Our company tests prototypes of mobile devices, and we help our clients bring their products to market. Specifically, we handle compliance with regulatory and industry rules. 

I help manage our software innovation, including the internal development of applications for streamlining operations and test automation. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Bravium Consulting Inc.?

We need to keep track of the equipment used whenever we conduct tests. A lot of them were very expensive, and they needed regular maintenance and calibration. We need to record our equipment’s calibration information to comply with several accreditation bodies. 

We had a system built 20 years ago, and it was missing a lot of features, such as keeping historical logs. As a result, we were using a manual process to record the required information. We needed help developing a custom equipment management solution.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bravium built our equipment management system so we could track and record relevant information. They designed the data structure, and they first built an MVP to get feedback from end users. 

Unfortunately, the project never actually deployed due to our IT team’s lack of resources to create the necessary environment for the application. We had to launch the software on an internal server rather than a cloud-based server, which we couldn’t support.

We worked with a developer, two project managers, and their CEO. 

How did you come to work with Bravium Consulting Inc.?

They were referred to us. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement lasted from February–November 2019. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How did Bravium Consulting Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Bravium was very organized. Their project managers kept a high-level view of discussions to ensure we weren’t straying too far from our goals. They always sent summaries of our meetings, which included action items. They had never missed a deadline throughout the process.

They were very accommodating. We even asked for multiple demonstrations for different groups, and even though it was caused by internal disorganization, they were happy to oblige. 

I never had trouble reaching out to Bravium’s team at any level. Whether it was a developer or their CEO, they were all very responsive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Bravium was always willing to allocate resources for our needs. Even if they were in another project, they did everything to accommodate us and our requests. They were very professional, and their team was very competent. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. The mistakes were from our end because we lacked the resources and time necessary for this project.
