We found them by researching software development agencies online.

They provided an initial proposal for the project which included the main features of the software we would develop and what was required. We then began working together on the project, however we ended up having to do most of the design and feature builds, despite it being something they were responsible for.

About 4-5 people.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project has been delayed many times so far, and we have repeatedly been asked by Capital Numbers to pay extra fees for features that were already included within the initial proposal, but that we did not map out in exact detail. This caused them to come back and submit additional charges for anything that wasn't explicitly mentioned in the proposal, even if it made logical sense, so please be very careful dealing with this agency.

The project manager's main role is to upsell you on services and squeeze more money out of you, which made the interactions very unpleasant.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Nothing.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could honor their agreements when quoting a price for a full end-to-end software development project, and not try to squeeze clients for every penny by constantly upselling or charging for fixes in the software due to bugs caused by poor development in the first place.

It was the worst experience I had with a development company Once I paid them the money on Paypal they hired a freelancer who wasn't working exactly in their company and was working on different projects at the same time. He was working too slowly trying to extend the time to let me pay for more hours I posted a job for Business Analysis of Upworked and the same BA applied to my job there. I was shocked! I asked the company to change him and they hired another freelancer! I got really bad results again I asked to cancel the project and get my refund and they stopped responding to me. They stole the money and stopped responding

They used a useless and strange app at first but I asked to move Slack They assigned a project manager who did exactly nothing!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They hire freelancers and manage them. So I don't know any reason people should work with them. I recommend you hired your own workers and manage them. You will save lots of money, indeed. Working with was the worst experience I had so far

They should be honest and not steal my money They must return my money I paid for nothing

We needed help designing and developing our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

After discussing the requirements with the Capital Numbers team, they designed and developed our website using WordPress and PHP. They’ve developed the front- and backend from scratch designed the UI, and carried out testing. They’ve also enabled the site for mobile use. We’re in the final development phase but plan to engage Capital Numbers for maintenance and hosting services post-launch. 

The site is an e-commerce medical platform. Users can visit our site, create an account, and confirm the account with their phone number. Once they create a profile, they can browse various medicines, upload prescriptions, order lab tests, and schedule appointments. They can also ship medication directly to their homes or schedule a time to pick up their medications in person. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with eight team members from Capital Numbers, including Arghadip (Project Manager), Pragya (Backend Developer), Emmanuel (Frontend Developer), and Santi (QA Analyst). We’ve also worked with a technical lead and design lead. 

How did you come to work with Capital Numbers?

We found Capital Numbers on Google. They had great reviews, so I contacted them to discuss the project. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $22,000 in the project with Capital Numbers.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with Capital Numbers since July 2021, and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t launched the site yet, but it’s about 99% complete, and we’re satisfied with the design and functionality. Capital Numbers has done a great job. 

The site has been very stable throughout this final testing phase, it doesn’t crash when we run automation, and the mobile site works perfectly. The backend is also solid; our changes reflect accordingly whenever we upload products or make adjustments.

How did Capital Numbers perform from a project management standpoint?

Capital Numbers has been very responsive and timely. I’ve changed the requirements and deadlines quite a few times, but they’ve remained flexible throughout the project. 

Our initial project manager left the project after eight months but was responsive up until the very last day. The Capital Numbers team immediately introduced us to Arghadip, who took over the remainder of the project and has been fantastic to work with. Whenever we have queries or emails, he responds within 30 minutes, no matter the time of day. 

We meet every Tuesday and Friday via Zoom to walk through the project, ask questions, and share feedback. We also communicate via email and an internal communication platform. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been most impressed with their ability to execute tasks according to our requirements; they’ve delivered 100% of what we’ve asked for. Capital Numbers has consistently met our deadlines with high-quality results.

Even when I’ve changed the requirements multiple times, they’ve been happy to oblige without pushback. They’ve taken feedback in stride and haven’t charged extra when we’ve asked for changes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Aside from the difference in time zones, which is totally out of their control, I have nothing Capital Numbers could improve on.

