I am the health service manager at Crips Ile-de-France. We work in health service and preventative healthcare.

What challenge were you trying to address with Breakpoint Technology?

We wanted to offer a digital solution to our users, so the challenge was for us to switch our activities to digital services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Breakpoint Technology developed a smartphone application that talks about health issues. The team first offered tech consultancy and shared their knowledge of apps, websites, and digital solutions. Then, after some discussion, they proposed to build an app that functions as a social network. After they gave us advice on the features that would work, they developed the app. It’s targeted towards students and teenagers and functions like a social network specifically for that audience.

Although the Breakpoint Technology team has provided us with the solution, they continue to provide us with maintenance and fixes if needed.

What is the team composition?

We worked with about 7–8 people. We were most in contact with the lead manager, who managed the web developers, designers, and app developers. I was also in touch with the lead designer, lead developer, and project manager.

How did you come to work with Breakpoint Technology?

We inquired about and reviewed different startups and organizations that offered the services we needed. Additionally, we asked our regular partners for recommendations and established a public offer stating the services we were looking for. After we received different commercial propositions, we met with three companies and reviewed their proposals. We decided that Breakpoint Technology had the best one from a cost perspective.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around €30,000 (approximately $35,000).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2020–June 2021.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Breakpoint Technology just finished the deliverable, so we don’t have any feedback yet. The service is available, but we will be launching it officially in September 2021. We are currently testing it and getting it ready for our users. Overall, the team was efficient.

How did Breakpoint Technology perform from a project management standpoint?

The team performed very well. We mostly communicated through email or video chat.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were responsive and easy to reach, which was essential to us. In addition, the Breakpoint Technology team was very open and available to answer our questions. They also gave us good advice.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could’ve provided us with a solution that was more out of the box and unexpected. While what they advised and developed fulfilled what we needed, it wasn’t something unexpected or unique.  

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as precise as you can be and take your time to explain what you need. Give the team all the details of what you need, how you picture it, and your target users.

The association designed the screens and revised it with Breakpoint's PO to make compromises. There was a kick-off with the entire development team, to introduce themselves and discuss the project: objectives, planning, dates of demos and determining points. The front is in react.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

End-user front integrated with pixel perfect, 0 bug in production during testing detected on my side

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We agreed on 2 points per week with the PO to make returns and tests in just-in-time flow. 1 demo with the dev team every 2 sprints and 2 demos with my partners. A permanently open Slack channel, excellent po availability

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciate their transparency on advances and problems and their availability to discuss and address bugs quickly.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None.
