Calaton Systems helped us with backend, front end, UX, testing, and infrastructure support in developing our software solution.  The work involved form-style pages, automations, logic, integrations between modules, API, authentication capabilities, and much more. 
Key deliverables included creating workspaces for users to plan, build capabilities, and implement continuous improvement.  Additionally, integrate A.I. features into existing functionality.  Lastly, automations and integrations with other applications to enhance our SaaS value proposition.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

User feedback has been overwhelmingly positive about our SaaS.  One user said our SaaS is "way better than Airtable".  Consensus from our Advisory Board is that Calaton Systems developed a "powerful tool" for us.  Our ability to respond quickly to customer feedback is the most important metric for me, and Calaton Systems has excelled at delivering quality functionality at a pace that has kept our customers happy.

Calaton Systems has always delivered items on time.  What I appreciate most about their style of project management is that they try to get to "yes".  If I'm asking for something that will take a lot of time, the Calaton Systems team will help me break the deliverable down into increments that give me what I need in the timeline I need and allows them to continue incrementally delivering on the larger ask.  We have a great battle rhythm and working relationship.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I found most impressive about Calaton Systems is how broad and deep the skill sets are on the team.  We have a small team, but our customers assume we have teams supporting our application because of how well and quickly the Calaton Systems team is able to deliver new functionality.  What I find most unique about Calaton Systems is how well the team functions while being geographically distributed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Calaton Systems could have done differently?

I have been very happy with our support from the Calaton Systems team.  I'm asking the team to do a lot on a bootstrap startup budget, and our product roadmap is aggressive and evolving. Calaton Systems has been a gracious and effective partner.

The scope was to build an MVP application, DealGen©, that enabled investors to analyze multi-family property investments before acquisition. The investor will enter deal details such as price, income, expenses, finance terms, etc., and the tool will help them make purchase decisions based on pre-defined investment criteria.

The tool will also allow them to perform side-by-side (A/B testing) analysis of the same deal by changing various attributes of the deal such as financing terms, down payments, price, etc. for the purpose of making an offer on the property, by knowing whether the investment is profitable, and by when.

Ongoing product development according to predefined milestones. Every step of the way. End result is a fully functional product, according to specs, refined during development.

Oleksandr was the main point of contact and project manager, but at the same time, I had a direct line of contact with every team member involved in the project via Slack and Zoom. They were very responsive in their communication and open to feedback every step of the way. Kept things organized (via Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines). Also, the team provided plenty of advice outside of the core project development regarding startup ecosystem.
