Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project never started. In fact i attempted to get a refund from this company of the $5,645 that they charged to initialize the project 2 days after signing the contract and realizing they were engaged in FRAUDULENT activities and misrepresenting themselves on their company site

Never got to this step. As I mentioned, I believe this company to be a SCAM company.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Absolutely Nothing. Aside from their ability to sell themselves through deception and false promises. Their website is full of lies and misrepresentation. They refused to give me a refund after having done absolutely no work for me.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No lie about who they are and not scam people out of their hard earned money. - their testimonials... lies... none of those people exist - their portfolios... lies... they did not contribute to those apps - they refuse to show their faces in google video meetings - poor communication skills once contract signed and money received

It is unfortunate that our healthy business relation side tracked soon after your request for a refund was declined by our legal team due to the reason provided (change of mind) not meeting the eligibility criteria of the refund policy. 
While it is commendable that you decided to develop the app yourself, we wish you had acted upon it before signing up with us rather than changing your mind days after the project had already kicked off and while our designers were already working on it.
Having said that, customer experience is our utmost priority, we will take your feedback into consideration and make ammends to our operations if necessary.

We started a 4-month project with Celect Studios, and now 15 months later, we’re still stuck. We’ve gone through three project managers and two sales reps, none of whom are still with the company. We’re $20,000 in with little to no progress in the last 10 months. They constantly push for payments and make us sign “approval” documents just to continue development. Promised fixes and design elements keep getting deferred to “beta,” which seems to be a stalling tactic.

Our own project manager, Sam from Texas, told us that 60% of the staff was gone and that the company couldn’t finish the project. He even suggested we contact legal for a refund due to their repeated contract breaches. However, legal denied our request, citing documents we signed under pressure just to move to the next project phase — documents signed back in December of last year! Now, 14 months later, we have nothing more than what we saw back then.

We were promised delivery in August 2024, but there’s no sign of anything even close to an alpha version, let alone a final product. Legal has stopped responding, and they’ve sent us a new contract with terms that were again broken. We suspect that Sam is running a one-man operation and outsourcing to third parties. He may even be pretending to be legal and answering calls to their mainline with a simple “Hello?”

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Celect Studios. In the time we’ve waited for our project, three competing apps have launched, all of which we could’ve beaten to market if Celect Studios had delivered as promised. They’ve missed every deadline, broken every promise, but had no trouble taking all of our money. If I could give zero stars, it would still be too generous.
