Please describe your company and your position there.

I am Red InnCol´s director. We are a not for profit organisation that works to improve public education in Colombia, in order to help low-income families getting out of poverty through high quality education projects. We dream with a country with much more social mobility.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire BREZLAB, and what were your goals?

We wanted to create a platform that supports students, particularly those from public schools, to prepare for the final year high school exam. This is a test that must be taken by anyone finishing high school and it is required to access to higher education.

We did not want to reinvent the wheel by replicating what websites like Khan Academy do, so we wanted to provide a set of questions that can be used by students to identify their strengths and weaknesses for the exam, and then we wanted to connect them to online resources like Khan Academy and youtube videos, where they could improve in the areas they require.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Brezlab created our graphic identity, developed a website with the basic description of the platform and developed the platform. They covered both the front and back ends of the platform. In other words, they provided a holistic solution for our task.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Brezlab started by creating the graphic identity for the project, they even helped us defining the name and doing a market survey on the key requirements for the product. Then, they worked on the back and front end for the platform, and they also created a website that is used to channel online users to the platform.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Three people in total. There was a project manager, a front end and a back end person.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launched our product just 3 weeks before the yearly test and still managed to have more than 6k tests by students all around Colombia. We also had more than 3.5k users registered. This was a pilot project which we will increase in future years.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We asked them to have weekly progress meetings where they updated us on their progress. They were quite open to keep us updated about the outcomes and this really helped the development of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of their work is impressive. They are very professional and take the time to fulfill all your requirements, event those that seem to be small details..

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are very happy with the outcomes of the project so cannot think of anything that could have been done better.

We are a team dedicated to provide web applications and automations for the company in which we work, a leader in networks and telecommunications industry. I'm a software projects manager.

Analyze, think, design and provide mockups for the web development of two applications. Branding creation for some internal areas.

What were your goals for this project?

Satisfy needs of our internal customers.

How did you select this vendor?

Was recommended by an acquaintance, and after some brief interview and a review of previous works, we decided to give them a chance.

Describe the project in detail.

We had several meetings to discuss the goals and scope of the project, therefore the details of each expected view, and regular meetings to follow up the progress of the work. During all time we had excellent bilateral communication and feedback upon the incremental deliveries.

What was the team composition?

General manager, Inbound designer, project manager and Brezlab.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have succesfully implemented the proposed designs in the frontend of our applications, receiving positive feedback from users. Also the brands designed have officially been adopted by the areas they were designed for.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Perfect.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Compliment, professionalism. They have excellent communication skills.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There wasn't big deal on some short due date delays, but I think this could improve.
