sure there are, but none that I personally can speak to.

Social Velocity MKTG was tasked with enhancing the Plaza Hotel's online presence and as a consequence, ultimately increase revenues collected from the hotel's online channels. All while practicing safety first measures during COVID-19, of course,

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were referred to us through a network connection. We contacted them and set up a virtual meeting, where they came prepared with an incredible presentation and PowerPoint, complete with content samples for mock campaigns, strategy ideas, and refreshing energy.

Our main goal here was to increase overall e-commerce revenue but we knew a lot had to be done to get there since nobody had really ever established or "owned' the hotel's digital strategy. From our main objective, the team created three goals that must be completed in order to realistically achieve the objective. Those three goals were to increase website traffic, increase social media following and engagement and increase the annual e-commerce revenue.

And lastly, from there they determined the game plan and what they presented as the initial scope of work. It included a comprehensive social media strategy and e-commerce marketing plan, a 2+ minute promo commercial for the hotel, a complete re-design of the hotel's website, and a few other content and strategy-related ideas. I approved almost all of the items listed on the SOW and gave them the thumbs up to get started on everything.

I worked with the owner and a couple of freelancers. All super kind, helpful, and clearly knew what they were up against!

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The first Measurements were taken upon completion earlier this year. Being nearly a year into the start of the rebrand, I was so pleased with the YoY results it prompted me to leave them a glowing review! Social media following over the last year has increased 95%, website traffic has increased 12% and overall e-commerce revenue is up 9%.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Perfect! It was a really great synergy and we just loved their energy whenever they were around.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was worried being a small team that they were biting off more than they could chew with how much work needed to be done. We did have time or room for error, but these guys got to it full steam ahead and made it all seem like a walk in the park, I was very impressed.

I just hope they are able to continue to grow their team and the company even more... then they will be untouchable!

The Sak's Spring product launch was set to be a unique process with pandemic-related limitations, most importantly keeping the health and safety of our teammates in mind.

For this launch, we needed merchandise captured in both still image and video as we were planning a social media campaign more dynamic than in previous years. We consulted with a few different agencies to get an idea of not only their technical capabilities, but their capabilities under the restraints we faced and their ability to complete a project in a safe and successful manner.

When we met with Christian and the Social Velocity MKTG team via Zoom, they had already considered the limitations we faced and had incorporated their ideas for a workaround into their initial pitch. We were delighted by the thought and detail they had given to an element of the project they weren't even aware was so important to us and paramount in choosing the right team.

As it turns out, they gave that much thought and detail to every other aspect of the project and by the end of our meeting we were most impressed by the team.

We setup another meeting a week before the shoot to lay out our vision along with our marketing team. We went through the product to be featured in the launch and what each bag's story was as this was key to executing the narrative we envisioned.

We were in contact almost daily in the days to follow and they had some really great ideas that helped to further elevate our initial ideas and our overall creative dynamic made the whole week that much easier.

It was a minimal shoot with just two members of the Social Velocity team as well as myself, my assistant, and the Marketing Director on site and based on my personal experience with photo and video shoots, it was a fairly smooth and quick process. All the footage we needed was captured within an hour or so and we ended up with far more than we needed.

Much like during the pre-production phase, we were in touch with the team almost every day during post-production, and I have to say, this is where they really shined the most. The creativity was very impressive and the video edits ended up being better than what I had even imagined.

It took them a few extra days to finish editing than we had planned, but when my team and I went over all of the designed assets we were glad for it and very pleased with the results.

I worked with Christian, the Creative Director and Brian who was also a delight to work with. We communicated very frequently throughout the span of working together and it was easy to bounce ideas off each other and workshop different ideas. They took the direction we gave them very well and handled what little critiques and criticism I had with professionalism.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The social media campaign was a huge success from an engagement standpoint, likely one of our most engaged in recent years, and there's no denying that the content played a part in that. Also, by the end of the first week of the campaign, we beat projections on a few of the new products by double digits. Overall it was a successful campaign!

They were punctual and attentive during every meeting we had and well-organized with thoughts and planning which I really appreciated. Their communication skills are also top-notch. Whether through email, text, Zoom or phone, they were great with keeping us in the loop every step of the way and running new ideas by us as they thought of them.

I think it's wild that they have such undeniable creative eyes and logical, strategic minds. I think that is very much attributed to the quality of work they deliver and such a gift to work with!

Nothing. We are planning to work on another project with them in the near future but based on what I've experienced, I'm certain I can expect continued professionalism and true talents In their craft.
