BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

NYCI is the representative body for voluntary youth organisations in Ireland. We use our collective expertise to act on issues that impact on young people. I am the Climate Justice and Youth Development Officer in NYCI. I've been working with a dedicated group of young people on Climate Justice initiatives that matter to them.

The most recent initiative was Ireland's first Climate Justice Charter.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Cat Media , and what were your goals?

We worked with Cat Media to create an animated video that explains the Climate Justice Charter. We wanted to disseminate the video on social media to gauge interest from organisations and institutions across Ireland to become signatories of the charter. This would mean embedding the seven Climate Justice Principles listed in the charter into their organisation.

The video from Cat Media would be most people's first stop at learning about the Charter, so we wanted it to be accessible, colourful, and have a strong CTA.

SOLUTION

How did you select Cat Media and what were the deciding factors?

I have worked with Cat Media before in previous job roles and always found them to be professional and easy to work with. They are also a good price for both the speed and quality of their work, and have a good work and moral ethic - creating supportive and educational videos for many similar NGO's and non-profits.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

We started with meetings to gauge our desired aims and outcomes of this video. We created personas for our target audience and Cat Media presented us with a 'mood board' to see if they were getting the feeling of the video right. We than began working with Cat Media on a script that would include a strong CTA at the end of the video.

Once the script was done, Cat Media took over and created a first draft, which we were delighted with but had a few edits. Cat Media amended all of our suggested edits, and the second draft was accepted as the final piece. The final video was 4 minutes long. Cat Media then returned to the video and cut it into a 1 minute bite-sized clip that we could use on social media, and included some stills from the video that we could use as graphics on social platforms also.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked mainly with Indira and the feedback process was very efficient. All of our queries were responded to within 48 hours.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had a very successful launch of the Climate Justice Charter where we showcased the finished animated video. The feedback on the video was very positive. We are also currently working with over 30 organisations to become charter signatories, and will start to use the shorter social-media video soon to generate more interest.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Our timeline for Cat Media was very tight. We contacted them in late November and needed the main video finalised by early February (with a Christmas/New Years break in the middle). They worked with us very closely to ensure that this was done. I have no doubt that the short deadline was stressful for them, but they managed it incredibly well and we were still left with a wonderful product at the end.

We could feel that there was a lot of care put into this video despite the fat turn-around. We were very impressed with their service.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a very human-centred company. They take into account the challenges that you may face along the creation process and are happy to work with you to ensure that you are getting the best service for the money you've paid. I've always been impressed with their friendliness and professionalism take on their services.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing to be improved on our end - they're always a pleasure to work with.

My company helps to optimize colour and material changes during plastic manufacturing processes. I help to generate leads and turns them into new customers.

They have all the solutions we were looking for under the same roof while meeting our CEO high expectations.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

They helped us to come up with a content strategy focused in all the stages of the customer journey. Then created blogpost, 3D videos, support pages, content offers, landing pages based on our goals. Apart that we started ranking in the first page in Google, our website looked as we were the best solution in the market. Based on what they made look like, we started to believe we are!

What was the team composition?

I worked closely with Indira as my account manager (Which is fun to work with whilst very profesional and goal driven) and Juan which is led a team to build up the amazing content that took us to the next level in the industry.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are ranking in the first page of Google with the most important keyword for us. We have increased the number of leads massively through online forms, chat boxes, and email marketing campaigns.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They became an extension of our team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The Wow effect. They always add the details to blow your and your customer minds.

I am absolutely delighted by their service and our results.