Don’t hesitate to hire Capital Numbers. They will deliver high-quality work within your desired timeline.

The "whole" project could not be completed mainly due to legal change in our country that has important impact on our financial. The first part, was completed (Audit of our platform).

We use Teamwork to log and document the work that has been done along the way. Google Chat was used as our main communication tools.

I found that the BA and PM communication and availability were impressive.

The audit/business analysis was quote nicely. The final proposition was not fully convincing for me. The technical proposition was just not enough of details, so the final pricing proposition was not what we've expected from the proposed technical stack. The could be discussed with Capital Number, but as the legal issue we had in our country force us to cancel the project.

The level of development talent in terms of quality of work at the cost provided. It's rare to find both in an offshore development solution

Providing information, advice, and help on all the aspects of the project which we don't understand. I am an engineer, so things like web hosting are a hassle to learn about. Arghadip presented the relevant information in a very understandable way.

The team adopted our communication platforms (email and slack) which was very helpful. The project manager was helpful when we needed him and our developer was brilliant with quick and clear communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Amit, our main developer, went above and beyond to ensure we were hitting our deliverables. He was very responsive and helpful at all times during the project.

The only area that could have been done better in hindsight was the kick-off process. We needed a more thorough talk-through and breakdown of the full project so we could establish a realistic timeframe for the project.

It's particularly the trust relationship with CN management that stands out. If things don't run well at time (that does happen) then there were always options that we discussed to find a way out of the situation.

I'd love to see the average skill set increasing. We need developers who can make complex design decisions. Very few have the necessary formal education required to make good decisions. Our team, however has acquired these skills in the project.

I am the Head of Technology at our manufacturing business who operate multiple ecommerce websites with an omni channel presence across mainstream marketplaces.

Our websites were managed and created by agencies and we took the decision to strategically bring all web development in house. We found that our websites required some heavy maintenance for up-gradation which was not considered by our previous partners.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After trying to source developers via UpWork and other agencies who provide similar services. I was recommended to contact Capital Numbers via our professional network. Our major concern with offshore development teams has always been communication and the diligence of ones company to care about ours. So far Capital Numbers has proved to care and provide any means to help support us in our goals as a business and as a department.

I contacted Capital Numbers and was assigned a business development contact. We discussed our requirements at length and also addresses concerns we had working with previous agencies. We did this several times before we felt reassured. Without any pressure from Capital Numbers they were able to assure us that we could mitigate financial risk of trialling developers as well as being able to deliver something tangible within the first couple of weeks.

We were assigned our project manager Arghadip, and a Technical Lead named Soumitan, whom both have a clear understanding of project management, what our needs are and also what the developers need, for some who's english isn't their native language, both the PM and Tech Lead are able to fill this gap. Our stores are based on Magento and our primary task was to redevelop the stack using the latest packages from Adobe.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After 3 months we have successfully been able to deliver a solution plus have fixed an array of issues as well as developing features that are compatible with Magento 2.3 and 2.4. Although this may be trivial to some, however it says something about the quality of work we receive from Capital Numbers when we brief the developers correctly.

Arghadip is an extremely diligent project manager, every request has been dealt with in a professional and courteous manner. The developers they have been able to provide us with are good at what they do and left to their own devices provide well rounded and logical thinking. We were left to decide what communication tools we wanted to use, Slack is preferred however they were happy to accept our request to use MS Teams. We have constant communication between us all and the feedback loop is consistent and constant.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They're transparent, deliver tangible results and the developers are mouldable to fit our business requirements. They can start earlier than us in the UK, however they are prepared to start later and work until slightly later to accommodate the time zone difference. Despite english not being the developers native language, we have experienced no issues in being able to communicate in English and they have a wealth of knowledge across multiple disciplines.

Their developers generally have little knowledge around devops, whereas in full stack roles you tend to touch on devops to setup servers, automation CI/CD pipelines, it is merely an example to bear in mind that you will need to manage and own your own devops infrastructure or request Capital Numbers to provide an expert in this area.
